We stayed at Hotel As Torres da Hermida on our second night of walking the Camino from Sarria, and could not have picked a better place to rest up after our first two (long) days on the trail! The hotel is absolutely beautiful, the rooms were comfortable, and the staff were all incredibly welcoming. We especially appreciated that the hotel arranged a taxi to and from Ligonde for us. Dinner was delicious. Highly recommend breaking up the leg after Portomarin with a stopover in here, and taking advantage of the noon checkout with a shorter day ending in Palas de Rei.

There was nothing I didn’t like. They made my experience the best ! It was a fabulous stay. I also had dinner and a massage, everything was great. And knowing that I would leave very early before breakfast is served they packed breakfast for me for to take with me on Camino. It was so kind and thoughtful. A true hospitality !

This is a truly special property. Wonderful mix of old world charm and present-day amenities. I was helped with a taxi to/from the Camino and was welcomed by staff by name at the door. The room was beautifully decorated and the terrace was a lovely place to unwind with a glass of wine and olives. I saw previous reviews that were not great regarding the restaurant but I have to say I was blown away. The food was fantastic and reasonably priced, and the service was exceptional. Everyone made me feel like I was the only person staying there. I found it while researching a non-alburgue type of lodging, but I’d say that if you are planning a trip in the general vicinity you should give this hotel a try. I had the most basic room type but got a peek at a bigger room while they were cleaning, and wow! Very special. I’m just sad I didn’t get a chance to use the spa/fitness center due to my schedule.

A magical oasis!

Stunning location with gorgeous sunsets. Amazing host Melvin - very hospitable, generous, warm and helpful. He really made all the difference to my stay as I felt very at home. Very good breakfast. Pork ribs for dinner was the best! Very comfortable bed, nice large terrace to enjoy the birds and trees. Safe surroundings made for beautiful walks. Sauna and jacuzzi an added cherry on top. I absolutely loved my stay at the hotel and would love to come back.

This property is awesome. It should be a five-star property. The manager Melvin is wonderful and truly passionate about the place. There is a lot of history to this beautiful property and it is set in a location that is about 15 minutes from anything else but that is part of the beauty of it. If you can get a room with a balcony that would be the best. That food was delicious in there restaurant. Top notch. If I am ever in the area I will go back.

Very peaceful and comfortable with helpful staff. Best shower on the Camino!

Although they have a wellness centre with hot tub and sauna, only one person can use it at a time. During my stay, a guest had reserved it for 4 hours, so I didn’t get to use it

Everything! The room was posh, the buildings are gorgeous, an old renovated manor or small monastery. Dinner was A plus - absolutely loved the bbq pork ribs. Breakfast great, too. The hotel is a bit off the camino but makes up for it by sending a car to pick you up, and then take you back the following morning, gratis. The staff was very nice and very helpful.

Leaving! Should have stayed 2 days

We were walking the Camino and needed to be picked up before Ligonde. They came and got us for a fee. The entire hotel is amazing! The staff was super attentive! The room was amazing with a bathtub which I special requested. The restaurant was excellent! The dishes were made to order so the wait time was longer than usual but worth it. We asked for sangria which I don’t think was on the menu but they made it and it was fantastic. Their shuttle dropped us of in Ligonde to resume our Camino. Even though it is out of the Camino-would definitely return!

It was a long wait time for dinner. My daughter saw it stated on the menu-so I think it was fair-just know that up front!

Amazing hotel. Beautifully restored old building. Room and all facilities are great. Attention to every detail. Very attentive and kind staff. Location is great in a quiet and beautiful area. Floor cooling rather than air conditioning. Absolutely recommend!
