Personal contact and very friendly staff. Very nice place close to new harbour from where Whale watching tours depart ( approx 7 min walk; 2 min by car) and close to biodiversity board walk with splendid views over tje ocean..also just 5 min with car to city centre. Very nice neighbourhood and safe feeling. Very nice decorated lounge and splendid breakfast. Parking lot for 6 cars on property so car is always protected. Recommendable place !

Loadshedding struck us when charging cellulars.

Rene is a great host. She took care of us very well and gave excellent tips to explore the region. Our kids loved Bobby, the dachshund too. Excellent Breakfast. The rooms are clean, spacious. The showers and WiFi worked great. We were lucky with the whale sightings too as the weather turned rough from the evening before we left! All in all a great stay.

Friendly and helpful host, nearby to the port for whale watching cruises and restaurants and nearby an entrance/start of the cliff walk path. During load shedding all electricity is off, but lights on batteries are provided. The breakfast was really nice and enough for us. We liked our first stay, so on our way back to Cape Town some weeks later we stayed here again for a couple of nights. The host had kept a bag we forgot the first time and returned it to us the second time. The WiFi was ok (but didn’t work during load shedding). Our 3-year old son slept with us in our bed, this is allowed, space for an extra bed is not available. Our son loved the dog and cat of the host.

During load shedding there is no electricity, but the host told us she would invest in solar panels, a battery and solar heating for the swimming pool in the near future. This would be a very comfortable improvement to the accommodation!

A fabulous guest house. Warm welcome from Rene and Bobby the dog. The room was great and spacious with everything we needed. Load shedding didn’t affect us as they had a back up system in place. Breakfast was very good. The salt water pool was refreshing. The gardens were beautiful. A few steps from the cliff path and the quayside seafood cabin

Perhaps the wifi in one of our rooms could have been better but there was always connection in the lounge.

We love everything about this place, we will definitely come back, the place is close to town, the lady who wellcomed us, she was very lovely, she took her time to brief us about the place.

Apart from the lady who met us there was no other interaction with staff. Even as we left the member of staff on duty could not be found. That’s Thornby negative

Very nice small hotel a stone's throw from the ocean. A cozy bedroom with a comfortable bed, a very tasty breakfast with a choice of menus, a charming hostess who advised us where to watch whales from the shore. The town itself is nice and safe, with good restaurants and bars. I would be happy to come again, for a longer stay.

We loved the cottage which was clean and spacious. The heater in the bedroom helped keep us cosy. The kitchen had everything we needed to make some simple meals.

Very cute bungalows, comfortable and clean. Loved the added extra of a biscuit with our tea/coffee in the room. Lynda was warm and friendly and gave great advice on where to visit.
