The place is beautiful and located in a quiet area not far from the center. Our room was clean and spacious and with all the amenities. Francesco and Mirella were wonderful! They made us feel at home and gave us recommendations every morning for places to visit, restaurants, where to park, etc And breakfast was great! Every day there was a variety of local specialities, fresh fruits and baked goods. They went out of their way to accommodate dietary needs, which I really appreciate. If we go back to Catania, we will be staying there again ☺️.

This place is a haven of comfort in a busy city. Mirella and her husband work incredibly hard to make guests feel at home and to ensure that their experience of Catania is a positive one. The rooms are well-equipped and the beds are good. The decor everywhere is vibrant and unique in style, bringing a warmth to the whole environment. The outside space is beautifully done, with many plants and fruit trees. Breakfast is outstanding with an exceptional variety of choice and everything very tasty. A kettle and fridge in each room were much appreciated. The taxi service offered from the property is a real boon. The surroundings are definitely urban and it is a 20/25 minute walk into the city, but you can ask for a lift or catch a bus if you don’t fancy going on foot. We very highly recommend La Foresteria as a great place to stay.

While the accommodation may be slightly removed from the city center(2km) Francesco's willingness to assist guests with transportation negates any inconvenience. Whether it's guiding guests to the best local markets or waiting at the bus stop to ensure a smooth return journey, their dedication knows no bounds. In summary, La Foresteria is more than just a place to stay; it's a sanctuary where guests are enveloped in Sicilian hospitality at its finest. Francesco and Mirela's genuine care and attention to detail elevate the experience to new heights, earning it a resounding recommendation of 10 out of 10.

It's so great to go on vacation and stay at one of the nicest B&B.. You feel right at your parents' place. Mirella and Francesco take care of you and consider every little detail. Breakfast is pretty colorful and very appetizing😋 They offer you great tips on places to visit so you can enjoy every moment of your stay until the last minute. The interior is gorgeous and designed with a lot of love. Definitely worth a return visit.❤️

It is a fair walk from the city centre, although our hosts were very good at offering lifts. There is also a lot of rubbish outside the B& B, which I completely understand is beyond the control of the owners, but does detract from the area.

Our stay in Catania had its bright spots. The place was notably clean, and the hosts, despite their limited English, put in effort to communicate through WhatsApp. The airport taxi driver, Maurizio, was a delightful and kind character who made our arrival enjoyable. Additionally, the breakfast served was a definite highlight. The property also boasted a beautiful garden that added a charming touch to our overall experience.

Unfortunately, there was no jacuzzi as anticipated, and the rooms proved to be more snug than they appeared in the pictures. Additionally, the location was a bit farther from the city center, requiring a willingness to walk if you wanted to explore the town.

Francesco and Mirella were the perfect hosts - nothing was too much trouble. They rustled up a delicious light supper on my first night, lent me a raincoat and offered to collect me because I hadn’t been well. Breakfast was excellent - a varied choice and delicious coffee. The room was comfortable and charmingly and quirkily decorated. In short, a wonderful stay.

Very green and atmospheric place. Nice owners. Good breakfast according to Italian standards, has fresh juice, fruits and good coffee.

There were many mosquitos in the area and some of them got inside the room. A bit away like 30 minutes walk from the center. But it’s always have free parking available nearby so for the drivers a great place.

When you open a gate to accommodation, you are in another world. Beautiful small garden, everything clean and originally decorated. The room was clean with great terrace. Hosts were extremely nice and helpful. Very good breakfasts. We also ordered Sicilian dinner in the accommodation and it was great. Lot of various food and very, very tasty. It was perfect! Our hosts also helped us with transportation to to city center, bus station and airport. I can really recommend this accommodation!!! Thank you both :-)

This is a beautiful property with charming art deco interiors. I booked it for the lovely garden as shown in the pictures. The host, Mirella was superb. Our arrival was delayed due to closure of the airport, Mirella kept in communication during this time. We had to leave early to go to Mt Etna and Mirella packed us a lovely breakfast for us to takeaway. Thank you.

Catania airport was closed when we were due to arrive and we had to make alternative journey to Sicily. I had written to booking.com in advance to let them know that we won’t make the first night of the accommodation and had asked for a refund. I have had no response to date (very poor!!) and calling on the phone has been without success either. Considering that we managed to switch flights and car hire from Catania to Palermo, I feel let down by booking.com that you have not responded to my email.
