Both the mansion house and patio apartments were spacious and comfortable. Views amazing. Indoor pool, steam, sauna and jacuzzi ideal for relaxing. On-site gym also - didn’t use but looked good. Location was great for coastal path walking and only 15min drive to Aberdovey and Corris attractions. Great food 1/2 mile walk through hotel grounds to The Riverside Inn, in Pennal - really great food and really good value.

There is an on-site Indian restaurant and pub under the same management. The pub has has very limited menu. If you do not like Indian food you may come unstuck. We ate in the pub and - in my opinion - it was overpriced.

The accommodation was spacious and lovely. The view from the large windows was so beautiful. The pool was warm and inviting. The staff were great. The location was good.

The resort had trouble with the water supply - nothing to do with them, a problem that the water board were trying to resolve. It was stressful for staff at the resort but they didn't show any frustration to us and did their best to keep us informed . The pool was closed due to this issue on a day we wanted to use it, but was back in use the following day.

I thought I was booking a small place but the lodge was massive, ended up with 3 bathrooms for my daughter and myself. The pool was good and the location was nice and quiet. It was great for a quiet break

Perhaps a swing on the park for the kids, there was a bit of dog hair on the carpets but with those carpets you'd have a challenge getting them all up.

The location was beautiful surrounded by fantastic scenery The staff were very professional helpful and welcoming The food at the restaurant was very good and again the staff gave very good service and were friendly and helpful with choice of food All meals were delivered at the same time The swimming pools were a welcome bonus and enjoyed by our party of 8 adults and a baby

We were in cottages 16 and 17 Cottage 16 although the facilities and decor were dated they were adequate for our needs The only minor complaint were the cleanliness of the small shower and toilet seats need more attention paid to them as they were not clean Also the frying pan was not non stick and our eggs stuck to the pan A small shop on site would be a bonus although it is only a short drive to Machynlleth

The bungalow was excellent, amazing location overlooking the golf course and with amazing views. The 3 bedroom bungalow was spacious and well equipped, it also had good heating. The sofas and beds were really comfortable. The shower was also very good. The pool was excellent, plenty of room and warm, not overcrowded as they limit the amount of people as you have to book ahead, well organised. The pool was very close to our bungalow, there is also lounge seating area next to the pool where you can read, play games, children can do colouring in etc. They also sell a few snacks. The staff were extremely friendly & helpful. We will definitely be returning !

Enjoyed the facilities such as the gym, indoor pool and mini golf, although the outdoor pool was closed which we weren’t aware of when we booked. The size of the apartment was really good and the views were lovely. The Elemis shampoo and shower gel was nice too.

The cleanliness was disappointing, it was musty like it hadn’t been used in a while and needed a good freshen up. Noticed this especially as we had to pay a cleaning charge for our dog, which at £60 seems excessive when it’s not clean to begin with. Would also be good to sell essentials such as bread and milk on site as we were self catering and the local shop was a few miles away.

The location and staff were fantastic. The team in the restaurant went above and beyond to ensure all our needs were met and were extremely polite and helpful. The pool team were also very helpful. The bungalow we stayed in had a good layout, plenty of space and all the things you'd need for a family of four. The view of the valley from the higher places bungalows were also great to wake up to. Lots of local beaches to visit within 25 minutes drive such as Aberdovey and Tywin.

We stayed in one of the three bed bungalows. The overall cleanliness was to an ok standard but attention needs to be made to the ceilings where there were numerous cobwebs and spiders in the second bathroom by the side entrance. I cleared out quite a few. The bungalow backs up on to a woodland so you'd expect a few but there were a lot! The bungalow also smelt a bit musky but after a few hours with the windows open, that cleared.

Having read a number of negative reviews I was pleasantly surprised by the accommodation and facilities on offer. We travelled as a family of four, children are aged 9 and 11 as well as our dog. We had a three bedroom bungalow, number 18. This was much larger than I expected with a large open plan kitchen and lounge, 3 good sized bedrooms, a large family bathroom as well as a second shower and toilet. All clean and comfortable. Kitchen had everything we needed. Lovely view and we'll situated in the park. Pool area and changing rooms were clean and kids had a great time swimming. My other half enjoyed using the well maintained gym and i enjoyed the steam room. Kids enjoyed playing the 9 hole pitch and putt golf available too. The reception area had games for the children to play also and table tennis to play in the hall next door. Tennis courts too however we didn't play. The grounds are well maintained and manicured, lovely woodland walk on site too for dog walks including a nature trail for the kids.

Recently we visited the Resort, our family absolutely love it. Our view from the apparent stunning. Very friendly and helpful staff.The location of the resort is good up to 50min traveling by car you can visit many nice places. Restaurant was good, friendly staff as well. The snooker room we love it.Beautiful nature around, even staying only in the resort you have plenty entertainments for the family. Indoor pool and souna very good, the jacuzzi wasn't working but was ok. We had namy other things to do such as indoor badminton, table tennis, range of many bord games. The most surprising thing was we had souna in one of our bathrooms absolutely We love it.We really enjoyed our stay. We are definitely recommending the place is super suitable for families and friends with pets.

We stayed in one of the Herons apartments, the apartment really lovely. They are 2two things what we didn't like and the Resort can improve are the cleaning and maintenance. In the bedroom with the single beds the mattress springs were deformed, so it wasn't very comfortable for sleeping. Around the apartment almost everywhere there were dust on the night side lamps and the toilet sit downstairs was not clean at all. But we didn't consider to complain because we had two more bathrooms with toilets. Otherwise everything else was very good. The information in the apparent very useful, good WiFi in the dinning and kitchen.

I’ve given our stay a 10 because everything that mattered to us was perfect. We stayed in room 12 at the top of the Mansion House, amazing views from all windows. The beds and towels were spotlessly clean and we had a little kitchen area to cook food and make drinks. Jane on reception was absolutely lovely as were all the staff we encountered. The grounds were pristine and the rhododendrons stunning. The indoor pool was clean and the water temperature perfect.

I have to give a balanced review. The Mansion House is a beautiful old lady who, like the writer is showing her age. Although clean and tidy she could do with a bit of a spruce up, especially the kitchen cupboards. If you have walking difficulties it’s a long long way up the stairs to the top. None of this mattered to us and we’d book that room again to be able to see the wonder views.
