The building itself has a lot of character, and the restaurant is very traditional northern Spanish food. Location is just fab, very well communicated. Comfy bed and great thick, fluffy towels. Quietness feeling despite being in a very touristic area besides the football stadium.
I really missed a kettle in the room, it would have made a difference. There is no room service. Some details need an upgrade as the main decor vibe is traditional 80's, like the room's doors. They were quite thin and you could see the light and noises coming through.

Loved staying in this Parador, a converted watermill. It's located on the edge of a beautiful park with an aviary, playground and flower gardens. It is an easy walk to the promenade along the beach and some good restaurants. The Austrias Folk Museum was also in walking distance. The rooms were spacious with views overlooking the park. There was free parking at the hotel.
The throw rugs in the room needed to be thoroughly cleaned or replaced. I was surprised to find them in such poor condition given that it's a 4-star hotel.

Located adjacent to a large well maintained park this Parador is a pleasant place to stay. The staff were exceptional during our time there. The reception desk liaised with our bicycle rental company in Lisbon and made preparing the bikes for collection easy. They handed the bikes over to the courier service while we were out.
The hotel is a good 35-40 minutes walk from the city centre and for a good selection of bars and restaurants 20 minutes walking are necessary. Walking to the centre is certainly not something you would want to do more than once a day.

Parking out the front is a bonus and the rooms are spacious with nice linen.
The place is architecturally only mildly noteworthy. The garden is a bit average (no seating). Our room had a view but it also was not that great looking out onto a public duck pond with people walking by. Also not very keen on stepping over a bath to shower. Wouldn’t recommend this as a great Paradore there are definitely better ones in Spain.

The staff were very friendly. The location was perfect, being near the town and beach, but also the park. Breakfast was good. The hotel garden and bar were very relaxing and peaceful. The hotel is clean and tidy and comfortable. It has a traditional feel to it.
Initially our air conditioning was not working well, in unusually warm weather. However this was resolved.

Spacious comfortable room, nicely decorated, with big bathroom and a view over the leafy park next door. Staff very friendly and helpful. Very good value, and quality, dinner and breakfast. Free Parking right outside, within the parador grounds.
Tea/coffee making facilities would have been nice. Quite a long walk to the old town.

Breakfast was excellent. There was a good choice of cold meats & cheeses. There was ready prepared fresh fruits & yoghurt. Cooked eggs of your choice with bacon. Plentiful tea & coffee plus delicious fresh orange juice. Vast array of croissants and cakes. The staff were helpful and efficient.
The bar lacked atmosphere and was extremely quiet with my party being the only occupants on a couple of occasions.. But the staff were attentive. Car parking was restrictive with a few spaces out of use because of a dangerous overhanging tree. It was disappointing as parking could not be guaranteed prior to arrival which is always a bit worrying when you are in your own vehicle.

We are two cyclists on a ride from Cadiz to San Sebastian. Our needs are simple we seek a clean bed and a hot shower – the hotel provided both Reception was welcoming and helpful – we had some language go astray and reception helped find this We select the Parador chain for a touch of luxury and enjoy the lavish and expert restoration of historical buildings across Spain - in this location the gardens and open sea side air were most welcome - fresh air after central Spain and its heat Excellent in every way
I am not a fan of the new build Paradors - liked the location - less so the build

Good quality stay, pleasant breakfast, nicely located on a park and good parking. A walk to the city centre but a flat and pleasant stroll and it is in a nice area with the park to explore.
No tea or coffee making in the room seemed an oversight when other areas of comfort were well looked after.

The Parador is on the site of an old mill located in a large park near the beach. It was very peaceful and quiet. The room was spacious with a lovely bath and view of the park. We could have lunch and dinner which were very good
The breakfast was good but pricey. The coffee was poor.
