The hotel is located in the central square, with a balcony overlooking the Piazza. Since Matera is a "walking" town, the hotel's perfect location is very convenient. The check-in was easy, and the manager was helpful, kind, and charming. Breakfast (included) is provided by either of two bars in the Piazza: very nice. The room is very modern, with white decor, a comfortable bed, and great air conditioning. Matera is a lovely town, well worth a visit, and if I was to return, I would re-book the hotel without reservation.

Small room was quite lovely. It overlooked the square, which was understandably noisy at night. We had tickets for breakfast at nearby cafes, both of which were great. Loved, loved, loved the all-white color scheme, especially the floor. It felt like we were in another dimension.

We couldn't get the airco to work. It wasn't terribly hot, but the airco would have let us close up the room from some evening noise.

This is a truly beautiful, stylish, very white and modern conversion in a building right in the centre of Matera. Nice views from the corner balcony. Bathroom is in a glassed section in the centre of the room but private enough for a couple. Breakfast is at one of two cafes (with a voucher) in the piazza below. Everything within walking distance. Managers Maria and Sophia are both kind and helpful. Parking is available about five minutes walk away.

Hate to say this but maybe a bit too much style over practicality. Glassy bathroom floors get quite wet because shower door opens out. Then if you walk in with shoes on its gets muddy. No bath towels only bathrobes (personally we don't like them). Even in April the noise from the piazza and cafes below was high. When closed the windows onto the balcony really keep the noise out but it might be a problem in warmer months.

Squeaky clean all white (everything is white, from floor to ceiling...) very modern rooms in a historical building on the main square, with super friendly staff as everyone in Matera we have discovered. We were upgraded to a larger room overseeing the square, which is very lively but did not prevent us from sleeping very well thanks to the good isolated windows and super comfy and large beds. We left the car at one of the parking recommended by the hotel, just 5min walk from there.

A little gem with a great location in Matera, the rooms were super clean and all the amenities were perfect, I particularly loved all the technological efforts that the place made to give you a proper sense of security and privacy. The location was perfect, great space inside the rooms and free coffee for all the guest on the reception. The staff was extremely nice and kind.

Breakfast, sadly I was surprise with the people of Cafe Tripoli, the staff was nice but there were all in a rush to serve you, also no options were explained and we had to grab something fast as there were people waiting, also we were not explained how quantities worked on breakfast so we only had meals and no coffee. Vittorio Veneto had better service.

It was super clean located in a great location , close to every thing and easy walk to the parking garage where we parked our car, the breakfast was a cup of coffee and orange juice with a croissant

The bathroom was in the middle of the room with glass walls half way through the ceiling it wasn’t a big deal since I was sharing the room with my husband but can’t imagine sharing the room with a friend or even with your kids

Great position in what the locals call the “square”. Minutes walk to restaurants, cafes, bars and views of Matera. But lovely and private and quiet. The Sassi area less than 10 mins. Payable parking less than 5mins. Place was spotless and comfortable. We had a lovely balcony off our room overlooking the square. The toiletries were lovely and the colour changing shower super cute. Would stay again in same place.

Just a small thing. There was only herbal teas available and I do like a cup of tea and milk in the afternoon. If that could be added. Wasn’t sure about the water whether it was free.

A historical building in the centre of Matera and opposite the entrance to Sassi di Matera - that is a great start! Our room was facing the beautiful square and we loved the fact, that everything in this hotel including the rooms was white, so one could see, how well taken care and clean everything is! Mattress was divine, staff was exceptional and the breakfast - you get coupons for 2 cafés around the corner - in the café we chose was wonderful as well! Perfect location to start your walks through the city and Sassi, many restaurants around too. Absolutely fantastic value for money, would stay there again any time.

All perfect, you just cannot open the windows at night, when the square is still busy, but that was no problem for us.

Room clean, spacious. Very bright. View from the balcony of the square and cafe. Towels and bathrobes in the room. It is also possible to prepare coffee or tea. The bathroom is located in the middle of the room, but it was carefully constructed and its location did not bother us. Perfect location - center of Sasi. The lady who greeted us was very nice and helpful - thank you for the support via WhatsApp and help with parking. Being woken at 6.15 am with council leaf blower machine and night revellers. No plug I'm the hand basin and no instructions for air-conditioning unit. All minor .
