Place was incredible. Beautiful views from our giant room. Great pool. Amazing location. Taxco is amazing and you really get the full experience here. The place straddles the hills and you have impressive views and can exit from the top. Couldn't be happier with the stay. And the breakfast buffet was absolutely amazing. Rarely do I pay for that but omg it was SO worth it.

No ac, could get hot in the summer but the place is well designed and actually had a fan so it was no problem at all.

Great location. Super clean. Beautiful property. Comfortable bed for Mexico, although I had to sleep in the middle of the king bed for the best spot. I asked to look at a couple other rooms, and those beds seemed less than desirable. So I suggest getting a king. The other rooms I looked at were on lower floors, and had a musty smell. So get one on the 2nd or 3rd floor. The issue with a floor higher up might be the heat. Bring extension cords so you can place the fan directly in front of the bed or you will be too hot to sleep. I woke up all night because it was too stuffy, as I did not feel comfortable keeping balcony doors open as a solo traveler. Or in case there were mosquitos. There weren't many people at the hotel because May is slower season. Definitely bring swimmers earplugs to block out noise of fan and typical mexico noises!

Sheets were microfiber which create heat. I know cotton sheets are scarce in mexico, but 4 star hotels should have them. I woke up all night sweating!

I stayed for 1 night at Posada San Javier with my 17yo twins. We all loved the place: The colonial building, the beautiful peacocks walking around the gardens, the roof top restaurant and the amazing views, and the beds were very comfortable. There was a swimming pool that my sons wanted to use but it was cold (January 2025) and we hadn't brought bathers. My sons asked why we didn't stay longer in Taxco! (And I thought they wouldn't like a small town).

They gave us an excellent room. We could see the cathedral view outside of our room, which is our private space. So the view was all ours!

Only thing you have to be careful about is their complementary breakfast. You have to stick to their continental breakfast. Otherwise you will be charged a lot. We made a mistake, but the stuff was understanding.

This is a lovely old inn situated on beautiful, well-manicured grounds in a prime location near everything Taxco has to offer. There was free parking and the property felt very safe and secure. Our room was very spacious and cool, and offered bottled water and plenty of hot water in the shower. The grounds included a large, sparkling pool with comfortable seating areas, surrounded by tropical gardens, lawn areas, and great interior courtyard views in all directions. A pair of peafowl strolled the property, adding to the ambience. The restaurants were up 4 flights of stairs and both had exceptional panoramic views. Breakfast was meager and felt very cheap compared with similar ones we had. It consisted of coffee or tea, dry bread with a single pat of butter, tiny fruit plate OR juice. The waitstaff was mostly good (Luis was excellent.) We had 2 evening meals; one was very good and the other mildly disappointing.

We got the sense the owners/management had “quietly quit.” Front desk staff and the bell boy were unsmiling, poorly trained and/or indifferent to guests, as were a few restaurant personnel. Hospitality was lacking overall. It also seemed as if a lot of time had passed since the accommodation had been assessed for maintenance. Minor repairs had been overlooked, curtain and furniture were soiled, and the general appearance of the room was tired. Time for new owners/management to restore some glory to this tarnished gem.

My hotel room was a dream - The large balcony doors opening up to the most beautiful view, the expansive balcony space to enjoy the crisp mountain air. The bed was so comfy and being able to sleep with the doors open at night was fantastic. The location is perfect - and the restaurant on the rooftop provided a wonderful space to spend my mornings reading. Access to the pool and the grounds was a huge perk as the days were very hot. Everyone there was so friendly, except for the peacock. She was not interested in conversing with me ;)

The wifi in my room wasn't great - I wasn't able to connect to video calls and internet was very slow. But internet isn't great anywhere in town so not necessarily the hotels fault. But it forced me into stillness and rest which was very much needed to connect to the quiet of the nature and cute mountain town.

The location was very convenient, Hotel has a lot of rooms many open spaces to rest , take a coffee o read a book, they have restaurant and the prices were reasonable

Maybe is something related to the season when we travel but we experience in the room many mosquitos , the hotel staff took care of them but we were not relocated even if we request.

Great location in walking g distance to the center of town. The garden and the pool were lovely

The bathroom of the room we were in needs some repairs. The button on the water tank was not working properly, and we couldn't stop the water running from the shower. The food at the restaurant could be much better. The complementary breakfast is just sad... 2 toasts and jam. There is a buffet for breakfast but that's at extra cost. We also booked a room with a terrace but ours didn't have a terrace.

Very nice hotel complex in the middle of the town with swimming pool. Even though it was big enough, it did not feel oppressive, and the building is not just one big block and rather a labyrinth of wings and old buildings which makes it charm. Parking was no problem despite of the steep hills, the valet will help you if needed. Breakfast is served on the rooftop with an excellent view over the town.

There was some noise during the night like from a party or a night club, but I didn't investigate further as I was too tired so I slept anyway. Cannot tell if this was a one-time issue as we stayed only one night.

Good location with parking. LOts of charm. Parking available.

Rules for guests at the pool are not enforced, thus loud music and people drinking till late. Made it hard to sleep. I would stay again. it could have been an off night.
