I can honestly say this was the most incredible hotel experience I’ve ever had and I’ve stayed in a lot of hotels around the world. The level of care and attention at Mandarin Oriental Guangzhou is absolutely unmatched. From the moment I arrived, the staff went above and beyond to make me feel looked after. I want to give special thanks to Younus and Chase from concierge, who were truly outstanding. They not only mapped out and translated my routes so I had no issues getting around in taxis, but even arranged a suitcase delivery straight to the hotel for me when I realised I had overpacked all within an hour, without me ever needing to leave the hotel! They also kindly assisted me with a communication issue I was having with a store in China, and were patient, friendly, and genuinely committed to finding a solution. Reception was incredible. After a long flight from London, I was exhausted and hungry, and they allowed me to check in early so I could rest and order room service right away. It made such a difference. The kitchen staff also went out of their way to prepare vegan meals for me, which I truly appreciated. My room was immaculate, with a stunning view, and was refreshed multiple times a day it always felt perfect whenever I returned. Every detail of my stay exceeded expectations. The warmth, professionalism, and genuine care from every member of staff made this an unforgettable experience. I will be recommending Mandarin Oriental Guangzhou to everyone I know, and I absolutely cannot wait to return. Exceptional in every way. Thank you all.

The room was spacious.. the staff was super professional and supportive.. smooth check in - check out process thanks to Mr.Eaton pan ,the concierge helped us plan our short visit , the facility like the gym and spa are so nice ,loved the breakfast and as we are Muslim the chef asks us if we required certain dishes … and it has one of the best malls I’ve visited in guangzhou

The location is convenient for shopping and food choice. The hotel interior design is elegant and maintained in a great condition. Particularly enjoyed the nice smell of place, given the city in wet and humid season. Staff are all well prepared, ready for guests and offering help, they have treated me so well, thank you.

Might because I still suffered from long haul flight and jet lag, I wake up in early morning and felt cold with the air condition, so I have to adjusted a couple of times to find a comfortable temperature.

Perfect location. Very spacey room with quality facilities. Bed is super comfy. Excellent service especially the concierge.

Breakfast was excellent! after two weeks in China staying in many 5 stars hotel this breakfast was superior by far. Staff attentive and everyone knows English even the room cleaners which is amazing in China. everyone so nice and looking to help. TV with English speaking channels including movies! this is also big in China...

Decor looks old, better to renovate to keep up with other 5 stars hotels - if decor was modern this hotel was the best in Guangzhou.

Mandarin Oriental always meets their standard and MO in GZ is a gem. Excellent staff, wonderful location, lovely bedding and great Chinese restaurant. The housekeeping lady was amazing. She put all my makeup and my pile of work documents in order. She always left me a glass wipe for my glasses. A very warm and caring way as MO always offers.

The only thing that caused a bit of frustration was that the staff at the car park kept asking us to park our car to the bushes. There is no grids nor lines shown.

club level not worth it, does not compare well, would not waste money on this in the future., club has limited hours, limited options for food/drink. No seating in lobby may be inconvenient for some.

MO is always good and the GZ location is a staple that we keep coming back to. It's a little bit more expensive than other hotels but it is totally worth it.

This is not a new hotel and it shows. That being said, the staff is doing an excellent job at keeping it clean and tidy. Repairs are done at a high standard and compared to other hotels in the area the age is not as much of an issue here.
