I stayed in the Ibis room which was plenty big enough, air conditioning, electric blankets and tea/coffee making facilities. I asked if they could have a packed breakfast for me as I was looking to head to Addo before breakfast would be served and this was organised for me the night before. Breakfasts are very nice and are cooked quickly for you. Addo Spar is not far away and on route to National Park so the accomodation was ideally positioned.

The GPS (waze) was wrong, you need to go past the road turnoff and then look for the gate. The roadworks don't help here and are not the fault of the hosts, but worth noting. I had a dinner the first night after arriving a little late and the menu was small but sounded appetising. The ostrich steak I pre-ordered took a while to be served and then was more well done than medium rare. This was home cooking at higher end restaurant prices but did not detract significantly from the experience overall.

Gerald's Gift is a fantastic place to stay in the area, within an easy drive of the Addo Elephant National Park. We loved the lovely big room and comfy bed, the attached bathroom and the beautiful gardens surrounding the whole estate. Dinner was delicious, and the wine pours SUPER generous! Breakfast was absolutely delicious and filling. If we're in the area again, we will definitely choose this accommodation. Emma gave us great advice on driving into the north gate of Nat Park and out the south one, which resulted in a beautiful drive, and less time backtracking. Thank you.

Not a thing. A perfect stay. There were some roadworks nearby, but these had no significant impact on our experience other than slowing us down a few minutes.

A haven with beautiful gardens and lovely spacious rooms. Loved the little table and chairs outside in the lovely gardens which are lit at night. Loved the claw-foot slipper bath in the bedroom and the enormous bed. Also a lovely beautifully presented 'eatery' which, in the starlit evening, was very intimate but family friendly at the same time - with superb service from our super friendly but very professional waiter. Finally, a beautifully furnished guest lounge offering comfy sofas, piano, and free sherry! Wish we could have stayed longer.

Nothing we didn't love about this place!

We had an amazing stay at Gerald's Gift Guest House! The peaceful and quiet atmosphere, combined with the stunning garden, made it truly special. The breakfast and dinner were delicious, clearly made with love by the wonderful staff. Everyone was incredibly friendly, and Emma went above and beyond to help us organize a safari day trip. We would 100% recommend staying here! :-)

The facilities may not be ultra-modern, but they perfectly complement the charm and atmosphere of the place.

Beautiful garden where you immediately feel peaceful and relaxed, with a great host and last but not least, a great breakfast. They even have a tennis court, unfortunately we didn't had the time to make use of it

Nothing! Just make sure you take the main road, we didn't pay attention and ended up on a side gravel road with some large potholes that were fully under water... :-)

The area is beautiful and the gardens well cared for. The room was comfortable and offered everything we needed. Linen was clean and good quality and the bed was comfortable.

Their eatery has very limited options. In the evening they offer a three course meal, which was way more than what we wanted. Breakfast is also quite big and pretty expensive for someone like me who wanted one egg on toast. The food was very good all the same.

Gerald's Gift is a beautiful property close to the Addo Elephant National park. The staff are wonderful and the facilities on the property were great (esp. the pool and tennis court). I like the size of the room and bathroom and the breakfast was awesome. The property also had a small restaurant which served delicious food. The location of the restaurant also made it super convenient when we didn't feel like leaving the property for dinner in the evening.

A small fridge in the room would have been great to keep drinks and snacks cool in the hot weather.

Beautiful surrounds and gardens. A real hidden gem in Addo . The service and hospitality were exceptional. As a female solo traveller I was very comfortable and felt safe. Rooms are very spacious. Dining facility on property is a real bonus and breakfast was very sufficient. I would highly recommend this property and possibly a 2 night stay over. Close and easy access to the Addo Elephant Park for a day trip. Thanks Emma and will most definitely be seeing you when back in the area.

Everything!was super nice..the guest hause is wonderfu, rooms are clean and the bed super comfortable! Nice to have in the room always a bottle of water and coffee/tea . The dining area for breakfast, inside and outside, is lovely. Breakfast service super nice, you can have yogurt fruits homemade muffins juice toast and amazing omelette. Great staff. Only side note,sometimes Internet in the room is not working..in the main areas is perfect!

We visited Gerald's Gift House for a long weekend to do some safaris. We had a wonderful stay with Emma and her family. They were very friendly and helped us with all our questions and organized the safari tours for us. The whole property is beautiful. We especially loved the beautiful large garden and lemon fields. The whole staff team was super lovely. Breakfast was great and our highlight was dinner at the Eatery Restaurant. We haven't eaten that well in a long time. Thank you to the lovely chef!

If we have to make a suggestion for improvement, it would be a freshup of the rooms, as at least ours is getting a bit long in the tooth. Maybe with lighter furniture the room could look a bit more friendly. But overall it was a WONDERFUL stay.
