At the top of the staircase is the quaintest 2 bedroom loft cottage, decorated in a cosy, beach cottage style and well appointed with everything you might need for your stay including a microwave, airfryer, toaster, kettle (note to the owners - The kettle didn't switch off properly so has to be turned off at the wall), tea, coffee, milk, rusks and a cookie on the pillow. We were extremely comfortable. The cottage is a perfect choice for all seasons with a gorgeous outdoor deck for warmer months and heaters and electric blankets for cooler months. We loved our stay! Good location, with cliff path, spar supermarket, liquor store and town centre walkable or a short car journey away. Quiet, comfortable and well equipped loft with pretty picnic table outside in full sunshine. Beach chairs available to borrow, strong WiFi, secure parking and a holiday feel. Reception area staffed and we received a warm welcome from Janet. We slept well, felt at home, appreciated the daily cleaning service and would recommend the top floor loft apartment as a central, ideal base for a Hermanus holiday.

Our host was amazingly accommodating- allowing us to come a week early with no warning. Thank you! We were welcomed as if we were family! The children loved the friendly dog. The neighbourhood was beautiful and very close to the beach and shops. There is plemty of space in the Rose room with a large spotless bathroom. We enjoyed using a little outdoor seating area and the car was safe in a secure parking space. There is a gas heater and fireplace for use in winter (bring your own fire starters).

The fridge woke me up a few times in the night. There is a buildlng renovation next door with banging starting at 7-30am one morning. I am sure this is temporary.

Lovely stay, unfortunately only two nights but had a wonderful time. The log burner made the room beautifully warm at night. Jan was very accommodating, allowing us to park our car early on the first day to allow us to get a taxi to the wineries. The second day we had an amazing experience watching the whales from a boat. Later on in the day we could also see them breaching from the shore. The comfortable and very homely accommodation was only a short walk from the seafront and loads of restaurants. We absolutely loved it here and couldn't recommend it enough, a real must and we will definitely stay here again. Thank you.

I loved that they had thought through everything you could possibly need. It was intuitive. There were lots of extra touches. Milk in the fridge. Tea and coffee. A braai outside. A skotel with gas in the little courtyard. Soap. Body lotion. Cold water in the fridge. Ice. A lovely table in the courtyard. Lovely decor. Spacious bedroom. Lovely linen. And the best thing ever…….they have solar so there is no issue with the load shedding (electricity blackouts). Good wifi too. Responsive friendly host. Highly recommended. I loved it!! The location is perfect. Close to the centre part of Hermanus and all the restaurants. An easy walk to the cliff path.

Loved the little garden with undercover eating area. Perfect to be able to eat outside and dry things even in the rain. The space worked well for our family of 4. We also felt very safe being away from the street and parking was secured with electric gate.

The fridge is a little small for 4 people as our sons have huge appetites, but luckily shops are very close and convenient for restocking.

Accommodation was comfortable and spacious. Close to shops, I could walk there. Quiet, accessible , beautiful part of town. Very pleasant stay, I will be back! And last but not least the muffins as part of my birthday treat, we're delicious. Thank you!

The trivets in the glass oven were sticky.

Beautyful place! Designed with care for details it is very comfortable and you just feel good being there. Nice, peaceful neighbourhood, short walk from the town center and the sea. We had a great time there! And the host was such a nice and helpful person. Close to perfection!

We really enjoyed being able to walk to the town from Eastbury cottage. It was a ten minute walk to the shops or cliff path. The cottage is self catering and has everything you need. Very comfortable and spacious with cottage decor. We would stay here again.

The cottage was cosy, homely and well-appointed, containing all one needs in a very good central location. Staff and reception were friendly and welcoming and the cottage had good quality linen and towels , ample kitchenware and extras like a beach umbrella and beach chairs, hair dryer and iron, all much appreciated. A great stay.
