Huge rooms, we were three and we had two separate (separated by an arch) rooms, each over 30sq.m. Because our rooms were built into the rock, temperature was stable and excellent (perfect, since it was 39' outside). Excellent parking, nice piscina (with bar) and garden. Very quiet. Other rooms have verandas too. Quality fixings and amenities. Friendly staff (although English-challenged). We would go again.

There is not much we didnt like, although: - the jacuzzi at the big room might seem nice to young romantic couples (maybe) but it is completely useless for anyone else. It would be better to have a second bathroom instead! - the bathroom could be double the size, there is huge room available. - breakfast was OK but should have a few more items, e.g. scrambled eggs. - it is not in the old part of Matera (but that was OK for us). - the piscina is open to visitors for a few hours which means it can get a bit crowded on weekends.

Beautiful property and grounds with large comfortable rooms. We enjoyed the breakfast and the staff were friendly and attentive.We walked to the old town easily 45/50 minutes. We also used taxis which are expensive at around €20 for a 10 minute journey. It goes without saying Sassi is stunning, as is the old new town. The new new town which includes the area around the hotel not so much, but this is explained when you book. The free and easy parking was an important choice for us. The pool closes religiously on the 30/09 each year. It looked great.

As there are no restaurants or bars nearby, and the hotel bar advertised it closed at 18:00, the advertised mini bar was thought to be a plus. However the mini bar/fridge only held two bottles of water. There were only plastic cups in the room. I think there should be a better drink offering for those that want it and glasses and a bottle opener.

My husband and I had an incredible stay at Masseria Santa Lucia! The property is huge and absolutely beautiful, with every detail carefully designed. The room was spacious, well-decorated, and incredibly comfortable. The staff were so pleasant and welcoming (they even offered a list of amazing restaurant nearby and in Sassi), making the experience even more enjoyable. Breakfast was perfect, with just the right amount of delicious options to start the day. I highly recommend this place for anyone looking to stay in Matera! Bonus: the swimming pool if you’re going during summer 🙌

Masseria is outside the sassi and work well if you have a car. Staff were able to assist us in telling us where to park to access the city of Matera. During summer it can be incredibly hot so being able to relax by the pool and then heading up to the city for the 9pm sunset and dinner proved to be a wonderful strategy.

We stayed in the Frantoio Deluxe Suite and the air conditioning was far from adequate. The location of the system is at the front door and fails to cool the room. The average temperature we experienced in the room was 25 degrees.

We had a wonderful stay here in Residence Masseria Sta. Lucia while in Matera. They have Free, secure and safe parking. Friendly staff and welcoming. Andrea always making sure our room is clean and always willing to assist. Not far from Sassi di Matera.

We like that the rooms are big and clean, we had a nice walk inside the area with a beautiful view at the top garden.They have a good selection of breakfast. We had a wonderful time here.

Definitely recommend this hotel! The conversion of this 275 year old agricultural property was done with great care and taste. Our room was the largest and it was huge, well furnished, very clean, with a big tub, bug TVs, and all around excellent. Staff, particularly Enzo, were very helpful and kind. Plenty of secured parking. Breakfast was free and simple but good quality. There is a pool for use in summer and a football pitch was being prepared for next summer. Restaurant on sight looks good, but we didn't eat there. Winter prices were very favorable. If you want excellent accommodation outside of town center and don't mind driving 10-15 minutes to go into town, this is the place for you.

Location is surrounded by industrial warehouses and auto dealerships and is not ideal as you cannot walk to any restaurants, stores, etc. But you do get a pool and big rooms as the tradeoff. Breakfast was basically the same everyday...could have had more variety, or maybe offered something hot. The outdoor "atmospheric" music playing every morning at 08:00am woke us up.

extremely nice location and very good welcoming staff. a real "sassi" experience. also the position is incredible and can be only suggested. The facility for electric car recharge on site is of course a good plus. in spring, summer and early autumn for sure also the outside can be an extra attraction. They plan to open a Spa which can make also the unforgettable experience throughout the year

Restaurant offer, not in line with the splendid location for the value for money offer. Food excellent to be said though

This hotel is situated quite far from the center of intreging Matera in an industrial zone with lots of good service (supermarkets, barbers, carproblems, daytime restaurants), about ten minutes with car from hotspots. But; the hotel are luxuriously appeling, and the service excellent. They also have a inhouse restaurant serving realy good food. The structure in it self reminds of litte castle and really appeling. Parking perfect. breakfast good, poolarea fantastic; yea; this is a realy good hotel.

More or less nothing; we had some captious arguments in the restaurant about milk in the the coffee (they dont have milk of some reason); and the hiking aspect is of course a prob. But with a car and some sobriety there is not realy a problem. A realy exellent hotel with good and hepful staf.

The residence is stunning and enabled us to have a very relaxing and enjoyable stay. The staff were great, very friendly and we would highly recommend to friends. Thank you to all the staff.

Our only issue was the coffee in the mornings. We love a latte in the UK to start the day but could not get anything close here. Every morning we would get a different type of coffee. I would suggest that they invest in a decent coffee machine in the breakfast room. It would be well worth the investment.

Gorgeous property. Just like the photos, maybe even better. Rooms were spacious, clean, and comfortable. Pool was clean and refreshing. The grounds and lobby are meticulously maintained. I thought the breakfast that was included had a pretty good variety but another family member disagreed.

It was located in an industrial neighbourhood and, at first, we thought we were lost. You do need a car to get around, especially if you plan to tour old Matera
