Costa Dorado is a hidden gem! Fabulous location and staff! I loved the gardens throughout the facility- it felt more like a B&B than a hotel. The included breakfast was excellent- the staff kept the breakfast open for us extra long as we arrived late the night before. The restaurant was also excellent- with a beautiful dining patio overlooking the sea. We also loved the town of Cala Gonone - there were a bunch of seaside restaurants along the waterfront just steps outside of the hotel. And the hotel staff gave us referrals to set up a boating day trip on the Gulf of Orosei - which was just spectacular!

Let's start with the staff! They were absolutely fabulous. Extremely accommodating and kind. Nothing g was to much trouble. I managed to lock our passports in their safe and couldn't get it unlocked, they actually broke the safe for me and didn't even make it feel like an inconvenience. The location is stunning! Easy walk to everything and absolutely beautiful setting right on the beach. The restaurant is next level. The breakfast I ckuded is absolutely delightful with so many fresh choices of fruit, pastors, egg station, cheese etc Dinners are absolutely amazing. The food is sensational. If you aren't staying at this hotel, you must book as it gets busy. The rooms were huge and comfortable and very clean. Each with outdoor furniture to enjoy their beautiful gardens. I would stay nowhere else in Cala Gonone. This hotel was absolutely 5 star! Thank you to the team for looking after us

room and view were very nice and exceptionally clean. The staff member that checked us in was very kind.

Besides the staff member that checked us in, the staff seemed stressed out. They told me that we could get coffee at 7 if we would have to miss breakfast because of having a boat excursion scheduled, but when we asked for the coffee the next morning, one of the breakfast staff was stressed out about this and let us know that this was an inconvenience. They also said that we could pay them a reduced rate for parking tickets the first night we arrived, but when we asked everyday after that, they were not available.

Beautiful garden with a seafront terrace for the restaurant- it’s certainly the nicest on the oceanfront and newly renovated rooms. Location is perfect to walk to the port each day and parking area is connected to the hotel (8euro per day) so you don’t have to move it. The staff was so kind and welcoming, helpful with any request. WiFi works great. We really enjoyed our stay and would happily return- there was nowhere else in town I wanted to be at!

Only small things to improve are the AC is so-so and the bathroom plumbing has a venting issue that created an odor most of our stay, though some days it would go away.

Perfectly located, stayed in a junior suite with great views of the ocean. Staff were welcoming and very hospitable, nothing was a problem and they would go the extra mile to meet any request. We had a fabulous stay, the breakfasts were great with the custom made omelettes a favourite. Molto Molto bene.

Amazing stay directly at the main promenade in Cala Gonone. We highly recommend to book in advance during high season, as this hotel has a great location and due to the fact that the town is small. From there, you can due great (boat) trips to famous Cala Luna etc., or explore different beaches close by by car. Breakfast was also nice, with a nice ocean view on their terrace. Parking lots are available close by. Rooms were clean and were fully equipped.

The hotel is located in front of the see which has a beautiful view, the room is very clean, all staff are friendly, breakfast and dinner are very delicious ….. highly recommend .

Only the car noise on the street is too loud.

Great location opposite a nice beach and between two other. Very close to restaurants, bars and all other amenities you want or need. Parking in a public car park right next door which was very handy. We booked a suite so had nice beach views, plenty of space and a good bathroom - very good aircon and comfortable bed. Nice restaurant onsite.

our room decor was rather dated and would hav3 been more comfortable with a sofa rather than old fashioned dining chairs - not good for relaxing. OK breakfast, but nothing special.

The location is great. Right across from the water. The staff was wonderful. The restaurant is pretty good, damn good by "in the hotel" standards. Room was comfortable and huge.

The bed was fine, in fact, great for Italy standards. I just wish Italians learned how to make comfortable mattresses -- but this is not something you can fault the hotel for. So, really, it is not even something bad that I can say about the hotel.

The staff is very friendly and nice, you can always get answers from them. The view is very good from second and third floor, you can enjoy the sea view and the sun while lying on a sun longer. The dinner is also worth trying especially the white wine.
