Fabulous little B@B in a quiet street, just a few minutes walk from the train station in Matera, and an easy walk into the centre. My room was virtually new, very well appointed, and spotlessly clean. The continental breakfast had a huge selection to choose from, and the host was on hand to make fresh coffee and offer advice and answer any questions you may have. It is a family run business, and nothing was too much trouble for these charming people. On the day I checked out, I walked to the train station only to find my train had been cancelled until much later in the day. Not wishing to drag my case around with me, I went back to the B&B and asked if I could leave it with them, this they readily agreed too, and made sure they would be available when I returned to collect it. I will definitely be booking with them again on my next visit.

The location was very very good, easy access to the beginning of any venture into the old city. Accommodations were very suitable for a solo traveller and the breakfast served was very good. There were lots of options to choose from. With google translate we were able to communicate quite easily.

The only problem I had was working the keys properly. The host was very helpful in assisting me.

Casa dei Sogni is very well located for walking into the middle of Matera: just 10 minutes walk to the pedestrianised central area and 20-30 minutes to the cathedral and the famous Sassi. The room was comfortable with a good sized bed, reasonably big en suite, and a small balcony looking onto the garden. Breakfast, served in the kitchen, was fine. We were provided with a very useful map of Matera

The B&B was hard to find even with SatNav - a small notice by a range of bells next to a door to a series of flats was the only indication we were there. Parking was difficult, but the owner's wife valiantly stood in a spot once it became free while I drove round the block to park. (It's on a one -way street). The compensation, once we had parked, was free parking so close to the amazing city of Matera.

Easy walking distance from town centre, close to coffee bars and restaurants. The day I went was very busy and hot 🔥, I had a better stroll around in the early morning and evening. Free parking is more like pot- luck, I was fortunate on arrival. Me and my dog 🐕 had a good room with a balcony but paid extra for it. Nice stay 👍

It was amazing experience. I had wonderful time - very clean room (you could eat from the floor), comfortable bed, big bathroom, room was nice furnished. Great location - only few minutes walking to the center. Breakfast - more I could imagine to eat. However the most amazing is the owner who made all possible to make me feel welcome. He shared with me map, tips about the city. He made sure I have in the room everything that I need - always with the smile and sympathy. I recommend it 100%. For sure I will come back some day ! :)

The guesthouse is located on the outskirts of Matera's old town and it is very easy and quick to walk to the Sassi area. The hosts are very nice and helpful, they provide a lot of information about places worth visiting in Matera. I had a single room but its size was fully satisfactory. The wifi was of a very good standard. Free parking along the street I found without much problem about 100-140 m from the facility. The breakfast was typically Italian (sweet) but varied, including original bread from Matera. Guests have access to a shared kitchen with the possibility of cooking food and water for tea and coffee. For such a range of services, the price of the room is really competitive.

This is an excellent B&B with very nice hosts. Close to train and centro storico. Good breakfast provided. Early check-in at noon. Nice single room.

Just want to mention that from the list of facilities provided by booking.com you get the impression that you will have access to a shared kitchen (coffee machine, oven etc.). However this is not the case. A small refrigerator in the room would have been nice.

I loved the location (3 mins walking from the train station, 10 mins from the sassi). The room was clean, there was enough space. They let me leave the luggage after the checkout. The breakfast is nice (coffee plus croissant plus fruits).

The owners apparently live in the very same apartment, and you can hear them early in the morning as they wake up and start doing stuff around the house. So my sleep wasn't perfect.

The Host is very kind and helpful. The apartment was perfect! I would return whebever I go again to Matera! The omd town is only 5min by foot reachable. There are man parking spaces around!

Great place to stay in Matera. Close to the city center and yet quite and calm. The host is extremely polite and would help you in every possible way. The parking near the apartment is free and it is not difficult to find a place (which is extremely convenient if you travel with a car).
