It does cater for people with dogs so as I am sensitive to smells I did find it got a bit stuffy with the windows and doors closed at night - but ai am SUPER sensitive to that type of thing, however it's worth being aware of if you have asthma or allergies.

Bit far from town, normally wouldn't have mattered but with the airshow cancelled, and I usually have no need for a rental car, Had to get around using taxi's. The last minute rental car hire for 2 days was way too expensive ($700). Loved having Sky network. Thanks for the lift to the airport, much appreciated.

Would have liked a daily newspaper, a breakfast, dinner. Too far from restaurants, cafés. The petrol station is good for meat pies but not every day.

Absolutely wonderful. Not often I give a 10. I am well travelled. My booking.com ratings are only showing 1/2 of the places I stay. I loved the quietness of this place alongside the facilities. It had everything in the kitchen that I needed. I stayed with my 11 year old, the room was exceptionally clean, nothing was a problem for the host. I even decided to have an impromptu extra night stay as it was comfortable. My bed was excellent, and the TV in the room was modern enough for Netflix which was excellent. The motel is in an excellent location. I highly rate this property over a hotel and I would definitely recommend.

It was in a good position away from the road noise, but near enough to get into town. The rooms offered us everything we required, it was nice to have equal sized bedrooms. The kitchen was equipped with everything we needed for comfortable stay.

The dining table was too big and made it difficult to watch the TV and because there was only one settee not enough comfortable seating for three people.

The unit was very roomy, clean, well equipped and very comfy. We had one bedroom with a double bed and a spacious lounge/dining area with another 3/4 bed. We got the usual coffee, tea etc - but also two little packets of yummy biscuits - much appreciated.

My only gripe was that there wasn't a bedside table next to the bed in the lounge - but it was easy enough to use a diningroom chair for this.

Sure Phoenix Motor Inn is easily one of the best motels I have ever stayed at in the whole country and I have traveled a fair amount and stayed at quite a lot both in the North Island and the South Island. It felt like a home away from home. The owners were very accommodating to me with my son and my wee dog. I can't fault this motel. Incredible water pressure in the shower, incredibly comfy bed.

The rooms were very spacious and super clean, the owners were lovely and very accommodating, pool is amazing for the kids, very family friendly, nice and quite. Would definitely stay here again.

Only issue is when you have a family and you all want a shower, it runs on a water cylinder. That's the only downside of it but you make it work.

Very nice room and clean 👌 😎 Very close to Supermarket and fuel station,there was everything we needed in the room. Good parking Staff were lovely We had a very relaxing weekend as it was our wedding anniversary 💕 Spa in our room was great and the pool .

TV in lounge could have been abit bigger

We had stayed here before so knew what to expect: It was spotlessly clean, well equipped, including good quality teas and coffees. Location was perfect for exploring local area. Although it was a long walk into the town. The owner was so helpful,offering use of her phone, when we needed to contact our airline.

Nothing we can think of.

We had a very late check in and were travelling with our dog - they were super accomodating for us. Messaging and calling us in advance to ensure everything was ready for our arrival. Super accomodating to travel and made it easy to stay with our dog, not a lot of places that make that easy.
