This is a lovely old-style hotel with friendly staff, absolutely wonderful beds (firm mattresses) and a great breakfast (and I mean truly great: they even had smoked salmon on offer). They have a big garden where you can enjoy a drink (or two) which is a good place to sit on a hot day.

Our room was on the sun side of the hotel and it was a blistering hot day. Now, we knew in advance that the hotel did not have airconditioning, but for hot summer days, it would be nice to have a fan in the room. The room was so stiffling (even with the windows open at night to let the cool night air in) that we hardly slept at all. Please note, that I think this is a great hotel and if you are not here on a hot day (or you get to stay on another side of the hotel) I would truly reccommend the place.

At the end of breakfast time the staff was rearranging the chairs and tables which gave a lot of noise.

This is an old hotel where you feel the history, but it is modernised and classy. The pool was clean and well maintained. We also used the sauna which was clean and nice. Staff were friendly and helpful.

There were not enough towel racks in the bathroom. With a family of four we had nowhere to hang the towels from the pool. One of the extra beds had wheels and kept moving, the wheels could not be blocked. It would be nice to have an option to block the wheels so the bed does not move.

Plenty of choice for breakfast both hot and cold, Pool was lovely we had it all to ourselves. Good sized room with ensuite and separate toilet, fridge to keep drinks cold and water provided. Towels and dressing gowns for pool provided in room.

We were visiting friends in Luxembourg, it was about 40 min drive, road was very twisty and narrow not good for night driving.
