The welcome by Mike and Nita was very warm, the formalities were quickly handled and they showed us the room which was nice and quite big for the two of us. There were a few dogs and cats around which we love and they were very friendly so for us that was a bonus. Nita and Mike said we could just give them a shout should we need something but all was fine. The bed was big and comfortable, as it's a quite remote place it was very quite and we slept very well ! The breakfast was very nice and tasteful and we had a lovely chat with Nina about life, family and travelling.

As it was possible to self cater we baked pancakes for dinner, as it's all one big room we had to sleep in our self inflicted pancake smell afterwards.., we brought that upon ourselves but when you plan to cook yourself maybe a room with separate kitchen would have been nicer. Should have booked 2 nights ! ;-)

What an absolute pleasure to stay at Happy Lands Farmstay - the 3 days totally exceeded our expectations. The rooms with a small lounge area and lovely veranda looking onto their exquisite garden were so beautifully decorated and comfortable. One felt as if it was almost one's own family home/farm. Mike's breakfast was superb! Their pool area is also set in a beautiful part of the garden with lovely big trees and beautiful flower beds leading down to a dam and a trampoline, swings and climbing frame . Walking around the citrus groves was lovely and the most important part was the incredibly how kind, hospitable and friendly Nita and Mike were - nothing was too much trouble for them.It is a tranquil get-away I would more than highly recommend to anyone travelling I that area or to the Addo Elephant Park as it is totally unique.

The place is a little gem, hidden between citrus orchards. The owner are very welcoming and the accommodation is very clean, safe and well equipped. The garden is amazing green and kept very neat.

We stayed for 2 nights to visit Addo, it´s a 30min drive to the entrance gate. But the accommodation is good value for money and we would choose it again next time.

We liked everything! Lovely spacious rooms and bathrooms, a functioning mini kitchen, lovely setting amongst citrus trees and rose bushes. The facility is well laid out an maintained. The staff and owners were fabulous!

There was nothing at Happy Lands we did not like. The only small downside is the roadworks on certain public roads that resulted in slight delays.

The best thing about Happy Lands is the wonderful hospitality that Mike & Nita offer. They go above and beyond to make sure their guests are comfortable and have an enjoyable stay. It felt like we were just staying at an old friends house! Happy Lands itself is beautiful, with lovely manicured gardens, tasteful decor in the bedrooms and the separate chalets mean guests have a lot of privacy. Being on the citrus farm makes for a romantic wake-up each morning with the sound of birds and the sunrise forming over the orchards.

Thank you for an amazing stay! The hospitality was unmatched, the dogs were adorable, and such a nice little play area for our daughter! It felt like we were staying with family! We could even get a bedtime story book for our daughter from their cute little library. The grounds and rooms are so clean and absolutely beautiful! We will definitely be back.

Fabulous location, clean and beautifully appointed rooms, friendly and helpful staff. The playground was also fantastic. Rooms were spacious. Breakfast was excellent and a good value for money. A fabulous place to stay for the whole family!

Nita and Mike were very welcoming. Their home is lovely. We would certainly stay with them again. The room was perfect for our family of four. If was really handy to have a fridge. Our breakfast was super, I enjoyed chatting to Nita about her beloved dogs and family. The fresh lemon juice was a lovely touch.

Nothing, we loved it

Nita and Mike were the most wonderful hosts, like the grandparents you ever dreamt of - so full of warmth and love. Even though we stayed for just one night, we almost felt part of their family. We also loved their super nice dogs (and cats) and the marvellous, park-like property. We stayed in the immaculate Midknight cottage, which was not only comfortable and well-appointed but also rich in history. The farm is close to Addo Elephant Park and a number of restaurants, for which Nita and Mike provided helpful recommendations. Altogether a wonderful experience!

We had amazing stay at Happy Lands. The garden is beautiful, full of trees and flowers and a nice swimming pool. You drive to Addo Elephant Park (main gate) in 30 minutes. But most importantly: the owners Nita & Mike are sooo sweet! They put in so much love and passion in the B&B. They helped us with the gamedrive and made a delicious breakfast with juice from there own farm. Oh, and ofcourse the dogs!! who make sure you have a warm welcome and lots of cuddles! We are definitely coming back one day! Would recommend Happy Lands to everyone!
