We stayed one night at the Golden Heritage on our way from NSW to Ballarat and it was great for our needs. Rooms were spotlessly clean and the air con was on when we arrived so the room was nice and cool. The spa was great for my kids and the single beds were great for them in a separate room. Flexibility regarding breakfast options were great and my kids also enjoyed the small pool as it was very hot when we were there. Location was fairly convenient, a short drive into town.

There was a bit of traffic noise from trucks throughout the night from the road, the pillows were also very puffy, some flatter options would have been good. Also there wasn’t much flexibility regarding a later checkout, but overall we had a lovely stay.

We stayed in the 2 bedroom cabin and it was spacious and had a lovely view from the verandah across the countryside. The place was really well set up for cyclists with a secure lock up area. The staff/management were very helpful and clearly committed to running the place to a very high standard. Although it was on a relatively busy road, I didn’t get disturbed by the sound of traffic. We were pleasantly surprised because we thought it would just be an average country motel but it was much better than average.

It is a 20 minute walk from the centre of Beechworth. This was no problem for us, but good to know.

Staff member who greeted us was very helpful and offered great advice. She handed over a charging cable for our EV so we could be certain of getting home again without any trouble. We found the air conditioning to be very effective (and welcome on the moderately warm days we were there). The beds and pillows were above average, from our experience over many years of motel accommodation. Everything we wanted was available. The room appeared to have been recently refurbished and everything (eg: WiFi, hot water) worked to specification. The premises was around 2km from the town centre and provided pleasant views and a swimming pool.

Really grasping here, but the bathroom fan was pretty noisy. A bath as well as a shower might be welcomed by some visitors, but that would require major changes to the rooms. Nothing else comes to mind.

No meals but the access to the township of Beechworth was a short walk or taxi trip. The units/cottages were separate with tables and chairs on the verandahs and views of the surrounding treed areas and open spaces. The cottage was clean and provided the facilities needed for self catering.

A storm struck on the morning before we left and the power was out from 6am, totally out of the control of the management. However it meant the whole town was blacked out and put a minor dampener on our plans for the day. We will be back to hopefully finish our plans for the weekend at some later date.

We’ve stayed in Beechworth many times and Golden Heritage is our favourite motel. The rural view from the king suite is spectacular. The room is very comfortable and has everything you need for a couple of nights. The large shower rose is a winner. It’s a short drive into town but we prefer the 15 minute walk which gives us the chance to checkout the lovely old homes along the way. We finally got to have a meal at the Stanley pub. It’s quirky and beautiful and the meals are delicious!

We only stayed one night but found our room to be spacious and very comfortable. The bed was very comfortable and the big shower head was lovely. It was great having a separate couch to watch TV from and the fridge and other things provided in the kitchen were more than adequate for our needs. Bowls, plates, cups glasses and a big sink to wash up in. The motel is 2km out of town meaning that it is away from the hustle and bustle of the shops and entertainment venues so nice and quiet. We will definately stay again.

The sunset view was lovely from the room and it was quiet. The room was nicely furnished and the bed conformtable. It was a very cold night and there were spare blankets provided and the air conditioning could be turned up or down as needed.

The small bathroom fit out was disappointing, especially as I paid for an upgrade. As it was a Wednesday night takeaway options for dinner were limited - it would have been nice to have some take away menus in the room (to order ahead) as menus couldn't be found online for the takeaway options available.

Lovely easy check in, a casual stroll from town. Very friendly and an exceptionally clean motel room. Very comfortable bed and a fantastic large shower head. I also love that for the price, there was a mini bar available, which was very convenient, and an espresso pod machine as well as a good selection of tea and complimentary biscuits - perfect for an early morning pick me up. The appliances were very clean and the large TV had a great selection.

Not something that I feel overly strongly about, but if I had a choice I would chose a separate shampoo and conditioner in the shower, as opposed to a body wash and shampoo + conditioner 2 in 1. This definitely did not hinder my overnight stay though, haha.

This location was a little out of the town centre. Very quiet. Generous off street parking and country setting. Loved the updates from previous visit a number of years ago. Liked the big room and the separate kitchen area with sink. For a motel room this is excellent and not always available. Tapware meant you could fill the kettle with ease and wash dishes with equipment provided.

Would have liked a balcony that people didn't walk past to get to their rooms.

Kitchen facilities in the room were good, we made our own breakfast. Noticed an EV charger, great for the future. Quiet and comfortable. small table and chairs on the verandah for relaxing breakfast external to the room. The hosts are friendly and facilitating, good local knowledge,

being really pickey ... a couple of more coat hangers, maybe trouser hanger.
