Warm welcome by friendly and helpful staff. Our room was spacious, clean and beautifully decorated with an ocean view. Breakfast was delicious, I loved their homemade muesli. They do not offer dinner at the Hotel, but arranged a reservation for us at The Wine Glass.

I was very disappointed by their 'spa' as it was one of the main reasons for choosing this Hotel. Signed up for their Gold Package, which at a cost of R1800 for 2 hours, I expected a qualified therapist ... this was not the case. Existing staff do short courses for massage, pedi's etc. Room was located near staff quarters which was very noisy.

breakfast was sumptuous and in abundance , had the full cooked breakfast, which was perfectly done .

we stayed two nights , the only criticism would be that the complimentary bottled water and tea , coffee wasn’t replenished on the second day of stay , also a suggestion of a fixed mirror on the wall where the hair dryers are , so because of this it gave me the sense that a man had designed the room and not a women , other than that a perfect stay , thankyou xxx

The position is great. Walking distance from the action in the town. Clean and painted white and blue which fits the environment and the cleanliness of the hotel. I alway laugh when people write in a review how friendly the staff were, but in this case I really mean it. They were so lekker. To me, it is a place to say when visiting this town. You can spend a lot of money at other places but here, you get what you pay for. It’s new and it will become well known soon. Best of luck to the owners and the staff in the years to come.

Amazing little hotel with the most amazing staff who offered the best hotel service I think I have ever received in South Africa. They were extremely attentive and friendly and made us feel so welcome from the moment we arrived. The pool area is fabulous with all day sun and the location is perfect for a little walk into central Hermanus and its bars and restaurants.

Our room backed out onto the bin area of the hotel and generator so was a little noisy and not very scenic. But wasn't an issue as we weren't in the room much :)

Our stay at One Marine Drive Boutique Hotel was a true delight, leaving us with memories of unparalleled hospitality. The The staff is truly set it apart from the rest. There is nothing not to like

Right on the main road the location of this hotel is wonderful. Loved the fact that our balcony overlooking the bay was covered so you can watch whales and dolphins right from your balcony dry and in comfortable chairs in any weather. We saw tons! The beautiful cliff path is right in front of the hotel. The staff is amazing, as is breakfast. Liked the idea of the honesty bar.

In the honesty bar you can only buy a big bottle of wine. I would recommend also adding small ones for just a glass.

After a terrible ordeal at Grand Lux Boitique Manor, One Marine Drive received us very professionally! They immediately helped us with a quick check-in and took us to a lovely room. Everything was 5 star! The staff, the breakfast, the location, decor!

Absolutely nothing!

Absolutely lovely place to stay. Staff were incredibly friendly, welcoming and helpful - nothing was too much trouble. The breakfast was delicious - a nice choice of food and the option of dairy-free milk. The room was lovely with beautiful sea views. The first place that’s offered a separate make-up face towel! A really great ideal as I’m always getting black mascara on the white towels. The hotel was right on the cliff top path which was a lovely walk to the Harbour (right) and the town/restaurants/beach (left). Running felt very safe along the cliff path and roads. Would highly recommend this hotel and would love to visit again.

Beautiful boutique style hotel. The staff was very welcoming and always willing to assist. The breakfast was extremely good, with great coffee and a nice setting. The pool area is small but all that you need to cool off and relax by the pool. The room was very nice: comfortable, spacious and luxurious; with a coffee, tea and fridge station outside the room servicing 3 adjacent rooms. I would suggest to have a marker pen available to mark the stuff that you put into the communal fridge.

Although our view of the ocean was fantastic, our balcony was very close to the street (2nd floor) - but it was expected. I would book 3rd floor in future, as that balcony is a bit further removed from being visible from the street. The only room cleaning service that we received in a 4 day stay was having the bed made. No vacuuming or other cleaning was done. Room service for dinner options were very limited and more limited than the website or the printed menu in reception indicated.

Quality of the bed linen, towels, glasses, beach towels. All our needs were anticipated. A 10 min walk into town along the coastal road was perfect. Our room had a lovely ocean view. Gin and tonics at 5pm was fabulous. The staff were exceptional, helpful and warm and funny! I had a brilliant facial.
