Lovely staff that made me feel very welcome and gave a lot of good recommendations on what to do and where to eat. They’ve got a house dog as well, she is the cutest! I was too early for check in but they allowed me to store my bags. After check in I got a free room upgrade to a family room. I loved it, it was very spacious and clean. The bed was comfortable too. Sharing the bathroom with other guests wasn’t a problem, I never had to wait to use the toilet or shower. Their kitchen is fully stocked with everything you might need to cook your own meal or for braai. All in all I enjoyed my stay here, I liked the laidback vibe but it is definitely much cleaner and more organized than your average backpacking destination.

The Accommodation is lovely! It starts with the personal. They gave me many ideas what we can do and what to expect in Hermanus. They showed me hiden spots at the card. We havent seen any whales in Hermanus. They booked us a kajaking tour for the next day. Unlucky we havent seen whales there. But that its the wildlife.. They tried everything they could, that we have a good days in Hermanus. The accomodation is very clean and has a Pool and a Little bar. Ive been traveling a lot. The Hostel stays under my top 7! I am going to highly reccommend it! Ps. We got lucky and we have seen now a whale in Gansbaai. :D Thank you for the staying. It was amazing!

One of the best hostels I’ve stayed at in my world travels. I had my own room and bathroom—both clean and comfortable. Loved the communal spaces—all with lots of natural lighting, beautiful artwork, and lots of information on things to do locally. I’m so grateful to Jacqueline and Marco who went above and beyond with their hospitality, help with whale watching, and local suggestions. They are incredible hosts! Highly recommended. Will definitely stay here again!

Very kind and friendly staff. They have good and organized facilities like lounge, kitchen and outside area. Rooms and bathrooms were also nicely clean. The location was very good and safe. I was surprised (in a positive way) in how the place was peaceful. It's literally a home away from home. All staff and guest were very respectful regarding the co living good practices. This is definitely a place to relax mind and body. Highly recommended place to stay if you have high standards.

staff are amazing ,knowledgeable and hospitable ,, Zoe the resident dog is lovely but won't be too playful if you aren't a dog person ,,there is a pool if you don't rust, kitchen well equipped and kept clean fortunately got my own room, much preciated , best bed - single by the window (can be cold though) the matures and linen are new and top quality walking distance to the town centre and cliff walk - say hi to the whales 🐳 and dassies recommend christchurch reachsa

plug points are not close to all beds - use a power bank if you a phone addict ~ there are many plugs around the room , 🇪🇺 two pin and USB as well so not a dislike

It was.my first time staying in the backpackers but my stay was exceptionally nice. From the receptionist to the staff every one is very welcoming. My kids are scared of dogs but all the way back home were talking about their first time seeing a sweetest dog like Chloe. Jacqueline keep on treating your clients as same you are such an amazing woman. We had wonderful time with my family.. Sono family ❤️

What I didn't really like was the wood base but mattress was comfortable. It felt like it break when we climbed up with my husband.

The hostel is wonderful. It is quiet so it is not a party hostel if that is what you are looking for. Jaquiline, the administrator/receptionist, was super kind and helpful. She made us feel very welcome from the moment we entered and she gave us great tips around the area including things to do and places to eat and was always asking whether we needed anything and asked about our day. We stayed at a private room and the facilities were great and had a lot of space. The Internet was very fast and also worked in the room. Cannot but recomend the hostel.

We were in town for a race, and the host was extremely accommodating with our erratic schedule and equipment. It really was the perfect place to stay for the race, extremely close to the harbour. The entire backpackers was quiet, but our double room felt especially quiet and private. The kitchen area is very spacious too. Will definitely be staying here again when in Hermanus.

There was not a particular thing that bothered us, the place is well up to standard.

As we stayed in winter, they provided a heater in the room which really helped warmed us up as we stayed in a private room at the Annex. The kitchen was well equipped when we needed utensils for our take away dinner and we had a peaceful night sleep. The price was also great value for one night stay. Jacqueline was also super helpful in sharing information and giving recommendations on how best to enjoy the town.

It was just slightly away from the heart of town. Still a short easy walk to access cafes and shops.
