The room exuded a warm and inviting atmosphere, with a comfortable bed that promised restful nights. While the television had seen better days, it hardly detracted from the overall charm. The highlight, however, was the exquisite hot springs, offering a rejuvenating escape that truly elevated the experience.

Despite the hotel’s four-star rating, I found the absence of room service to be disappointing. Additionally, some male staff members at the front desk lacked the necessary communication skills to engage with guests effectively. In contrast, the female staff demonstrated warmth and accommodation. It would be beneficial for management to address these concerns with the male staff, as their interactions could significantly improve the overall guest experience.

The views are exceptional and not to mention the peaceful vibe all over , just the sound of nature is soothing and fit for the occasion. There are a fair amount of pools , enough to decide according to the temperature and weather. The staff was super responsive and friendly especially the porters and reception. After many bad reviews and going with a doubtful mind , my experience was great , I’d definitely go again !

The service and hot springs. The place was not perfect but was for my purposes. Lots of stairs. Not good for wheelchairs. Some ramps. If you have mobility issues have them golf cart you up to the spa. Don’t forget your towel from the hotel counter. Long trip there and back if you forget. Pools can be crowded. Good news, the spa opens for hotel guest 1hour earlier. Like the temp options of the pools and do explore the spa spaces and garden area. Lots to check out.

Sticky stained carpet. Sticky table top from years of cleaning. Room was tired and dated. It was clean and the bed(not the pillows) comfortably. Casino seemed tried with 5 reel slots and I didn’t know the table games other than roulette

The staff were extremely friendly, and the hotel room smelt good and clean. The hot pools were awesome and enjoyable, and the surroundings had such great views. The breakfast buffet was amazing, and there was a great variety of everything one could think of. We went quadbiking and the experience on-site with Cape Town SA Forest Adventures, was easy to book for and was a lovely adventurous touch to our breakaway.

There is no separate shower in the hotel room as it is part of the bath - but there is a shower curtain, and we made it work for us. The hot pools are also quite far to walk to. To note: We were only informed when we checked in that when one books on booking.com, there is a 1% fee per day that is payable.

The pools are amazing and the breakfast buffet is of a high standard with lots of options.

This is a 4 star hotel which doesn't properly cater for vegetarians for dinner. There are two restaurants and both together had exactly two options. A Margherita and a vegetable curry. I asked both kitchens if they can make something else, both rejected. If there is a low demand, I understand that the options in the menu are limited but a real chef can surely come up with something. The hotel room bathrooms are in need of a makeover. However, everything is functional.

The complex is just lovely. The hotel staff were helpful.

I booked through booking.com for 4 adults and 2 children 9 and 2 years. The site said no family rooms and I had to book 3 double rooms. on arrival I was told family rooms were available. Also there are stairs and long corridors to the dining areas. My husband has limited mobility so.its worth checking if this applies to you. overall though we had a lovely brief stay and would book again..but with the hotel next time!

Loved the buffet breakfast, top glass. Restaurants next to the casino is very good . Hot mineral spring pools are very nice Ashley at the hotel reception was fantastic, she saved our trip.

Rooms are dated , bathrooms dated . Room furniture damaged and dated : minibar cupboards water damaged . We asked for a transfer to another room, first room was smelly from an old stained carpet . Ashley from reception saved the day by moving us to a room with a new carpet. Made a huge difference, if not for that we were ready to leave . Television to small for the room Sun deck chairs lower level of hotel super dirty. Balcony's super dirty, hasn’t been cleaned for weeks . Hot water pool building dated , old plastered dressing cubical, really needs a renovation. It looks 50years old .

Love all the amenities and variety of things to do on the premises. Literally the definition of relaxation, tranquility and rejuvenation.

The room that I stayed in. Said on the booking that it'll be a pool view, but couldn't see the pool. The room had a weird smell aswell as the bedding. The bathroom was constantly wet, assuming there's a leak. But besides that I'll definitely come back as a day visitor.

Seeing that we were there beginning to mid-week it was absolutely great. The quietness and tranquility was amazing. I don’t think you’ll have the same experience over a weekend or during the holidays but it’s definitely a destination for the in between breakaways when you need time to recuperate and be refreshed

I’m not sure if the property is going through changes but I remember from the previous times there were more options of restaurants, bar and room service but it appears that most of these have stopped. As I said I’m not sure if it’s changing but it would be nice to reinstate these again.

The hot springs are by far the best part of the experience. You really get to enjoy the aspects of nature. The premises are naturally beautiful, rich in history and lots of places to explore. As a hotel guest you get to experience the springs much longer than day visitors. There is a good variety of different pools and spa facilities like steam room and sauna. The massages we booked at the spa were very relaxing. The room suited our needs mostly. Great mini fridge and very comfortable bed. The breakfast was very tasty, lots of breakfast options and great coffee. Dinner at the Black Sheep was delicious and great service from our waitress. She anticipated what we needed without us having to ask.

The general decor of the hotel feels outdated. The WiFi was very slow. The air con in our room was broken and unpleasant because we had a very warm evening. The parking is very far from the hotel.
