I was able to enjoy an incredibly good time and I am very grateful for that! The staff is very friendly and accommodating, everything is clean, beautifully decorated, with great attention to detail. The view is fantastic, the location of the hotel is terrific! I will definitely and very much like to come back! Thank you very much for the wonderful holiday! 😍☺️

We appreciated access to the main kitchen for our own use. The view from the parlour and dining room was divine-straight out to the waves on the foreshore. Breakfast was beautifully cooked, presented and delivered by Elen and Devon. Natasha the owner was so kind and thoughtful upon our late and weary arrival and I appreciated her travel advice too. Property felt very secure at night. Thankyou.

We struggled with the awkwardness of the bathroom being in the middle between our two rooms. Rooms were a tad cramped and directly off the main living and dining areas for the rest of the guests, thus feeling a little bit exposed. A bit of noise late at night from other guests up/and on the stairs.

La Fontaine Guesthouse is one of my favourite places I stayed during my trip. It is right on the ocean in the nice village of Hermanus. The house and rooms are beautifully decorated and you will have a nice breakfast with a sea view. I found the guesthouse very cozy and comfortable. The owner is friendly and helpful, and will do her best to make you feel at home.

At first, I was a bit put off by the reminders of the strict and prompt closing of the check-in at 18pm. You will have to plan accordingly. However, as soon as I arrived all of that was forgotten. It is a great place to stay.

This hotel is possibly one of the nicest I have stayed at in my life. Natasha was faultlessly welcoming and generous with information, support and suggestions. The information booklet she offers on arrival for places to go is the most helpful I've ever come across. The breakfast was luxurious and fresh, the space to eat overlooking the water, and the details in the room from linen and toiletries to the tea and coffee set up was so thoughtful. I only wish I could have stayed longer but even one night was also worth it in that gorgeous room, with the perfect view over the water... with all the little extras thought of, and nothing you don't need. Nothing was difficult to arrange - Natasha even helped me with towels (and the courage!) to manage the quick, refreshing (icy) dip in the pool I was craving after checking out while I waited for my pick up to the next destination.

Excellent location, walking distance to everything. Comfortable room with a great view! The entire place is spotless. Great shower and hot water ( bad water pressure and lukewarm water are my worst but you will not be disappointed here!). I loved the convenience of the coffee machine and little fridge in the room. Even though I didn't make use of it, they offer a selection of snacks in your room as well as offering some things downstairs. Great if you find yourself there after the shops have closed etc.

I thought the room had a smart TV, pretty sure the listing (and the property's website) said TV with Netflix, so I was a little disappointed with no streaming services but the WiFi is excellent so my phone did the trick. There are a few satellite channels to watch as well so not a total deal-breaker.

The staff were helpful and friendly. The breakfast was decent. The location is excellent across the street from the ocean and a short walk from the centre of town.

The size of the room was too small (we had reserved only one room but ended up with 2 anyway, neither of them a good size for a large bed). Our room was right next to the reception area, so the noise started at 7 am, which woke us up earlier than we wanted. The suction fan in the bathroom is extremely loud. The safe box is placed on the floor of the small wardrobe, which makes it hard to access. There is no conditioner. The property offered body wash and shampoo combination.

La Fontaine Guest House is situated perfectly at the ocean in Hermanus, only a 5min walk away from the city centre. The surrounding is very safe, the view great. Rooms are very clean, staff is very friendly and helpful. Parking Lot is spacious and easily accesible.

Room sizes vary, we had one very large and one rather small room. This is ok, even the small room was big enough, but depending on your expectations, this needs to be considered when booking. As for many hotels and B&Bs in South Africa, if you prefer sweet breakfasts, options are limited.

I believe, I got a good deal through Genius as I could stay for R1040 a night. The hotel is in the city center, where all the sights are, with the breakfast area overlooking the ocean incl. whales and dolphins. The host is very welcoming and helpful and went out of her way to check me in late. She also offered to manage any reservations and bookings for activities during my stay. The breakfast is luxurious. The room wasn’t big but just as the rest of the hotel clean, cute and had everything one might need.

Lovely place, gorgeous, spacious rooms, beautifully decorated and lovely location just 10 mins walk into centre of town.

It is worth noting there is major construction going on at the property next door which didn’t cause us any issues at all as we were up and out after breakfast. But if you were wanting to chill out by the pool or in your sea facing room for the day you may be slightly disappointed by the noise which is no fault of the owners.
