Typical Parador set in a lovely historic building right in the centre of the town. Our room was spacious, we slept very well with the balcony door slightly open. Parking available either under the building or on an adjacent, gated plot. We chose the latter, the entrance was easier. This is a great place to stop for trips to the wineries of Rioja Alta in Haro, 20 minutes up the road.

The public area lighting is far too harsh for such a beautiful building. They could have used warm white led bulbs. We got very lost trying to find the hotel. And there are two Paradors in town so check which is yours.

Pretty much everything. The location was great, both in regards to the town and as a base for touring in the area. It’s a beautiful hotel, the room was spacious and comfortable, breakfast was excellent. Parking was convenient as well.

I would prefer more variety in the restaurant menu or that the menu change during the week, but that’s a minor quibble.

What a hotel, superbly located in the old town. whilst parking was chargeable it was good to have two options, both of which were secure. The interior of the hotel is simply magnificent and the bar prices were excellent. Rooms were large, clean and comfortable.

It was a challenge to get to the hotel as one of the one way roads was closed. other than that i thought the buffet breakfast was very expensive, good job there was plenty of options elsewhere.

Stunning property with lovely bedroom. Lounge area down stairs was a delight to relax in.

The room we had appeared to be over the kitchen area. There was noise until 1/2 past twelve at night and deliveries started at 6.30am. Unfortunately it disrupted our nights sleep. The staff were a little off and not what we would have expected from a hotel of this standard.

After a long walk it was blissful to have a beautiful room and a lovely hot shower and be right in the centre of town. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The hotel is absolutely beautiful inside which enriches the experience. I would recommend any Camino pilgrim to spoil themselves with a night at this beautiful hotel.

Wonderful location. The room was very comfortable and overlooking the plaza. The parador had lots of charm.

The room xas quite simple and not vey large. Unfortunately we did not eat in the restaurant since we were only offered a time of 21:30. Far too late for us. So we dined at the Michelin rated restaurant nearby

Being located in a delightful historic square shared with the Cathedral the location was delightful. The sympathetic adaptation of this historic building, retaining its character without ruining its charm, was a very satisfying experience. One to be recommended. Having a garage to park and being able to charge was another big tick in the satisfaction box. Other Hotels please note, this is becoming an important draw.

Not much. A small map showing how to access the Hotel to drivers would have helped a lot.

I don’t eat breakfast and struggled one of the two mornings to just get a coffee and was not allowed to sit in the breakfast room with the rest of my group

Breakfast and bar staff could have been friendlier. Dining room and reception staff were pleasant enough

The property is in a beautiful building across from the cathedral. The room and bathroom were excellent, just what we needed after a week or so on the Camino.

The noise from the hallways can be pretty loud with the stone walls/floors and old wooden doors.

Love the atmosphere of the historic Paradors and this is one of them, Lovely areas to relax in the evenings. Staff so attentive and helpful.

Sadly I feel that the bar menus in the Paradors are not good value for money and the quality on this visit was extremely disappointing.
