The food was delicious and had a wide range of options at the breakfast buffet. The staff also took a lot of care to decorate our room and make it special. It was really sweet of them to go above and beyond. The teddy museum is also a great attraction located within the resort and you get discounted tickets if you are staying at the resort.

We were warned about jellyfish stings at the beach which made a it a bit disappointing that we could not enjoy as much. There was also a recent insect infestation at the hotel which required us to keep the balcony doors shut, which we only found out about after checking in. So we were unable to access the balcony even though we paid extra for it at the time of booking.

It's great they have a bridge to access the beach across the street, but you still have to walk a bit to Miami Beach. For a higher end hotel, it was disappointing to see/have: - lobby games is paid (tokens you purchase) - no water dispenser (there is one in the gym!) - charge of RM5 if you ask for cutlery to the room without room service.. - small amount of lounge chairs at the pool

Service was superb, all staffs are very friendly and helpful. Lobby was spacious. The pool is totally kids friendly, my 15-month old son enjoyed the baby pool a lot! Requested for a baby cot, and it's free of charge, satisfied mum indeed!

Slight disappointment as the link bridge is under construction, going to the beach opposite took us more time than usual, and the kids water play area was closed as well.

The view of my room is amazing, was surrounded by the ocean. Size of the room is also great.

quite disappointed that the room leaks when heavy rain. My room is just located next to fire escape door and not sure that night was too windy or other reasons, there was door banging all night from 2am till 4am which quite distracting and I couldn't sleep. I also think as a resort, facilities that it provided are very limited. Pool depth is not customers' friendly, ie, only suitable for kids. Overall, there is not much to do other than staying inside room

The room was clean and cozy, perfect for a relaxing stay. The pool area was also very nice, clean, and great for both kids and adults. Overall, a pleasant experience!

I booked a full seaview room, but upon arrival, I was given a room with only a partial seaview. When I asked, I was told that only family rooms come with full seaview, and others are only partially facing the sea. I found this quite misleading, as the room description clearly stated it was seaview room, not a partial one. I hope the hotel can be more honest and transparent with room descriptions in the future to avoid disappointment.

The staff is very kind, so helpful and always smiling. The room was clean, quiet and the bed was VERY comfortable. The breakffast was nice and there were plenty vegetarian and vegan options too.

This hotel desperately needs a makeover. For the price you would expect a bit more. The pool area is old and in need of some serious care, the bathrooms are clean but old and not very well maintained over the years. The SPA and restaurant are quite pricey for what they offer. The AC in the gym is not cooling enough making the workouts a nightmare. There is nothing around the hotel: no minimarket, no shops, no restaurants, nothing which means that you will only be about to get out of there by car.

Very clean. Really nice staff, always happy to help. Nice size room, with a good comfy bed . Decent, powerful shower. Fridge, safe, hairdryer, ironing board, etc . Plenty of sun loungers and towels. Decent breakfast and coffee.

We didn't like the invasion of screaming kids and parents who never told them off! At the weekend peace was shattered. People opposite our room had booked 5 rooms. Kids running up and down the corridor, screaming, banging doors etc. The breakfast room was overrun, things were spilt, not topped up. There was no chance of a swim. People were running around, jumping in the pool, screaming, playing ball and nobody tells them off!! This spoilt it for the customers who wanted to sit and relax....shame really.

It was extremely busy very booked out Breakfast was ok but very crowded I thought our room would have had a large bed and a single bed not a made up roller bed The lifts were very slow to come but probably because of the volume of people Booked for 3 but only 2 mugs and glasses and 2 tea bags etc had to call for more

I had a wonderful stay at DoubleTree Resort by Hilton Penang to celebrate my birthday. From the moment I arrived, the team made me feel so welcomed and taken care of. The room was cozy and comfortable, with a lovely touch of birthday decoration and a sweet surprise that truly made my day extra special. The resort itself is beautiful, relaxing beach vibes, family-friendly facilities, and a calm atmosphere perfect for a getaway. I especially enjoyed the hospitality of the staff, who were attentive, friendly, and always ready to help with a smile. Thank you DoubleTree Resort Penang for making my birthday memorable. It was truly a delightful experience, and I look forward to coming back again soon. One of the highlights for us was the Kids Club — my children really enjoyed it! The activities were fun and engaging, from colouring to arts and crafts, and it gave them a chance to be creative while having a great time. The staff were warm and attentive, making sure the kids felt comfortable and happy throughout. It was such a bonus to have a safe and fun space for the little ones, while we parents could relax and enjoy the resort. Thank you to the team for the thoughtful hospitality and making our stay so memorable. Truly a wonderful place for both adults and kids!

Overall, I had a nice stay at DoubleTree Resort by Hilton Penang and appreciated the warm hospitality, but I felt the food for room service did not quite meet expectations for the price. While the presentation was good, the taste and variety could be improved to better match the value. Considering the standards of Hilton, I was expecting more in terms of flavour and selection. I hope the resort can enhance the dining experience, as it would make the stay even more enjoyable and worthwhile.

The over all service at Hilton Penang is commendable. They have the best beds that are so comfortable. Pool hours are extended to 9pm for a late swim a huge plus! Breakfast spread is generous lots of options! We stayed in the Kings Suite and it had ample space. Special thanks to Mr Imran the always smilling staff at the pool area he engages with our daughter so well! Despite multi tasking between serving us in the pool and the dining area he was always full of smiles! At reception Ms Andriana was helpful and always big smiles. From Housekeeping we had a wonderful person whom cleaned our room and when I requested additional water for my babys milk he always left sufficient water refills for me. Over all on a daily basis a WhatsApp message comes to us to check if everythings fine with us and it’s always nice to know someone keeps checking in daily to know if you need anything. Over all we enjoyed our stay and even extended 1 night due to our wonderful experience.

Only not so positive feedback is the kids club. We were told below 4 years can only play with toys and not allowed to colour or draw. Play room was small as well. Would be good to have a nice play area with slide and not limit children to activities. Of course the kids swimming pool had a water slide and that was impressive but it would be nice to have more activities at the kids club when the outdoor weather is not great! In room dining pricing needs re evaluation. I think it’s overly priced compared to Park Royal and Hard Rock.
