It is very calm, with a little ngahere area at the entrance. It’s very clean, lovely colours, easy access, lovely swimming pool area, laundry is easy access 24 hours. It has after hours private access which made it easy to come and go. The staff service was exceptionally good. I am Deaf with a cochlear implant,all my communication needs were met,I was helped with every little thing. I was upgraded for minimal cost when my room didn’t meet my needs and the new room was perfect. When I left I was helped with my bags after the staff member could see I was struggling and he was so pleasant,it made me smile.

The internal layout was confusing for me at first,finding my room was a little tricky but the signage is clear. I would have liked to have been able to buy natural sunscreen/ hand sanitizer there,without having to go to a chemist. I love swimming but because the pool is chlorine I couldn’t stay in for long. I realise it’s very expensive to have a salt water pool though. This may be a little out of your experience, the Montana room had a lost spirit there, which I guided to leave. Guests and staff may find the vibe of that room is more calm and pleasant now,or they may not notice any difference. You are welcome to contact me if you are curious about what that means at all.

Breakfast was a little expensive, slightly more than you would pay in a cafe, instead of 'muffins' as advertised it was just toast, but maybe that's the cost of convenience, we didn't have to go anywhere. The staff were always helpful and accommodating, they realized we were running late for checkin and rang to check on us which was great, and then they waited a little past the normal closing time for us to arrive. Decor is really nice.

Checkout is 10:30, the guy was already knocking on the door at 10:20 to see if we'd left yet. There was hair on the bathroom floor which definitely wasn't ours. Just a couple niggly little things, nothing serious.

Lorraine was great! She really looked after my special breakfast order every day. The room was spacious, as was the bathroom. I had plenty of room for my toiletries, and the private patio was a nice feature. I sunbathed by the pool one afternoon.

The lunch/dinner menu was not large enough, and after one unsatisfactory meal, Lorraine had to arrange a special meal for me. I ate dinner out after that. The room is big enough for a kitchenette. I was on foot, and more footpaths are needed in Blenheim around the hotel.

The room was spacious, clean and perfect for our stay. It was quiet, the bed was SUPER comfortable. Didn't use the shower but it looked great, big. Bathroom lighting was great! Loved the small under cupboard light that would switch on when walking into the bathroom.

Bit disappointing looking out at a conifer hedge so close to our outdoor seating. Also... REALLY annoying NOT having an iron & ironboard in the room. Sorry but it's a hassle getting one from the laundry.. We also missed having a small bottle of milk in the fridge (for the price of the room, we would have expected that). These are maybe small details.. But we noticed them.

Warm welcome and check out. Great location. Nice and quiet. Very comfortable bed and pillows. Good size with a desk and couple of chairs. Had a shower over the bath. Nice soft fluffy towels and 3 ply toilet paper! Tea/coffee in room. Great selection of magazines and books to read. Had a lovely evening meal at the Japanese restaurant in the complex, which also hada breakfast menu. An option of a bar meal also in the complex. Swimming pool available. Good bathroom heater.

Shower head sprayed water out the side, over the floor when I turned it on to adjust the temperature b4 hopping in. Probably needs adjusting. First place we've ever stayed where the fridge wasn't turned on and the milk not placed in the fridge! Little milk capsules we discovered in the morning, are left sitting out with the coffee and sugar. Not the best practise as felt it was too warm to use, and could possibly curdle with the sun coming in the window on warm days, right where it sits.

Riverside is very central to Blenheim. If it was not raining we would have walked to town. Taxi service was great to the vineyards on NY’sDay. The staff were fabulous and lovely. Showers are great too! SASS (Japanese) restaurant on site is fantastic and a good idea to book ahead. We also travelled to Picton which was a beautiful town. Our friends had a larger room with tv area which was great to share a wine with one evening.

Lovely clean roomy unit. Very quiet. Bathroom exceptional, and night lighting an added bonus. Air con was very quiet and efficient. Great blackout curtains allowed us to have a peaceful nights sleep. Felt a bit like home. Also thoroughly enjoyed our dinner at the restaurant. Parking exceptional. We regularly travel to Blenheim to see family, and lived in Sounds, and yet had no idea this little gem was there!!

Have slept in more comfortable beds. But that’s personal choice.

Best part was their Japanese Fusion restaurant. Parking was very convenient. A quiet stay. Clean.

No in room storage. No closet, just a funny metal eteger rack with shelves and a hook with 4 hangars. The view out glass door was unkempt landscape bushes with dead branches laying on gravel. About a 10 minute walk to commercial area. Limited counter space in bathroom with no storage.

Was not happy that I did not notice that the SHOWER was over the BATH - as recently had knee Surgery and did not feel safe in Bath standing or climbing in. I would have asked when booking had I known it was climb into shower Plus was slippery I also used a small pillow for knee when in bed - I thought I had taken it out of between sheets in morning - Could not find - Bed had been pulled up - but they also missed my RED pillow between sheets - Took a while to locate for the 2nd night.

Continental Breakfast was very handy

The staff especially Phillipa were really lovely, she thought of things ahead and organised my bill and payment without any issue. I found the bar staff so awesome they were not fazed by delivering bubbles to my room. Such a professional but still friendly hotel . Also I had the platter with my friend and it was good size, full of flavour and not hard to eat.

In my reservation it said I ordered a quiet room but I don’t think I did prefer anything unless it was already on my booking form from ages ago
