Heidi and Jim were very welcoming. Parking is onsite. The pool area was fantastic and it was lovely to swim and cool down on the hot days. As well as the yummy breakfasts, cake and coffee were on offer in the afternoon and port and chocolate in the evening. The location is excellent - walking distance to many attractions including the town centre, the gaol and the museum.

The bed in the room we booked was not to our liking but this didnt detract from our stay. We would definitely return and look forward to spending time in one of the two rooms that look out to the pool area.

An amazing experience. The owner Heidi was a wonderful host. The deluxe rooms with a pool view that we had were excellent. They were comfortable, fully equipped, quiet and relaxing, with a patio that looked out on the pool and a nice area. The pool looked good, but it was too cold (still early spring) to use. The breakfast was equally excellent. The location in the center of Beechworth was ideal. There was very convenient safe off-street covered parking. The common lounge area was comfortable with coffee/tea facilities. A great find.

Nothing negative. It was one of the best properties that my friend and I have ever stayed at.

So relaxing and friendly and we felt like we were in Italy. Such a lovely break.

The ambience, the pool and outdoor area, and most of all the hosts Heidi and Jim made our stay so special. Breakfast was fabulous and served in such style you felt so special. Well done ! We haven’t experienced anything quite like this in the country. Amazing. If you want a truly relaxing experience in the country this is for you. Thank you. Also so many returning customers we met says it all.

There was a good number of options for breakfast, the size was generous and it was delicious. There are a few little extra special touches like port and chocolates available in the evenings, and afternoon tea with cake if you would like some. the hosts were very flexible and even let us take some cake in a takeaway across the road to the beer festival we were at for the day.

I can't think of a single bad thing to say about our stay.

The breakfast was delightful. Could not have got any better at any cafe in area. The room was spacious and the hosts had thought of everything. The bed was like sleeping on clouds and our spa in bathroom was beautiful. The gardens were magnificent and our room was made up as we were at breakfast before we even blinked. Delightful hosts, beautiful town and a spectacular bed and breakfast.

We loved everything

From our first meeting with our host Jim through to our departure, our stay was great. Both of our host Heidi and Jim made us feel very welcome, similar or akin of being a close friend. They also provided us with relevant information in regards to Beechworth and surrounds, especially as this was our first trip to Beechworth. I would definetly recommend tge Freeman on Ford to any of our friends and hopefully we will return.

Many thanks to Jim and Heidi for providing such a cozy and comfy place for long-journey travellers like us. Special gratitudes must be paid to Jim for his introduction in details on the historic stories of and delicious restaurants in this small town. On the very first evening of arrival, we tasted the best wine we have ever had throughout our 21-day holiday in Australia in a restaurant recommended by Jim. This B&B is located in the center of Beechworth, convenient in all aspects, just 150m away from the well-known Beechworth Bakery. Breakfast is wonderful, and service is perfect. Should we have chance to re-visit Beechworth, we will definitely stay again in Freeman on Ford.

We should have stayed two more nights.

The B&B was situated right in the heart of Beechworth which was ideal for everything we wanted to do. The breakfast was great. The variety of choice on the menu was excellent and the host (Heidi) couldn't have done more to make our stay more enjoyable.

There was nothing about our stay at Freeman On Ford that could have been improved, Heidi and Jim have thought of everything to make it the perfect B&B in one of the prettiest towns in Victoria.

Position was great right in town. Lovely hosts. Nothing was too much trouble. Excellent breakfast and afternoon teas. Lovely lounge rooms to relax in and enjoy with the wood fire in one room.

We were in the Petite room which though lovely and comfortable was external to the main house which was not ideal given the weather. Windows being all frosted glass was very surprising. We would choose a room in the house next time.

Absolutely beautiful property which has been lovingly and meticulously renovated and decorated to period style, with mod cons cleverly integrated. Heidi is an exceptional hostess who goes the extra mile. She is very knowledgeable and friendly. Location was perfect, with so much in walkable range. The rooms were lovely and the wonderful breakfasts in the fabulously appointed dining room were a highlight, as was the warm and cosy parlour, complete with port and chocolates to enjoy after returning from dinner. There was so much to do and visit that we didn’t get to enjoy the included afternoon tea - maybe next time 😊 It was a little bit of a lash out to stay, but Oh, SO worth it 💕
