The bedroom was clean, thoughtfully equipped, quiet and comfortable - we had a good night's sleep. The off street car park was only a couple of minute's walk from the guest house. Breakfast was excellent.

The stairs! The property is finished to a high standard, but access to all rooms is up very steep stairs (rooms 6, 7 & 8 up a second narrow flight). Even the front door is two or three narrow, steep steps up from the street - an alternative, easier street entrance was unavailable during our stay.. Anyone with even modest mobility issues will find carrying suitcases up and down a real struggle, as we and one other couple in their 70s did during our stay. It's a shame, because otherwise Parker's has much to recommend it.

Accepted our booking at very short notice. Ideal location for the purpose of our visit. Lovely room, very nicely fitted out, excellent shower and bathroom. Comfortable bed. Very nice breakfast. Host was very helpful.

Being in the centre of town by a pub, there was noise outside, but that's beyond the owner's control, and they did advise us of the issue and ways to mitigate. How big a deal it is depends on how heavily you sleep. The building itself is very quiet, it was quite a surprise to find so many people down for breakfast as the place had been so quiet.

Fabulous two night stay at this gem of a b&b in the centre of Newtown. Spotlessly clean room, tasteful decor, very comfy bed and an excellent selection of teas and coffees including fruit and herbal teas and decafs for both plus a couple of sachets of hot chocolate. Fresh milk was available on request. A lovely touch to add not just biscuits but also a small plate containing a strawberry, a mini chocolate brownie and a Cadbury's flake. These went down a treat after a long day of walking! Excellent selection of cooked breakfasts and cereals plus yoghurt, fruit, toast and marmalade/jam. Good quality ingredients and very tasty. Very friendly owner who goes out her way to make her guests feel welcome and ensure they have a comfortable stay. Great location too, right in the centre of town and a five minute walk from the train station. Highly recommended.

Nothing, everything was perfect.

The room was lovely, all the staff were very friendly and helpful. Tina (the owner) was very kind and let us use her parking space, which was right outside the building. This was much more convenient for us than having to use the local nearby car park.

As pensioners, we found the stairs rather challenging, with our luggage. We were on the top floor. The only other downside for us was that we had a really lovely walk-in shower, but we were unable to use it as the water was very hot and turning it to the cold position was not functioning.

Excellent choice of food for breakfast including fresh fruit and yoghurt and several special cooked options. The room was clean and comfortable and very well appointed without being too fussy. Self access and registration by texts and codes was a little unusual but worked fine in the end. You are in the centre of a busy town, so will hear street noises and the town clock. Ideal for a short, comfortable stay if a little on the pricey side.

Nothing really.

I was concerned the check-in instructions involved no interactions with humans, but it worked out. They were responsive by text message. The room was absolutely lovely, and super comfortable. Breakfast was great: safe for coeliacs with a gluten-free toaster!

I never figured out where the car park was (but as I was arriving late and leaving early, could park on street). Fine for me, but a warning that the internal steps means that this is not an accessible accommodation.

Amazing stay! Room was lovely and clean with everything you could need and more including a delicious fruit and sweet treat board for our arrival. The attention to detail is impressive with all the small things like ear plugs and face wipes thought about and supplied. Breakfast was top notch to, with a lovely host. Overall one of the best hotel stays we have ever had and would definitely recommend and visit again! 👍

The room was absolutely superb and beautifully clean. The bed was large and very comfortable. The hot drink selection included decaf tea and coffee, and oat and soya m*lk sachets as well as dairy. It seemed everything had been thought about. The cooked breakfast, which we both had, was well cooked, tasty, and well presented. The breakfast staff were polite and friendly. An EXCELLENT B&B experience!

Nothing. It was truly great.

The rooms were great, very clean and tidy. Also had a great selection of tea and coffee, even non dairy milk alternatives which was a nice touch. Breakfast was delicious, had a porridge and my partner a full English. Found it helpful that the property offered free parking which guests could access.

I did have a couple of questions which it would have been good to have a received a response a bit sooner to.

This property definitely exceeded expectations. I've never stayed at a b&b before so was quite apprehensive. However what a beautiful place. Everything was done to a high standard. Breakfast was lovely. The room was clean. Some very nice touches.

If I had to be really nit picky, then I would say that the shower was very small. It was hard to move around in it. It was very clean just tricky to move around in. If you're smaller then you'll have no issues. Make sure you understand the self check in process. There won't always be someone at the property to check you in. It's a self check in process that can be complicated if you don't read the instructions properly (we had no issues whatsoever). You have to take your luggage up a narrow set of stairs - just fyi.
