Firstly, the staff were delightful! My friends and I fell in love with Guiseppe & Rocco. They were so warm and helpful. We immediately felt right at home. Love that it is a small hotel - very calming amongst the hustle & bustle. Brilliant location. Drinks off the balcony with a view to die for. Rooms beautifully decorated with quality fabrics and the bathroom a treat with the best water pressure.

Matera was experiencing a summer like no other so I Recommend you request for the plastic-coated mattress protector that most hotels have these days, be removed. Made a huge difference.

I recently stayed at this incredible hotel in Matera, and it was an unforgettable experience. The owner was fantastic, offering invaluable recommendations and personally assisting with parking and highlighting the best viewpoints in this stunning city. The hotel itself is gorgeous and impeccably maintained. The terrace offers breathtaking views of Matera and the cathedral – an absolutely amazing sight. I was working remotely during my stay, and the wifi was flawless, making it an ideal spot for remote work. Location-wise, it's perfect. Situated right in the heart of Matera, it's super close to all the key attractions. While the parking lot is just a few minutes away, I appreciated being able to drop my bags off at the hotel first. One of the highlights was the delicious breakfast served on the balcony, accompanied by the spectacular view. Overall, it was an amazing experience, and I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Matera.

Everything. The staff was wonderful, especially Camilla at the front desk. Hotel and rooms were beautiful, with a mix of modern and classical. Room was spacious, beds and pillows fantastic. Shower was one of the best we have encountered in a hotel. Outlets for electronics charging were plentiful. Location was terrific, right in the middle of the pedestrian zone, seconds from restaurants, shops and the sassi (old stone UNESCO city). If I could give this hotel more than 10, I would.

Amazing, beautiful hotel, situated in a lovely restructured palace, with a fantastic position for visiting Sassi by foot. Public parking is also super close. Our special compliments go the decorative solutions inside the palace and the fantastic hotel perfume. The front staff was beyond helpful and gave us great recommendations for restaurants and itineraries. The service in general was impeccable. The room was very comfortable, the bed and linens were great, the bathroom- comfortably sized, with small toiletries and slippers provided. We’ve also had a nice breakfast. Would absolutely recommend it to anyone and definitely hope to come back!

The only thing I can think of is the layer of dust on the black tile shelf in the bathroom and the fact that after unlocking the door, you had to literally force it with the shoulder because the door wouldn’t open easily.

This was a last minute reservation. We were so happy to find such a high quality room as such a lovely hotel at that last minute for the price that we did. It was lovely. Nice breakfast in the morning. The room and bathroom were very large. Great view from the room as well. The refrigerator was well stocked. All great things for an impulsive getaway.

The room was a little warm.

The location is ideal, offering stunning views of Matera. The staff were friendly and always ready to assist. The room was clean and decently sized, with a kettle available. However, I was bitten by an insect during the night, which was unfortunate. Also, while the room provided tea and water, there was no coffee, my first time staying in an Italian hotel without it. Overall, a pleasant stay thanks to the location and helpful staff.

Location, obviously. It's right in the center, next to everything even parking. Decoration and amenities were good, rooms are modern and actual.

Breakfast was disappointing for the price point. Even if the hotel has a small kitchen or short of staff, not having scrambled eggs and other warm options for breakafst is unforgivable, this is a staple of breakfasts everywhere, and the choice in everything else was very thin. Coffee was just ok. Guys, make an effort, really! Check out was too early. Minimum should be 12H everywhere.

Location - In the heart of city ,you can walk to old town and new town just a bit way. Easy to walk to Palombaro Lungo and Matera view point Room - Wide ,clean and comfortable Breakfast - Continental Breakfast in Italian Style bread, milk , ham,cheese,coffe , boiled egg for Thai may be not ok but for us is fine. View - Faboulous old town view,its amazing.Espeacially fireworks on New Year Count Down.We are unexpect this event.Super Surprise.!!! Surely,I will be back to Lo Stemma once.

Lo Stemma Luxury is a quaint and beautiful boutique hotel. My husband and I stayed here one night. We were early, but upon arrival the lovely receptionist named Camila greeted us and said the room was ready. She explained everything brilliantly and gave us our keys. The room was spacious, comfortable, and very modern. There was great WiFi throughout the hotel. The hotel is in an old castle and beautifully decorated to fit the period, but with modern touches. Breakfast was wonderful. Be sure to look up at the ceilings, as they are hand painted and hand decorated. We highly recommend this beautiful hotel.
