Great location close to the harbour and walking distance to bus station etc. Very welcoming staff who were friendly and accommodating, I arrived early and they let me check in at 11am which was appreciated. Rooftop is gorgeous, breakfast buffet was good quality. Decor a little dated, it’s not super modern or flashy but very homely and comfortable. I slept well and would happily recommend to others/stay again. They also have free beach towels to borrow

Balcony was minuscule - you certainly couldn’t fit two people out there, but did have a small washing line/pegs for dirty laundry which was appreciated.

We had a lovely stay in Hotel Sonne. The owners are so warm and helpful. The rooms are designed with attention to every detail: ample lighting, shelves/hangers/drawers for clothing, generous space for toiletries, comfortable bedding, and even a useful clothing line off the balcony. We were upgraded to a room with a partial sea view, which was an unexpected treat. The breakfast buffet offered so many options, all homemade by the wife. They’re served on the top level (4th floor) with windows all around. It’s a nice place to sit and enjoy the view in the evenings as well. There were also beach towels and a variety of gear (fins, masks, noodles,…) available in the lobby.

We had a fabulous week at Hotel Somme. Owners Selo and Alice, and all the staff, are delightful and extremely helpful. The room was very clean and comfortable, and the breakfast, taken in an airy room at the top of the hotel with wonderful views over the harbour and out to sea, was simply amazing - a fantastic spread catering for all tastes. The staff made a great effort to secure guest parking outside the hotel - no easy matter in narrow streets. Swimming towels provided by the hotel every day - a great idea. The location of the hotel is great - 2 minutes walk from the beach club/swimming platforms.

There was nothing we did not like.

Lovely little hotel, staff were friendly and helpful – the owner is incredibly welcoming and happy to help with anything you need. The room was comfortable and clean and the hotel provides beach towels and snorkelling equipment free of charge. The breakfast was great and the terrace has stunning sea views. It’s just a short walk to the beach club and the main town. Overall a fantastic stay, thank you!

Selo and Alice who own and manage Hotel Sonne do an absolutely fabulous job. They are what makes the place so special and welcoming and are willing to go beyond expectations to ensure guests have the best possible stay. One of the other highlights was a wonderful, spacious roof terrace with fantastic oceanviews, where breakast is served or is ideal to relax during the day. The rooms are small but well designed, very clean and well equipped. All the staff were extremely friendly. Everything had been thought of from information needed during a stay, to a downstairs bar with the best priced drinks in Kas. We can not recommend Hotel Sonne highly enough. Location is perfect; just 5 mins walk to the harbour, town centre or a beach club.

Absolutely nothing

We had a really pleasant stay in Sonne hotel. Staff were super friendly and special thanks to Selahattin abi :). Location is great you can walk everywhere within 5 mins. We also liked the breakfast a lot

Nothing about property but one thing to be considered that nearest beaches are private and you have to pay around 800 tl. Even if you go to the public beaches you will need to pay~ 450 tl for umbrella/sunbed.

Every detail was attended to - from providing beach towels for guests which were washed every night to guides for Kas and the area which were handed out on arrival to dedicated parking on the street. The breakfast was exceptional, freshly made and best of all the view from the terrace was worth a visit alone. Our room was on the top floor and looked out onto the town and mountain backdrop. This made waking up every morning an absolute treat. Lastly Hotel Sonne had the swiftest cleaning service who would magically have your room in perfect condition before you've returned from breakfast every day.

On account of the buildings central location and being on the top floor, our room on the smaller side so we recommend keeping that in mind if travelling with multiple suitcases. It was not an issue for us however and we will definitely be returning.

The staff were all more than helpful and absolutely delightful. The breakfast was magnificent, the from exceptionally clean and comfortable and we had a lovely ocean view. The location was quiet but extremely close to town Center. Couldn’t have been happier with our choice!

If you are looking for the perfect location then this is the place for you. Right near the beautiful old town with lots of amazing restaurants (most with gorgeous views of the mountains and the sea) and fabulous stores. The harbour is right there, so quick and easy to catch boats to the islands and the day boat trips. The windows are sound proof which makes for an easy nights rest. You can also start your day with the most amazing view while you have your breakfast at the breakfast room. Rooms are very clean and comfortable. The owner went out of his way to make sure I had everything I needed and gave wonderful recommendations on which boats to pick for the day trips etc. You won't be disappointed with your stay at Hotel Sonne with their gorgeous mountain views and great hospitality.

Even though the breakfast had a vast selection which was freshly made everyday, would have loved to have had more variations of eggs other than a boiled egg and maybe some croissants. Just a suggestion.

I liked everything. I appreciated hospitality and friendly, welcoming attitude. The hotel was exceptionally clean. Breakfast was amazing. The view from the terrace (and breakfast, AND my room: I do love a mountain view!) was unparalleled. The street was quiet. 10/10
