The owners were very friendly and helpful. We needed to come back quite late after a family wedding but it was no bother at all. Room comfortable, clean and location wonderfully quiet. Breakfast was excellent and nothing was too much trouble, including wising me up about Air Source Heat Pumps. If we are back in the area will very much consider returning.

What a place, gorgeous area, quiet surroundings, beautiful scenery and a wonderful couple running the place. Room was nice, probably the most comfortable bed I've ever slept in! Very welcoming, nothing was hard work for them and they elven recommend a great pub to eat at, also booking a table there for us while we unloaded the car.

It's isolated, if you want facilities to walk to, book elsewhere, but you won't find as nice as that!

Our host was lovely and friendly offering us a nice cup of tea on our arrival and gave us a great recommendation for our evening meal. The beds were really comfy and the bathroom was clean and all worked well. Breakfast was perfect with beautiful fresh eggs from the their own chickens.

Nice room and the hostess kindly changed the duvet as I found it too hot. Good breakfast choice and home made jams. Easy parking outside the property. I would stay again (if it was in a different location).

In my haste to book accommodation, I failed to properly check the location of The Old School House. If you are looking for peace, quiet, good walks or ambitious cycling then this is the place for you. For me, it was too far away from the family I was visiting. So it's not so much as "didn't like" as better check the location next time I make a booking..

We had a wonderful experience at this beautiful location over the Christmas period. Our hosts were friendly and welcoming, greeting us upon arrival with tea, coffee and mince pies. Much appreciated after a long drive. The cooked breakfast was the perfect size for us and I can especially recommend the home-made jam on hot buttered toast. All served with plenty of lovely hot coffee and tea.

The beds were very soft, offering little support. Also the view was disappointing for such a rural location.

The location is great. A small village surrounded by the countryside , a quiet and peaceful environment. Exactly what I needed. The owners were very friendly and really nice people. They let me and my friend park our motorbikes in the garden. The house is spacious and clean. The garden is lovely. The owners did a very good breakfast too.

Spotlessly clean. Full sized bathroom and great water pressure in the shower! Location ideal for what we needed. Decent breakfast. Very friendly / helpful hosts.

Not a fan of synthetic pillows and duvets but this is a personal preference. I was expecting the room & bed to be a little bigger from the ‘King’ description but it was fine for what we needed, so not a problem.
