We stayed for a week and absolutely loved it. Everything was perfect, the place was clean, tidy, and very well maintained. The location is great, just a short walk from the center. Breakfast was good for the price. Parking is a bit tricky, but its for free if you don't mind walking 5–10 minutes. Vincenzo was a fantastic host: super friendly and clear in his communication. We’ll definitely be coming back someday!

Everything was perfect.

The location of the place. It's only 9 mins walk from the central station and so close to the center. And Vincenzo is very helpful and accommodating. We were told we can check in at 10:30 am so by the time we get there around past 12 noon, we get to relax in our room and start our sightseeing. Breakfast is a bomb. And we get to meet other people during breakfast as we get to sit together in one big table.

Honestly, nothing. I give this place a 10. And I would definitely come back here and would recommend this to my clients.

Very nice and spacious room . The host Vin was very helpful and tended to all of our questions and needs. The room was near to all attractions and parking spots which made everything easier. Would recommend for anyone wanting to see Matera and have a nice and welcoming experience.

We really enjoyed our stay at Da Vinci! The staff was very kind and supportive. Special thanks to Vincenzo, for his suggestions in terms of places to visit and to eat. Recommended places to eat were indeed very good, both in terms of the price and food quality! The breakfast is very nice too, so you can be both full and satisfied. The location is wonderful! Just right in front of all sightseeings. So in terms of price-and-quality it's an amazing choice!

Perfect location on the edge of the old town with convenient parking in street nearby with a meter. Modern apartment with a very comfortable room with hot shower. Vincenzo gave us some useful tips on what to see, especially the film at Casa Noha on the history of Matera, and places to eat. Generous breakfast on site.

Location, location, location :) very close to historic center of Matera - literally 2 minutes away from the apartment. Parking was not easy but there are availabilities in walking distance. A rich Italian breakfast is being prepared every morning. Helpful instructions to check in

Not much privacy as it is like an apartment with people staying in different rooms. Despite sound blocking windows, you can still hear noise from the street. None of these were big problems for us though, overall we liked the place and would definitely stay there again!

Excellent location at entrance to sassi but in a comfortable spacious very safe location (historic residential building to elite government cadres). Newly renovated and modern, good bed, excellent shower (size, water pressure) and friendly atmosphere with lovely Italian breakfast included. Vincenzo who owns and runs the place is wonderful.

Vincenzo was super kind, breakfast was good, and coffee was delicious, entertainment for our 2-year-old by Vincenzo included. He was super responsive and gave a lot of recommendations for the city. The room itself was big and clean and even though the window was in direction to the big street, it was very quiet and no trouble sleeping.

The bathroom smelled a little bit, through the pipes probably. Besides that, very nice stay.

The host is really nice and helpful, the room has a good size, clean. Good breakfast. Location is very convenient for visiting the old town.

You should bring ear plugs as the street is quite noisy and the bikers likes it loud.

Da Vinci was an excellent choice! Perfect location, just minutes away from the hustle and bustle of the gorgeous Matera town centre as well as the new & modern train station. I stayed with my 2 friends in one of the rooms and it was great! The room was small-ish for us 3, but didn't really mind as we were out most of the time and didn't bring large suitcases. The beds were comfy & clean, the en-suite bathroom with shower was acceptable, and the towels were provided. The owner, Vincenzo, was exceptionally friendly and accommodating, helped us a lot with interesting tips & tricks and recommended great dining spots. Vincenzo prepared a delicious breakfast each morning, with coffee and tea galore, and we ended up chatting with him about Matera, life, and travels, as we ate our breakfast. Thank you for making us feel so welcome!

Can't remember anything negative, perhaps only that the A/C was a bit weird, it worked at times, and then at others, it seemed not to, but overall nothing major.
