1. The concierge at level 1 are friendly and helpful. They helped to negotiate down an unscrupulous taxi who demanded USD70 fare from airport for a basic taxi ride 2. Good location.

1. Breakfast is fair value but waiters are inattentive and slow in removing finished plates and replenishing buffet. 2. Bed is too soft. Slightest movement by one partner is transferred to the other. 3. No wall electrical socket near both bedsides for phone charging. 4. Microwave oven placed too high for shorter guests. 5. No shower cap, no cotton buds, no toothbrush 6. The aircon outlet is above the bed and blows at the sleeping guest. Even in fan mode the air is very cold for sleeping.

Size of the room is good and clean. Location is good as it is close to metro. There are cutleries in the kitchen and a huge fridge. Breakfast is ok.

There is no proper instruction on the washing machine in our room. It took 2 hours to wash only. Another 40 minutes to spin. The wash, rinse and spin cycle are not combined together but set individually. It took too long to wash one load.

Nice location in Tianhe next to a big park, close to many shopping malls, various restaurants and starbucks, 7mn walk from Tiyu Xilu metro station line 3 going directly to Baiyun airport, 2 stops also from Guangzhou east railway station (10mn walk). The hotel appart is beautiful and clean, staff very friendly and helpfull, the reception is at 15th floor. As they provided a free shuttle bus going to Canton Fair they made a show for each departure and arrival. They created a great atmosphere. Breakfast is very good with a lot of choice for european taste as well as chinese taste. It's our second time stay but we will definitely come back during our next stay in Guangzhou.

The service apartment offers a very comfortable and spacious living space for us to rest and recouperate during our stay. It is clean, offers a lot of storage space. The morning breakfast is wonderful as well. But most importantly, the people who works at the property is very friendly and helpful, always greeted us with smile. Special appreciation to the cleaning lady on the 20th floor and the concierge at ground floor including Dick, Chris and Steven who had been a group of helpful people who are very polite, accommodative and genuine. We very much appreciate every single extra step that they take to help us throughout our stay. They added extra warmth and brightness to our holiday.

Would be nice if windows (outside) is cleaned so we can have a clearer view of the city.

We have stayed in Oakwood premier before for Canton fair and we like what it offers. Room was clean, breakfast was good, it was not too busy as other hotels get during this period.

In general our main problem earlier was when we tried to order transportation to go somewhere earlier. Consierge service always find some unexperienced and super expensive transportation. Now we do not do that anymore just get a normal taxi on the street and we get to our destination cheaper and much faster. And we do pay the service fee and l do not think that is the service we pay for. The price went up considerably since our last stay 5 years ago and all other stayed the same. We stayed in the hotel for 10 days and none of our toilet supplies that were finished were not replaced.

1. Location - Really good as there are food places and a shopping mall across the street. Convenient especially when you have children as you do not need to travel far just to get food. There’s a convenience store opposite the hotel and the fruit store closest to the hotel sells good fruits with a very reasonable price. Some quaint looking shops nearby (left of the hotel’s entrance) and a fresh food market available if you are interested in exploring the local people’s life. 2. Accomodation - Everything is fine and they do provide quite a good range of kitchen equipments to have your food warmed up or a fruits party 😂. However, I think the rooms are quite dim and I’ll prefer if the lighting in living area is brighter. Wifi is weak and a second time visiting China after 18 years, didn’t know that hotel wifi cannot access to Facebook, Instagram, google etc type of apps. Perhaps it will be good if the hotel will provide a simple liner to advise their hotel guests. 3. Cleanliness - Pretty decent with clean sheets and towels. But I just find that the bathroom (with bathtub) has a weird, unpleasant smell. Other than that, simple amenities are there. Good if the hotel provide another hair dryer in the other room as well. Cannot be expecting 5 pax to share a hair dryer. 4. Staff service - Not very customer oriented staff on the first day of my arrival. The staff was speaking quite fast when explaining the charges and when I asked her to repeat in English, thinking that she would probably slow down and it would be easier to understand - it didn’t help at all and I needed up confused again 😂. I didn’t realise that using my physical card to pay will avoid incurring the overseas transactional charge and when I switched to paying using my physical card, the initial deposit has to take a few days to be refunded into my card.

Apart from the above mentioned, the gym perhaps need to have some maintenance as some of the equipment is a little worn out. Not sure if the leg press is working as I was using 50kg for my workout when I usually use only 20kg back at home 😂. Was there quite early in the morning and there was no staff there. So couldn’t get help to switch over the language as it’s mainly Chinese display on their machinery.

Location was great - across the street from a number of eateries and restaurants. Close to major shopping malls in Tian He district. Also within walking distance to Lie De which has been recently redeveloped. About 10 minute taxi from Guangzhou East Station if you need to catch a high speed rail train interstate or Hong Kong.

Would have felt nicer if the living area was carpeted. For some reason they extended the wall next to the window to out the TV there, but this also meant that it covered half the window so there wasn't as much sunlight coming into the room.

Huge rooms with great facilities such as a kitchen with a stove and oven for cooking etc. Also washing machine so you could do your laundry especially if on a long trip. Really beautiful city views, nice walking distance to a lot of nearby restaurants and metro links or even easy to grab a cab anywhere. Staff were very helpful and kind.

Kitchen could have some basic pots and pans for cooking purposes. Later I found you had to ask reception for these. It’s understandable as so many restaurants around but some people like to cook their own meals hence booking a room with kitchen facilities.

The location was great, the pool was great (the fact it was located technically inside, but also on the outside of the building, on 15 floor, so you have fresh air), the view from the room was spectacular, the restaurant was also great. There are a lot of local shops and restaurants near the hotel, as well as shopping malls and underground stations.

I didn't like the WiFi — in the evening, it was pretty bad for using a VPN to access YouTube, etc. Cant say about CH resources though. Room was not freshly renovated, but cant say its old or something. It was okay I guess, but could be better in a 5 star hotel. The pool closing at 9 PM was not the best thing to have given my travel was for work - I would enjoy using the pool after a busy working day, but that was already closed, unfortunately.

The hotel is conveniently located for the shopping malls and walking distance to Canton Tower. It is nicely designed, very clean and the staff were lovely. Thanks in particular to Michael Liu for arranging our airport transfer, he was incredibly helpful. They were also very accommodating with a super early check in following our flight from Auckland. The breakfast buffet in the restaurant was excellent with a combination of traditional and western style food. The dinner menu was also excellent. I am pleased that we chose this hotel and would stay again.
