Location was perfect for our needs, very close to the shops, breakfast cafés and sea front, with plenty of street parking close by. I was expecting fairly basic accommodation given that we were staying in a hostel with shared bathrooms, but what we got exceeded my expectations - the rooms were spacious and clean, with a fridge and coffee/tea making facilities, and the bathrooms (separate areas for showers and toilets) were very modern and clean. There was also a nice lounge area for relaxing and a nice balcony/terrace for enjoying a drink in the fresh air and sunshine. Can only recommend for anyone looking for somewhere to sleep that is great value for money.

The location is excellent and because access is in a gated alley, very safe. The facilities, the size of the room, bathrooms etc. are excellent and way more than one would expect from "hostel" accommodation. It was was more than I expected and I will certainly recommend your establishment to anyone staying in Hermanus on a budget.

The sound of the air conditioning units belonging to the restaurant next door. Ventilation could have been better i.e. 4 opening windows instead of only 2. However, the ceiling fan did help.

The location is super convenient, right at the heart of things. Facilities were top-notch and clean. The room is well kitted out with comfortable bedding, a fan, kettle, fridge, bedside lamps, and some free tea and coffee. Very helpful and friendly staff, and the place is cleaned every day. The lounge and kitchen area is large and nicely laid out. There is free wifi and plug points. There's also a nice balcony area. A nice bonus is that they give you access to a pool in a building across the road.

No backup power for loadshedding (but they did provide a solar charted light in the room), and it felt a bit hot in the building - I guess no AC, but it wasn't too bad

Billed as a Hostel, but apart from fairly small room and shared toilet & shower facilities, rates higher than many hotels. If these don't worry you, it is very highly recommended. Close to seafront, run by main excellent hotel, very clean Indeed. Pleasant shared sitting area.

Nothing if you don't mind shared shower and toilet facilities. These have plenty for the number of users, and were immaculately clean.

I loved Everything about this place !!! Sooo clean, quiet (the walls are thick), comfy, very safe, the kitchen is huge and so well kept, lots of space everywhere, bathroom spotless, bed comfy, room with its own little fridge and extras. I just LOVED this place. Couldn't be better situated, I could see a bit of the ocean and the whales from the balcony in front. One minute walk and you are in the centre or at the Waterfront ! Awesome !!! I had a shared room, 4 beds, with shared bathroom.

The only thing I didn't like was that you had to check in at the Harbour Hotel, which was a bit confusing, and meant I had to drag my luggage around more than I wanted to.

Situated in the heart of Hermanus, and close to everything you want to experience in the town. Fancier than I thought and a great place to hang out with friends.

The street parking stressed me out a little bit and just had to make sure nothing was left or visible in the car… but I was able to park directly in front of the hostel.

The rooms and facilities are big, bright and well equipped. Perfect location. Both inside and outside common area. Located in a beautiful art street, so super charming.

Everything is perfect. Of course there was a power cut ( not their fault ) but it made it a little inconvenient as no light or charge for some hours.

Very clean as per last time, enjoyed the central location again.

It was not the same experience as last time, the host was no longer there and the place felt a little abandoned at times. Maybe this is just seasonal, but I feel like the atmosphere has changed significantly. It had a beautiful boutique hostel feel last time and now feels more like a an afterthought motel, albeit still at a pretty high standard. This place could be one of the best hostels in South Africa if the ownership just puts in the 10% extra that was initially there.

I really don't have much experience with hostels. They are usually extremely overcrowded and noisy so I avoid them. But this is not really a hostel. This is a hotel with shared bathrooms, and you can alsop rent a private bathroom for an extra fee. For the steal price you get a large room with two comfortable beds, fridge, cutlery, table and a hanging closet which is way more than I expected from a hostel. Parking is right outside the gate on the one-way street up from the gearing point.

There is no air conditioning in the rooms, only a ceiling fan, the air is ventilated through small windows on top of the walls, and the smoke and noise from the restaurant air vents situated right outside the window enters the room. For someone it might not be a big deal.
