The location in relation to the Addo entrance is excellent. The breakfasts were amazing and the kitchen staff very accommodating. The evening dinner we reserved for was fantastic. My very first time tasting roasted leg of Springbok Peecee, the chef did a brilliant presentation of the evening's menu before we started eating. I enjoyed the fact that, as a guest, I could enter her kitchen afterwards to compliment her and her team for the love we tasted in the meals that they prepared daily. Jenny, the manager, although extremely busy, was very helpful and friendly and took time off to personally say goodbye to us at the gate and wish us safe travels back to Cape Town. She is an extremely valuable leader of the team that manages the lodge and treats her team members with love and respect. Thank you for a wonderful experience.

I did not like the lack of good privacy in the outside shower, although it is a brilliant idea. My wife was very nervous that one could still see thru the spaces in the bamboo walls. Maybe another layer to close the gaps completely or change it. But I loved it and its spaciousness.

The hotel was nice, clean (the pool as well) and the bed was very comfortable. It’s located close to a national Park and easy to find. the rooms have outdoor showers and s indoor tub. The staff was very nice and the food excellent. They did send me a mail before I got there about allergies, special diets, food preferences or food I don’t like which I thought was very nice. I asked them for recommendations for activities and they recommended a five nice options.

Lovely authentic thatched roof room, big comfy bed. Big bath inside, outdoor covered power shower. Electric blankets. Kettle with tea and coffee in the room. Good Wi-Fi. Amazing evening meal , plenty of choice for breakfast. Honesty bar in restaurant area with wine, beer and soft drinks. Lovely lovely staff.

We were here early September nearing the end of winter. Our bedroom was quite chilly. There was a small oil filled radiator in the room but the heat just rises to the top of the amazing roof apex and disappears through the thatch. The heated electric blankets were necessary as the bed was nice and toastie. That said it was a very authentic experience and the room was otherwise fine.

We had a really lovely stay! The rooms are pristine clean, very well equipped, there is a bath and a lovely shower, big bed, and the rooms are quite big too! The breakfasts were delicious! And such an amazing choice! Dinners also, but be hungry because they are quite big! :D all and all we really enjoyed it, and the staff is just WONDERFUL and so accommodating :)

An outstanding property! Spendid very large bedroom of beautiful materials, all modern conveniences. Very helpful staff. Great garden/pool area to relax in. Easy safe parking, lots of room for everyone (IGNORE any comments that it's tight). Great location, 5 minutes from Addo's southern entrance & 10 minutes from the scenic estuary with its enormous sand-dunes. Excellent cooked breakfast. Very good value for money, truly a 4 star place. Highly recommended.

Very nice owner and people who work there. Great and authentic dinner (self made!). Great support of the staff for planning a route in Addo. Nice outdoor shower. Also the location is very nice, just a few mins by car to the south entrance. We went with our small daughter (12 months) and it was great and also very children friendly (we had a high chair and a baby bed). I can really recommend this accommodation!

We had such an amazing experience at Elephant's Footprint Lodge. The staff were so friendly and accomodating to our needs. The rooms are extremely spacious and I loved the rustic thatch roof and outdoor stone shower. The cosy lounge area is amazing with the fire and the food was exceptional! The location is fantastic for exploring the Addo region. I would highly recommend staying at the lodge.

We could hear the patrons adjacent to our room through the gaps in the roof structure. Just kids being excited in the mornings but it didn't bother us too much.

We loved everything about this hotel. The location was ideal, the staff extremely welcoming and the facilities exceeded our expectations. Our room was spacious, spotlessly clean and comfortable and we especially loved the outside rock shower. We took advantage of the dinner option on both nights and the food was home cooked, plentiful and absolutely delicious. We could not fault anything and would highly recommend this hotel. Thank you Wesley and all your team for giving us such a wonderful and memorable experience.

rooms beautifully decorated and clean, the gentleman at reception vas super friendly very very informative , you can see he has a passion for his work.

on Booking.com they advertised the room for R990 after driving all the way there when we got to the guesthouse, they told us its additional for a second person, so we got charged double, it was clearly stated one room with a queen bed for two people the room was called the honeymoon suite (how does one person go on honeymoon?)

Wesley is a super nice host. Breakfast and dinner were good. Main bed is really good. The outdoor shower is funny. It's super well located near south gate of Addo. They have a nice sunset spot just nearby.

It's a bit noisy if people in the room beside are speaking loud. And I was expecting a real bed for my second daughter not only a mattress. Those little issues were not annoying a lot and we enjoyed our stay.
