The property is located on a rural farm surrounded by citrus trees and ponds. We saw plenty of wildlife, including insects birds asian naked geckos and monkeys. At night the area comes alive with the beat of the African night. (Keep the doors and windows closed) The owners were very kind and generous helping us out with our flat tyre repair and directions. The breakfast is amazing, with lots of different options fresh fruits bacon sausage eggs and toast. A must see is a Indian tree with Tarzan vines to swing on in the car park

It’s very hard to criticise people who are very helpful, but the only problem we had was the shower taps not delivering a consistent temperature. Outside the property is a new road being built for the fruit farmers, expect some delays. We experienced some load shedding, which brings the country down and is a political threat from the ANC

We felt very comfortable. The garden is beautiful and invites you to linger. Unfortunately we didn't have enough time for this. On our first morning we left very early for Addo and were given breakfast boxes. These completely exceeded our expectations and we really enjoyed our Breakfast in the Picknick Area of the Park. The breakfast being served in the accommodation was also great. Communication was very easy. The location to Addo is perfect. We would come back anytime.

The shower in our room was a bit outdated and the water pressure could have been better. But that's just a small thing and the positives outweigh the negatives.

Our stay was amazing. After a day of wildlife viewing in the Addo Elefant park it was a treat to arrive at Chicane. Greg, the host was exceptionally welcoming. We had a bit of a chat with him, refreshed a bit in our room and then could use the braai/BBQ facilities. It is a wonderful entertainment space with all the bells and whistles. The room was clean and parking secured. The location is great in Sunland near the national park, although some roadworks are a bit of a nuisance at the moment. (April 2025)

Our stay at Chicane B&B was simply amazing! From the warm welcome to the farewell, we felt completely at home. The hosts Julie & Greg are so friendly and helpful, they truly made us feel like friends! The breakfast was pretty good! Not only was it delicious, but also plentiful and prepared with so much love! The rooms are clean, very spacious and perfectly equipped. just perfect! The garden is beautiful and a lovely place to unwind – a little oasis of peace. Overall, a heartwarming experience, and we if we over come back to SA we will be back! Highly recommended!

Amazingly friendly hosts, went out of their way. They made us feel so welcome and joined us for a braai. The Lapa is the heart of the place, with indoor well equipped braai and kitchen. Beautiful garden and inviting lawns. Different birds observed around the outside pond. 20 min drive to Addo, makes it a good location.

Lots of security around the main property is alarming, but at the same time, probably required and ensured our safety. Nothing really to complain about.

The hosts of Chicane Bed and Breakfast are incredibly friendly and made the stay feel more like staying with friend’s or family. From welcoming us on arrival, giving us friendly chat at breakfast to inviting us to join their family for a drink in their stunning bar/pool area. We would certainly be recommending this to anyone wishing to visit the stunning Addo Elephant national park.

Greg and Julie are the perfect hosts , we had a short stay and it was lovely … okay the weather wasn’t very good … it was torrential rain at times , but we filled the day by going to the cheetah reserve and after an early dinner ( restaurants close early on Sundays ) , we set the outdoor fire going . Greg and Julie joined us and we had a very lovely couple of hours chatting and drinking wine . The rooms are very large in a lovely “homestead” style . Julie made gorgeous breakfasts with home grown fruits and nearly everything else locally produced . Superb !

Julie and her husband are super kind, making everything possible to make our stay enjoyable. Place is super quiet, breakfast is great. Best place to have a relaxing time, thanks again!

20 minutes drive from Addo Eephant Park and 10 min to closest restaurant. But worth it if you like quiet and beautiful places

Chicane Cottage is conveniently located 15 minutes from Addo Elephant. The cottage is well-equipped, well-decorated, and quiet, with a tramboline for children. Breakfast is plentiful and very good. But above all the owners are very kind, attentive and full of care. We loved our 3 night stay.

Stunning Bed and Breakfast with kindest owners! The rooms are specious, clean and very modern. The b&b has a well maintained garden and is very close to Addo Elephant Nationalpark. The breakfast was absolutely delicious and I would recommend anyone to stay here. Julie and Greg were not just very welcoming, they also helped with getting my car repaired. I would have not been able to continue my travels without their help, and I'm so grateful for everything they did for me! 10/10 - will definitely come back!
