small and friendly- not corporate. offer that could always phone hotel number if in need of advice / assistance suitability for my needs at reasonable price not far from station, yet on way to centre and the coast flexibility of breakfast times and fast service.

I found the fact that the whole bathroom floor effectively being the base of the shower a bit unusual and meant that whole area wet after shower use. I can see the reason is for effective use of compact space, not a major problem but because effectively level, nowhere convenient to put shower towel to stand on afterwards, except outside the room or else it gets very soggy.

Excellant greeting from owner. Made us feel very welcome., played a tune of our request on her piano and then sung to us. Beautiful voice , made us feel very relaxed after our long journey..Unique hotel. As well as acommodation, sold antiques/paintings, but no pressure to purchase anything. The breakfast was a real highlight.. Everything possible for a continental breakfast was on your table, plus a daily egg special. Did not have to get up to get anything, all brought to your table. Would definately stay there again and recommend it highly. It was very popular, the small brekfast room was full every morning. (can see why)

The only downside, the lift takes you up to second floor, where 12 bedrooms are, unfortunately our room was up a flight of steep stairs. (however the owner insisted on carrying our case up for us.) I would request one of the 12 rooms on the lift level next time. The hotel does not have a restaurant, but there are plenty within easy walking distance..

There is literally nothing i dont like about this hotel. Its very simple. Absolutely clean, i think its supposed to be a five star hotel. Im definitely coming back here the next time i want to spend quality time with my girl friend. Good place for making a baby 😍❤️😂🤙

Its only the electric kettle that boils water. It was quite stuffy inside but i think its normal coz they use for boiling water. The rest was super cool. Good staff, very welcoming reception and the lady who sings for the clients. Its so heart warming to be recieved with some good Dutch music.

The hotel is in a perfect location. Few blocks away to the waterfront, stores, and tons of restaurants all right there. I didn’t mind walking around since the town is beautiful and quiet. We are from the US so we choose a room with air conditioning and a fridge. Must have and worth paying for. Room was very nice and clean. Bathroom is outstanding and up to date. It was a great stay

It’s not fair to put anything down since the country has different standards than the USA. We are used to ice machines and microwave in the room. That we missed.

This is a fun and quirky property, which I thoroughly enjoyed. The room was comfortable and I slept great. The owners were accommodating. The breakfast is fantastic, and well worth the extra cost. The location is excellent for exploring the beautiful city of Hoorn. There are a lot of stairs, some of which are very steep. If you have mobility limitations, please inform them when making your reservation.

There was nothing I did not like.

It is a cozy establishment with a friendly staff and a great location for shopping and dining. Everything about it was warm and inviting and as a midwestern American it had an enchanting storybook vibe. This was my first European trip and it was an absolutely wonderful Dutch experience. I do plan on returning, and I do plan on staying at the Hotel de Keizerskroon again.

We travelled to Hoorn as a group of ten cyclists, check in at the hotel was quick, informative and a lot of fun with a sing-a-long! Secure bike storage was provided and all rooms were spotlessly clean. Good facilities, everything worked well including air conditioning in the room, comfy beds. Rooms were nice and quiet during the night, breakfast was amazing. A lovely hotel, thank you to Elizabeth and her team for a great stay!

The owner is amazing, friendly, she is also a talented singer which is a bonus ! Clean, hot shower, hair dryer and toiletries provided. The breakfast is generous with good coffee! You must try it! Walking distance to everything, train & bus station, harbour, main shopping street, restaurant and bars. I went there on Koningsdag when everyone parties hard on the street , surprisingly, my room was quiet and I didn't hear the noise at night. The photos are an accurate reflection of the hotel interior.

For some reason my room is very warm at night despite the fact that I switched off the heating. It's not hot , I just didn't need the duvet. The bed is too soft for me but this is a matter of personal preferences rather than the problem of the hotel.

This was my 2nd stay here and I enjoyed it just as much as the first. Elizabeth is a wonderful, warm host who happens to be a supremely talented musician, and if you're lucky enough to hear her sing at her piano, you are in for a treat. I couldn't be made to feel more safe, welcome or looked after. The hotel is central to everything you need - station, shops, sights all a quick walk away, and Hoorn is a lovely, lively town, especially during Kermis. Loved it all.

Having to leave!

Excellent attention to detail to make your stay comfortable. Your hosts are amazing. Elizabeth entertains at the piano with her great voice and is a wonderful conversationalist. You feel like family here. Our room had a large comfortable bed but little space around it, but the beautiful bathroom was enormous. Excellent bathroom amenities. Breakfast is personalized and delicious.
