I enjoyed how clean the lobby was upon entering. We got checked in pretty fast, and he was friendly. The parking lot was well laid out, and the pool was open pretty late until 12 am. The room was clean, although it smelled slightly moist. Found no stains on any bedding, which seems rare lately. We did not partake in the free breakfast just because of very limited seating. It did look good, though! We ate at breakfast place one building over, and that was very good with huge serving sizes. It's honestly very hard finding a nice place for the money. So, this, to me, is a rare gem. It's not super amazing, but for the price, I would highly recommend it!

There wasn't really much that we disliked, but some things were slightly uncomfortable. For instance, they only had one small container of body wash by the whirlpoo, which had the tamper strip ripped. I figured one body wash by the whirlpool, and one container for the bathroom would have made more sense. We also found an open container of lotion with the tamper evident strip clearly broken. There was only a tiny amount left in the tube, so who knows how many people used it before us. We went ahead and tossed the wash and the lotion so the next people didn't have to worry about it.

Location was perfect for our visit to Iowa state university. Also the room was very clean and had enough towels for 3 of us which is the amount of people in our party. You would have to ask if you needed more. They had hot tea and coffee out near front desk which is always a nice bonus.

The breakfast wasn’t my favorite, but it wasn’t bad. It was standard cereal, egg dish, breads, juices, and waffles. Syrup was strange tasting and one of the bagels was mushy which the kitchen person said because it’s frozen and still defrosting. I found the other bagels soft, but not mushy. So although she was trying to be helpful which I appreciate, I think they could improve in that one area…. In other words if Foods are frozen like bread then maybe take it out earlier or the day before. Although this may be hard because occupancy is never definite so gauging how many you would need out could be hard.

They need more help ! The lady that signed us in and in charge at night was so good and pleasant ! She was there in the morning also and manning everything by herself from kitchen to gront desk! She was very nice and didn’t complain but she was running from situation to situation frying to keep and satisfyf every need! Kudos to her!

First floor. Plenty of room in the room and bathroom. Very nice entry and plenty of parking.

The waffles were kind of tough and not real tasty. I only made 1/2 the second day and did not finish it. Did not notify the front desk but two lights were out in the bathroom. The water is hard but we overcome that in all hotels our way. :)

The breakfast was not great. they were out of pancake mix and had no butter. THere were no rolls or donuts, just bread and bagels which wasnt good without butter.

The halls were not vaccuumed so I was concerned but once we got in the room all was well. The hair dryer cord was quite short but that's a minor thing since I'm a tall person.

I know there is not a lot of demand for people with food allergies. It would be nice to offer a few items gluten free. I ended up bringing my own GF options. This is something I'm used to seeing. Hard boiled eggs would be nice for those morning you do biscuits and gravy. Sausage is questionable because some have gluten added to the ing.

Conveniently located in Ames, short drive from Iowa state. Rooms were spacious, clean and comfortable. Exactly what you'd expect from a hotel in this price range.

Breakfast is pretty bare bones, usually only 2 savory hot items that were the same most days.

The gentleman was more than accommodating and went above and beyond to make sure we where comfortable. That's why we also return.

That everyone gets up at the same time for breakfast. Lol Relax people and eat later 🤣

Location! Right off the highway and close to gas stations and restaurants. The staff was lovely and helpful. The pool was great and the breakfast was good.

The beds. I woke up with a stiff back, the bed was very firm. Also the desk chairs were all shredded.

Room was clean and bed comfortable.. Workout room is small but equipment is in good shape. Breakfast area stocked and clean.

No chair in bed room. Furniture and carpet have seen better days.
