Staying in this small family-run guesthouse near Hermanus felt like being welcomed into a home. The hosts were incredibly warm and made my stay feel cozy and personal. They gave me excellent recommendations, tailored for a traveler with limited time—exactly what I needed. They even shared a special spot for watching the sunset with private beach entrance. We had long conversations, and the whole experience felt truly special. I’m so grateful to this family and really hope to return one day.

Vanessa and Derek are the absolutely wonderful hosts at this property and Vanessa could not have been more of a help to me and my partner if she tried . Help and advice was given to us freely about the area and what there is to do . I could not recommend this property enough, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay ! Thank you so so much !

The location was quite and central. Loved the fact that there was a heater in the room especially with it being winter. Vanessa is super friendly and kept us well informed about activities in Fisherhaven and the broader Hermanus. Will definitely recommend and return.

The unit we stayed in the shower was at an angle and made it a bit awkward to shower but the owner informed us about that before hand.

Vanessa and Derek were the most wonderful hosts who were ready to help at any given minute. They are so friendly & never hesitated to make our stay 10 x better. The unit was clean, neat and cozy. It was perfect for our short stay. There's a lovely entertainment area which we could use to wind down as well as a lovely kitchen which we could use to prepare our meals. I would definitely recommend it to anyone passing by or traveling through Hermanus.

It's a beautiful area and we had a comfortable stay. Our hosts were kind, warm and knowledgeable about the area. I especially enjoyed listening to the plight of the wild horses. It was such an unexpected pleasure to sight these wild, free creatures.

Although it's a short distance away, the drive from Hermanus to Fisherhaven in the dark was intimidating.

I had a wonderful stay at Fisherhaven Traveller's Lodge. My room was cozy and comfortable. The kitchen is spacious and well-equipped. The property is clean, quiet and safe. Vanessa and Derek are amazing hosts, very welcoming and helpful. The nearby Botrivier Lagoon and Rooisand Nature Reserve are excellent for hiking or walking, relaxing and birdwatching.

The ambiance and warm reception is absolutely beautiful and such a lovely peaceful energy that greets you when entering the space. Vanessa goes out of her way to ensure her patrons feel welcomed and well looked after. We will certainly return. Our room was neat and clean, breakfast was delicious. Thank you

Vanessa and Derek are very sweet and generous hosts. They even let us use the key to the private lagoon which is gorgeous, especially for sunset. Total must-do when you're there. And they lend us an extra set of binoculars which was fantastic to watch the whales in Hermanus. The housing itself is a bit rustic. If it's windy you can feel and hear it inside but you have blankets to keep yourself warm and with ear plugs you can turn off the wind. We felt cozy.

Staff were super helpful and friendly. Vanessa went out of her way to discuss our trip and give us some tips. She also went out of her way to flow up after we left with more information. Very accommodating. Amazing value. Safe area with gated parking. No complaints!

I love the tranquility and the scenery and the location is so convenient. Vanessa a very friendly and sourcefull host. When is opened the door this morning and hear the sea talking to me, I was in seventh heaven. I felt like I was at home, arrived.
