The St Leonards Vineyard Cottages are truly a unique and unforgettable experience. We stayed in The Stables, an adorable cottage nestled on a working farm, in the middle of a vineyard. Sharon and Jason are incredible hosts who made our experience spectacular. From their wonderful (and spot on) recommendations to their incredible breakfast catering (including fresh eggs from their hens) to their ongoing care and check-ins, we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. We even got to pick fruits and vegetables from their garden, feed their hens, and make friends with their sheep. It was the perfect place to return to each evening and felt like our own little slice of heaven. This is definitely a place we will return to one day. ❤️

Owner/host Sharon welcomed us with a warm smile and showed us our room in The Stables, a tastefully decorated, clean, spacious one bedroom with great character, situated near vineyards, on her farm land where there are deer, sheep, chickens and many fruit trees, from which you can pick fruit. This is definitely a slice of paradise to which we would return in a heartbeat! PROS: comfortable, queen-sz. bed with nice linen; comfy sofa; dining rm. table, well-stocked kitchen with great provisions (eggs from their chickens, milk, OJ, jams, butter, bread, granola); garden/mountain/vineyard/animal views; serene & private yet close to Blenheim & its airport; host recommendations for restaurants/cafes, etc.; can purchase cheese platters, beverages & even dinners (!) to heat. Great shower with heated towel rack. All amenities listed were provided; there's a small pool and a hot tub, but we didn't have time to use them. Sharon is so sweet she even gave us recommendations for The Cook Islands. CONS: We didn't stay long enough!
Small annoyance: the water faucets in our bathroom sink were installed too close to the back of the sink, a plumbing error.

It all starts with the lovely, tucked away location just 5 mins from Blenheim town Center and right in the middle of all the vineyards. The cottages are beautifully built and maintained and are equipped with all the amenities one can think off. The place is very peaceful and perfect for “slowing down life”. We spent a lovely evening drinking wine on the deck and relaxing near the fire place in our cottage as the evening grew colder - was perfect! The animals on the property are a huge bonus, especially for animal lovers and kids - we spent a lot of time with them. The breakfast items provided by Sharon in the room were great. Overall we loved our stay and will surely recommend this place to anyone travelling to the Marlborough region and is looking for quaint luxury.

Winemakers cottage overlooks a vineyard and is quite private. The cottage is beautifully designed and fitted out. The bed was very comfortable and there is plenty of room for storage/suitcases etc. We used the fireplace which made it very homely and cosy. We were provided with breakfast provisions including fresh eggs, bread, jams, and it was nice to not have to rush out in the mornings and just enjoy the sunshine over the vines and the peace and quiet. The grounds are very attractive with fruit trees and some animals to feed.

We stayed in the Shearers’ Quarters over the Easter long weekend and had the most amazing time. Jason and Sharon are the perfect hosts - with so much knowledge about the local area as well as tips for your onward journey, which was much appreciated! The cottage itself was immaculate, incredibly comfortable and cosy and the perfect base to explore the local area and wineries - and the breakfast provisions (including fresh eggs from their chickens) were a lovely touch. You will not regret staying here - a truly magical place!

Aside from the accommodation itself, the suggested dine-in meals that can be ordered an delivered to the room were surprisingly good. It was not salty yet very flavourful. The hosts were thoughtful in every aspect - from the respect to nature (reflected in choice of products used, for example, to picking up some home grown walnuts for us to taste after we mentioned that we wanted to look at the walnut tree.

This is the most adorable property with the sweetest cottages located in the middle of vineyards on all sides. The location is perfect for wine tasting in the Marlborough region. The owners, Sharon and Jason, could not have been more accommodating. They provided all you need for a fresh breakfast. Their recommendations for dining in the area (as well as other locations on our route South) were spot on. The bed was so comfortable. And to top it off, feeding the alpaca and sheep each morning was a great way to start the morning laughing. We absolutely loved our stay!

The location is a beautiful, tranquil setting. Each separate cottage is quite private. We stayed in The Stables, which was a beautiful, peaceful setting, perfect for couples. The view of the sheep, chickens, deer, was very special. Treats for the animals were also provided! The cottage is tastefully decorated and all of the essentials are provided. The fresh breakfast food provided was wonderful: fresh eggs, delicious gluten free granola, fresh squeezed orange juice, butter, bread, croissants and I am sure I am forgetting things. The wood stove heated the cottage wonderfully. Out host provided excellent advice on dining, activities and even travel suggestions. Of all the places we stayed at on both the North and South Islands, this was by far our favourite.

St Leonards Vineyard Cottages is a beautiful property, located just on the edge of Blenheim, surrounded by vineyards and rolling hill vistas. The cottages are private, stylish, cosy and comfortable, enclaved by colourful cottage gardens and beautiful bird song. A pot belly fire warms the soul as does a glass of premium Marlborough wine. The animals are a delight. Sharon and Jason are lovely hosts, with great communication and by the end of our stay we felt like family. We highly recommend staying at St Leonards Cottages.

The cottages were well appointed, perfect location with beautiful views over the vineyards. Ample provisions and choices for breakfast were supplied. The gardens and surrounds were beautiful and superbly manicured. Our hosts, Jason and Sharon were super friendly and went out of their way to help us with information on restaurants and activities, nothing was too much trouble. We will definitely be coming back to St Leonards Cottages. Many many thanks for your wonderful hospitality.
