Great stay at Whale Coast Ocean Villa. Superb bedroom, fully furnished. The house (8 bedrooms) is very well protected, you really feel safe there. There is a private parking for your car, inside the property. For dinner, you need to have a car to go to the city center (for example), all the restaurants are there. There is a full breakfast, with buffet and ''à la carte'' menu. Excellent. We had a friendly chat with our host who made appreciated efforts to speak english so that, us, French, could easily understand. Thanks for that ! We need to come back in Hermanus in Aug or Sept (in 2 years time) to see the whales, they are apparently next door to the house :)

Superb location overlooking the coast, the bedroom was the most comfortable I’ve stayed in with a huge bed & great en suite. Our room had a balcony overlooking gardens & ocean. The rest of the guest house was sublime with a huge lounge with big open windows for the views and we felt very comfortable here. We watched the sunset from the roof terrace, very special. A short walk through a boardwalk & woods to the vast ocean and wide beach & had a bite to eat in the cafe / restaurant there, just ten mins walk from the house. Both the welcome from the owner & the very friendly staff we met was lovely, with a great breakfast, it was a truly fabulous stay just a short drive from Hermanus.

extraordinarily clean, beautifully decorated, charming and well maintained place with the most helpful, attentive and courteous hosts and staff we have every stayed with. we booked to stay here one night, the weather forecast turned bad and we asked the hosts if they would move our booking to the following week. aurelia and veronica very readily did so and at no additional charge. we ended up staying 4 nights and were able to fully enjoy beautiful hermanus. the breakfast every morning was sumptuous and the buffet very well laid out, the omelettes they make are the most delicious EVER. thank you, aurelia and veronica, for a wonderful stay. we will return again for sure.

everything was perfect, nothing at all not to like.

This is the third time we have stayed at Whale Coast Ocean Villa, which is good value for money. The property is located approximately 2 miles from the centre of Hermanus, their are two restaurants within a 10 minutes walk from the property. Plus 3 lovely beaches again within walking distance. We have stayed in room # 1 which is extremely spacious with a nice balcony with sea view. There is a roof terrace with loungers and parasols for those without a balcony. The breakfast is a choice of both hot and cold, all the staff are polite and helpful. The property is extremely clean and modern, will not hesitate to return or recommend.

The breakfast was good. A good selection of food. The accommodation was great, very neat and clean. I simply loved the shower. It was close to all the amenities. Our family was there for the whale tour and the accommodation was so close to the Southern Right Charters. Thumbs up for the location.

The only downside is there is no ocean view however it is a short drive to the ocean.

The place was very clean and pretty with amazing views of the mountain, the location was perfect for visiting Hermanus and nearby towns and the breakfast was excellent. The staff (Antonia) was very helpful when we checked in. The manager told us where to find the perfect viewpoint for whale watching and she was absolutely spot on. While our whale-watching trip has been cancelled because of the weather, it has been a lovely experience staying overnight and would certainly book here again when we come back to Cape Town for another holiday.

There were no cutlery in the apartment although we could have asked the staff and they would surely have provided, we didn't bother. We only needed a teaspoon to stir coffee so a disposable wooden stirrer could have been provided in the rooms.

Everything ! This is a superb villa in a quiet part of town. The fantastic beach is only 2 minutes drive away, the golf course, about 5 minutes and the centre of town, about 10 minutes. We had a very large room with our own courtyard, and the view from the villa's lounge was simply spectacular. It was a real pleasure to meet Veronica and her team, and we couldn't recommend the Whale Coast Ocean Villa more highly. We would very happily stay here again.

It was a wonderful, relaxed vacation at Whale Coast Ocean Villa. Trevor and Charity were friendly, welcoming and helpful. Trevor made a warm fire on the afternoon of our arrival. We had a delicious breakfast every morning. The villa is a short walk to the Hermanus cliff paths, which were very safe and provided gorgeous views of the coastline. They had solar and we were not affected by loadshedding. It is only a few minutes from the city centre and harbour to explore shops and restaurants. I would highly recommend this place and will definitely be returning again.

Aurelia is a so nice, she prepared everything we need in the room. She reminded us and helped send the cellphone back to us that we left in the room. All the staff are friendly and helpful, they made us feel like home. Also the breakfast is delicious. Wi-Fi is strong, and we’ve been informed schedule of load shedding for preparation, which helped a lot. The accommodation is cozy and modern, much more better than photos. The location is good and quite. You can drive to the cliff beach and town center in 10 minutes.

The location cannot be better - close to the cliff paths and 2 world class beaches. The venue is of high quality - clean, spacious and comfortable. The staff is friendly and efficient and will go the extra mile. The breakfast is a great addition. Overall probably one of the best venues in Voëlklip, great value for money and we will definitely return!
