Exceptional!! You must stay at La Vela Saigon when in Ho Chi Minh. Gorgeous hotel in all aspects from the foyer, to facilities, to our room. Our room had spectacular views of Ho Chi Minh, our bed was very comfortable and our room was immaculate. All staff were very friendly and attentive. There is a spectacular rooftop pool that spands for majority of the roof space with a lovely rooftop bar and lounge area with views all across Ho Chi Minh. The rooftop cocktails were truly delicious! The hotel also has several restaurants in addition to the rooftop bar, a dumpling restaurant, seafood restaurant and steak restaurant. In addition there is a buffet breakfast daily which had a large variety of delicious foods! The hotel also had a spectacular gym located on the fourth floor which was truly the best hotel gym in the history of hotels I have stayed at in all time. The gym was of a commercial standard and had all equipment and machinery you would find in a commercially operated gym!

The room was on the smaller size and had minimal space for our luggage. While the hotel is in District 3 it is a lovely location and very easy to get to District 1 by foot or by transport Grab. The lifts are also very slow!

Incredible place to stay. Pool is obviously the selling point but a special mention needs to be made about the staff. The customer service at this hotel is world class. They are respectful and treat you as if you are the only guest. Beautiful clean rooms and the cleaning staff are just amazing. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

The long hot walk to the pool (so many stairs) but 100% worth it in the end 😁. Gives the Marina Bay Sands a run for its money!

The swimming pool open to people not staying at the hotel ( for a fee )so the facilities were often taken by backpackers and others early in the morning. For a 5 star hotel this was surprisingly and devalued the experience

We had a fantastic experience staying at Le Vela and would recommend the hotel to all our family and friends. The staff especially Vu and Sam, were just amazing attending to our needs and making sure everything is as it should be. All the staff were super friendly, respectful and helpful. We were so so thankful to be upgraded to the penthouse. We paid extra for a single bed for our 3rd child but realistically they could have all shared the super large king bed and the 5 of us fitted in our room with ease. The city views were amazing too. The hotel is located an easy distance from the airport and is on the way to the main tourist area of the city. Taxis and ‘grab’ were awesome and cheap. The food and the facilities at the hotel were all excellent with breakfast included in our booking. The pool area is amazing and really is an oasis to come back to after hot busy days out in the town. The lifts worked perfectly and the water pressure for the showers was excellent. Every evening the turn down service with a goodnight chocolate and sweet treat was very special. The stay at La Vela was a highlight if our trip and forever in our lifelong memories. Very thankful to the staff, especially Vu and Sam. Thank you once again. We would certainly visit again! Xx

The view from the rooftop pool and Teh ambience of the rooftop pool at night are fantastic. It’s takes your breath away when you first see it. Huge selection for breakfast and massive gym.

The hotel advertises as 5 star and while the facilities are, aspects of the interior badly need a refresh. Our carpet was heavily stained in numerous places so much so that we felt the need to take photos in case the hotel thought we were responsible. The lifts are slow and the hotel is not in District 1, so it can be a bit of a walk to some of the attractions. The pool tiles are cracked and cut your feet if you are not careful and the jacuzzi has bubbles but is not warm. The ‘deluxe’ rooms can be small but they are comfortable. We would recommend downloading the Grab App. It’s easy to use and makes visiting the attractions easier. It’s is also very cheap and you have an agreed price up front. The hotel taxi service is 3x the cost to the airport.

Reception staff were friendly and pleasant. Rooms were clean, tidy and had everything we needed.

We put a bond down on the room however every time we would order from the roof top bar or room service, they would have an issue with us charging it to the room (as we would have to wait for them to check with reception before getting our drinks/food)

I sent email days before asking for early check-in even if with extra charge, but I received a standard answer about normal check-in time at 2pm Arriving at the hotel at 9am, the receiption denied my request and let me wait for 5 hours in the lobby before delivering me a room. Coming from Paris on a 12-hour flight and heavily jet lagged, I found this extremely rigid attitude very rude and very unhelpful. Not expected from a 5 stars hotel.

- The gym was fantastic. Best hotel gym I have ever come across. Great selection of equipment, towels to use, free detailed scale to use, water station, yoga room, good air con. - The room had everything we needed. Good air con. Cleaned and given water bottles each day. Curtain to give privacy in the glass bathroom! - Hotel is beautifully decorated. - Infinity pool and sky bar gave fantastic views. - Spa was great. More expensive than others in HCMC but you pay for the convenience. Had a great couples massage.

- Had to wait ages for lifts at times. - The drinks at the bar were overpriced and low quality. Service at the Rooftop bar was also poor. - On the Saturday night, there was basically a rave on the Rooftop and it was so loud we couldn't sleep when we had to get an early flight Sunday morning.

We booked 2 nights and extend it for 3 more :) Stuff is so nice and kind, always welcome us with big smile and they help you with anything you need. Stuff always helps you to catch the elevator and you do not wait long for it (as the other reviews are complaining). Check in and check out was simple and professional handled. Room was spacious, bed was THE BEST and the biggest I ever seen in hotels. We slept like babies in the room. Room has very good noise isolation and you do not hear noises from the crowded streets. Location is perfect, everything is near and easy access with Grab. Roof top pool and place is breathtaking, relaxing and view of the city from 26th floor is AMAZING. We were spending a lot of time there and admire daily view and sunsets from here. Breakfast is great, a lot of options to eat and also room service and pool service of food is delicious. Best option in Ho Chi Minh, you have to book your stay here!
