We stayed in the family suite / apartment. It was spacious and comfortable and meticulously clean, and has a verandah overlooking the garden and country side. Well off the main road and extremely quiet, with a fabulous dark night sky. It’s actually even nicer than the photos show, and only an 8 minute drive out of Yackandandah. It was perfect for our weekend at the folk festival.

Amazing location. Beautiful gardens. Loved seeing white-necked heron and great egret fishing in the dam. Loved the local wildlife at nearby creek (yellow tufted honeyeaters). The A/C was a godsend. The place had everything we needed at a great price. Incredible cleaning service from hosts. Loved seeing the horses and the great view of the mountain forests.

Noise. The bathroom fan was the loudest I have ever come across, this proving to be an issue not just when we use it, but when the neighbour’s used it, we could hear the rumbling. Another area of noise was the works going on all Saturday afternoon. For somewhere the promotes quiet, I understand some noise may occur, but all Saturday afternoon when wanting a relaxing time is not okay.

The room was large, comfortable furniture, bed was really comfortable and very clean. Location was amazing, so peaceful and quiet. Hosts were friendly and accommodating. Check in was simple. The filtered spring water was a very nice touch. Would definitely recommend staying here and I would stay there again.

There wasn't anything not to like

The room was perfectly clean and comfortable, furnished in a simple and modern style. Room had all the amenities I needed like heating/cooling, dishes and cutlery, kettle with tea, coffee and sugar, toaster, cleaning supplies, wardrobe, an extra blanket, towels and some toiletries. The bed was the comfiest one I’d ever stayed in. The staff were very friendly and accomodating. Beautiful and peaceful area and the yard was well-maintained so the view from my window was gorgeous. Lots of care from the lovely staff have gone into maintaining this place.

The wifi disconnected only once during my visit, but was a quick fix to reconnect through my phone’s settings.

It was a rather comfy secluded location not too close and not too far from the nearest town. The room was stocked with all essentials and restocked with little goodies which was greatly appreciated. Best of all, was the warm and friendly atmosphere.

The room was large and well appointed. Everything was at a high level. Bathroom was excellent. The view through the picture window was stunning.

The location was a little out ot the way, but easily found with GPS, and the quietness was an extra and welcome feature.

It was quiet, comfortable and clean with real milk in the fridge. It was easy to find at night travelling back from Yackandandah. The owners Susan and Alan were kind and helpful. The view was stunning looking out of the window.

It was in an amazing location with lots to do and it was very well maintained. All amenities were provided and the couple were very friendly and helpful.

Network connectivity was questionable but it wasn’t required as it forced me and my partner to actually enjoy our surroundings and take in the better parts of the area.

We always stay at the Colonial inn when travelling between Melbourne and Sydney. We love it for it's beautiful location amongst the trees, waking up to beautiful birdsong!!! It's also Yackandandah and close to the highway. The rooms are HUGE. Spacious, super clean and will all amenities you need. The owners are such lovely people and really lovely to have a chat to. Honestly, such a winner for the price and we will continue to stay here!!
