Everyone was warm and welcoming and very helpful. The room we stayed in was very clean and had thoughtful touches for travellers I.e a fridge with milk in, coffee, tea, cups and a kettle, hairdryer and mosquito repellents were all in the room. the room also had a nice sized TV and wifi password was provided on arrival. The bed was super comfortable and I slept soo well for both nights we were at the house. All the staff are supper friendly and very kind. Thank you for your kindness and for an easy and lovely stay.

Nice and clean room with very comfortable bed. The staff are very friendly and helpful. It's like staying in a family home, hence the name.

Pool needed a bit of a clean, but it's a minor issue. It just had a lot of leaves in it. Didn't really bother me though.

We were welcomed and well informed of the facilities available to us, host was extremely accommodating to our requirements throughout our stay for 8 days. The full experience to us was home away from home. Thank you for your hospitality while we were there. Breakfast really worth it.

The nicest people I've ever met. So kind and helpful they left me feeling eternally grateful. The room was lovely with an awesome shower. The breakfast was crazy good. I would go back for the breakfast. I recommend the omelette. Thank you for having us.

Location is very good, in 5 minutes walk from cliff path with dassies but very quiet tho, which is quite important for good sleep. Hot water and no problems with electricity. Amazing hot breakfast with eggs and beacon. The host is very friendly and nice. Will definitely return.

I loved that even during loadshedding there was wifi available. The breakfast set up and presentation was great. I take my hat off to the staff and host for making sure everything is well with guest and friendly interaction. I also loved that I was able to make payment at the destination while being made felt at home. Hermanus at home lives up to its name.

for the price? it was perfect very homey overall, including bedding etc., I prefer the cleanliness impression one gets from white sheets, the room & especially shower was quite old, not soundproof (water tube sounds)

We had a very good stay. The family room is very convenient and breakfast was excellent! We only stayed a night, but we enjoyed the quietness of the area. Owners are very friendly and available at all times.

Let me take this opportunity to tip my hat to Koos for being a wonderful and helpful host during our stay. From the moment we arrived, we felt welcome and cared for. The rooms were generous, the bathroom was lovely, and the pool was pretty refreshing. But what is better is the obvoius preparation evident everwhere in the house - and it gives you such a sense of appreciation that your host went the extra mile to ensure your comfort.

A couple of wheelchair ramps could be useful for those using wheelchairs, but this was a family home so it's difficult to see where they would work. The weather could have been a bit better, but good as he is, I don't think Koos could have changed that.

The service was great and the beds comfortable. The house is located in a quiet open space offering some nice views.

During our stay it was a bit cold, but that is the case in almost all accommodations in South Africa in the winter months
