Location: A good place to explore Schwarzwald by hiking or biking. Close to Wutach valley with its waterfalls and gorges. Roetenbach Gorge trail starts 750m from the hotel. The hotel do not serve dinner, the only option in the village is a pizzeria – eatable, but nothing special. We recommend Gasthaus Heiligenbrunnen in Titisee, about 20min of driving. Room: large and comfortable; electric sockets: several, including near the bed, easy accessible; lighting: fair, but could be better. Stairs/elevator: there is an elevator, but first you must climb 5 high stairs. Bed: large and comfortable, two duvets. Bathroom: large, enough space for your toiletries, a bathtub and a shower in the bathtub. Breakfast: average, good soft boiled eggs, variety smaller than at the photographs published at booking.com, once we had defrosted bread, canned fruits, good Schwarzwald ham. Also cheese and jams. WiFi: OK Staff: as we had long driving, we couldn’t reasonable estimate our arrival time. The host was very flexible with respect of our check-in. A helpful set of tourist information was available in the hotel. Parking: free, private parking at the backyard

Room: we missed a bag rack. Breakfast could be better, fruits were served from can, once we had defrosted bread. Bathroom: the narrow bathtub combined with a plastic curtain made a shower unpleasant.

Everything was perfect. Breakfast was very sufficient and the hot bread was great. The products used were fresh and beautiful. They even gave us valid tickets in the region, they were very kind.

the distance between the regions is long and it is better to travel by car

- nice breakfast - nice and friendly staff -good location - nice clean rooms - very good value for money - good internet connection - we especially liked the rule they have that the rooms are not cleaned by default, so we have the choice to tell when we want somebody to enter the room

The hotel building is old, but all the interior is in good condition. Good breakfast. Great location. And all that for a very reasonable price!

The only thing I can mention for improvement is the lack of soundproofing. I heard my neighbors snoring, but earplugs helped.
