The staff were all friendly and helpful and informative. The room was a good size we were staying for one night . We paid for breakfast this was very good value. Continental had a good selection. Hot breakfast cooked to order we had an English breakfast with excellent bacon and sausage . Also fresh porridge was made for Kevin which he said was made perfect. The lady serving in here was kept very busy and she was very friendly.

There was a wedding disco in the hotel. As we went to our room.the music was very loud as the evening wore on the music did lessen around 11.30 and it finished just after midnight. We felt we should have been told about the music that's all. We have had a party here in the past so I know it's hard to keep the sound down .

Very good Hotel, need upgrade decorating in Bedroom and Bathroom. Great Breakfast without a doubt. Staffs very helpful and friendly with respect.

Bath too high get over with Shower, would idea to have walk in Shower, it would be much easier. Pillows far too soft, hardly slept within and it makes neck more stiff. Needs a good Pillows, would make the difference have a good night sleep. Mattress need update, could feel the springs. Need more firm mattress.

Hotel as a whole was clean and tidy, our room was very clean and tidy. Facilities was good as well.

We were above some form of party event or late night pub disco which went past midnight which did disturb us on the 2nd night. Sadly there was no ability to get change for the pool table within the hotel, maybe a small amount of 50ps should be kept aside for those wanting to use some of your entertainment facilities.

The staff are very friendly and accommodating. It's an old hotel with some quirks which we liked anyway. The beds are comfortable, with loads of natural light in the room. The breakfast was fantastic, they make it fresh for you there and then, no buffet here, which was brilliant. Good central location with lovely park nearby and lovely local museum.

The fan in the bathroom stays on for 40 minutes after you leave. A pain at night.

My companion had broken her shoulder and as a result we were immediately upgraded to a suite. The room was comfortably appointed and I found the bed comfortable. The breakfast was superb and the evening meals were also good. We had a family party for nine on the Friday evening and we all enjoyed the meal and had excellent service.

My partner could not find comfort in the bed.

The Room was Clean tidy and well equipped, the bed was comfortable, it was let down by the windows only being limited to open. Breakfast was good, the dining facilities for breakfast were ample and enabled a good conversation without being overly loud.

The Sash Window catch was not able to be secured thus leading to a very warm room temperature and an inability to vent the room properly.

Excellent shower. Good size room with coffee,,tea, hot chocolate, biscuits. Excellent cooked breakfast and handy that started serving at 06:30. Nice roomy bar with good quality meals at reasonable price. Plenty of car parking space

Bed mattress probably towards the end of its life

Breakfast was excellent, the bed was comfortable and the staff were friendly and efficient. It was our second visit to the hotel and was our venue of choice for the family meal. The meal was excellent and enjoyed by all the family. The hotel is central for the family and there is ample parking.

The service for the family meal was slow due to the barman having to serve the meal and take the order without being able to leave the till.

The cleaners & breakfast staff were friendly & warm. The front desk staff were adequate but I didn't feel a great vibe especially when I first arrived. Yeah, they know their job, but do they really value the people who come & stay at their hotel?

All was okay. I slept really well.
