I was in a new refurbished room and it has been done lovely and to a good standard. Bed was comfortable, bathroom clean and walk in shower which is great and good size towels which is rare as they are normally the size of a flannel. Large TV, coffee facilities including nice coffee and not this nescafe rubbish and cans of still water. Iron, iron board, hairdryer and bathrobes hanging up. Nicely decorated room and very clean. I am a facilities Manager so I check all of these things when staying in a hotel especially cleanliness.

The air con was not working and I am a woman of a certain age and a body temp of a small tropical island so had to have the windows open and I was on the main road so very noisy and I woke up at 4am due to traffic.

Ambience of newly refurbished entrance lobby. Perfect central location only a couple of minutes away from Leeds railway station. Lovely recently refurbished bedroom. Comfortable bed, excellent bathroom and shower. Very pleasant and helpful staff, including the room cleaning team who all said hello and were very courteous. I was aware that hotel renovation works were ongoing before travelling, but this was almost unnoticeable and did not affect the quality of my stay.

Air conditioning not yet re-instated due to hotel renovation works, but I was able to open the window a small amount and so this didn't affect my sleeping. View from bedroom window was disappointing, as my room had an outlook over the rear of the hotel. The breakfast room was quite large and lacked some atmosphere, possibly because it seemed that there weren't many guests staying the same nights as myself? Also, and possibly connected with the previous comment, I found it slightly strange that the hot breakfast was cooked to order, rather than everything being available as self service, which is much more common in most hotels these days in my experience.

This is a lovely building. Our room on the 5th floor was newly refurbished. It was an excellent room. Spacious and comfortable. We found the staff, without exception, very helpful, friendly and efficient. We had an issue with one of the lights in our room and they dealt with it immediately. Full marks to the staff. The location is excellent, very near the railway station and the town centre. We will be back.

Our stay coincided with refurbishment of the hotel, and that is the only reason I knocked 2 points off. There were works going on which caused some dust. The air conditioning was not operating. The reception was accessed through the rear of the hotel and was in a temporary office. I would have given 10 stars if the building works had not been going on when we stayed. I think the hotel will be beautiful once the works are finished. We will definitely return when the refurbishment is completed.

Beautiful hotel, gorgeous room, and bathroom. The shower was fantastic. Spotlessly clean, comfortable bed. Staff were welcoming and friendly from reception to breakfast staff. Breakfast was yummy and had lots of choice. Liked the 20% discount code for Q parking only 10 mins walk from the hotel. I especially loved the birthday macaroons that were sent as a birthday surprise to our room. We had drinks from room service which arrived very quickly. This was a last-minute booking for 3 double rooms for our party of 6 as the house booking we had was cancelled at the last minute though booking.com due to boiler issues. I am very happy that it was as our stay at The Met Hotel was perfect. Many thanks.

Only one small thing, please can you make sure iwhen you send a bottle of prosecco to the room that it is cold. Although it was in an ice bucket, the bottle felt like it had not been chilled in a fridge. (Not enough of an issue to stop us drinking though) Thanks.

Enjoyed one of the newly refurbished double bedrooms which has been designed/specified to a high standard and, of course, offers a brand new interior. Also had a very decent buffet style cooked breakfast with the usual continental offerings

I knew from the reviews to expect refurbishment to be underway and was advised on arrival that the air conditioning wouldn't be running as overall works need to be completed first (but there was at least some fresh air available through opening sash windows). The shower drain was very slow, probably works debris needing clearing from the pipework

Help yourself breakfast full English Rooms very tidy single beds were actually 75% doubles. Tea making facilities with biscuits. Bathrooms will fitted and exceptionally clean. Late bar on site for residents.

Not so much a dislike as a piece of information. There are major renovations downstairs in the foyer area, which means main entrance is currently blocked off and access is through the car park. No facilities are impacted just means the layout downstairs is a little odd at moment. Doesn't distract from a lovely stay in any way though. Looking forward to seeing the hotel in all its glory once complete.

The room was clean and tidy. It was a nice breakfast with friend staff and there was parking available on the day which really helped in this very central location where parking is at a premium. The hotel is currently undergoing a lot of construction work but this didn't seem to affect my experience and the new refurbishment loos really nice.

The only small criticism I would have is that the room was a bit smaller than the photos on the booking (which were of a room with a higher level of decor) that showed a more spacious room but it was adequate for what I needed.

Room very good for the price. Bed comfortable Bathroom spacious and a bonus it had a bath which was great! Excellent choice at breakfast ,hot cold,continental foods. Great choice of drinks,hot ,cold,smoothies. On the whole an enjoyable stay

Left our case in left luggage room,back of desk,as room wasn’t ready.They gave a card with number on it. Came to collect case ,handed them the card to collect case,case not there,offered a case similar to mine but it wasn’t ours,still unsure where it went too,but we did get it back,after some time,and staff couldn’t be more apologetic to us,to compensate this, we were offered some free drinks at the bar.

Stayed here before was pleasant but this time room much better great shower good tv etc 309 must have been updated v happy for solo guest. Location 1st class bus just outside to airport a bonus. Building work going on no impact when in room didnt bother me special mention to girl from lithuania v professional looked after me when in temp bar while waiting for my room full marks

We had room 422 and can honestly say it was one of the best rooms we have stayed in.The bed was huge and so comfortable,there was a large tv at the bottom of the bed, the room was exceptionally clean.The staff were great in reception very friendly.On checking out we asked if we could leave our luggage as we wanted to look around leeds, straight away the guy on reception said of course you can it wasn't a problem.I couldn't fault anything about this hotel.

There wasn't anything we didn't like.
