My wife and I have stayed at Colonial Hotel many times in the past and each and every time, we are very pleased! Never disapointed! Great staff, emenities, rooms and overall facility is very clean, modern with high quality features, furniture and appointments. Already planning another stay in October 2025!

Really not much to not like! The experience is great overall! A few "would be nice"... -A couple of extra fire pits would be nice, as there are only two -It's great that they give guests free parking during their stay, which is very much appreciated!, on checkout day, checkout is 11:00am, and free parking ends at noon. Parking is fairly expensive at $10.00 hr. Perhaps consider a discounted rate for guests on their last day? It'd be nice to pack the car and spend your last day exploring downtown, maybe visit the beach etc. before heading home without paying so much to park? We checked out on Monday and the parking lot was only 15%-20% capacity. Just a thought! Otherwise great place to stay!

Loved the convenience ambiance and the lobby and room smelled divine. Would definitely stay here again. Food and service at the pool bar was excellent, and attentive. Front staff was extremely polite and friendly and would see ways to go above and beyond where needed.

The rooms lacked electrical circuits for the entire family and were in inconvenient spots in the room. The pool, could use better cleaning and maintenance. Water was murky and lots of bugs and hair that could have been scooped up throughout the day. At times it was very noisy and not relaxing with loud kids. It would be nice if a designated time for quiet or adult swim.

We enjoyed the proximity to shops, restaurants, and the beach. In ground pool. The staff were all very helpful and friendly. A modern hotel with good amenities, bar by the pool, and cool comfy cabanas. Very clean, and if I was asked what stood out the most during our stay, it would be the friendly smile and welcoming feel from all the staff!

Room 209 faces a busy street, and we found it a tad noisy with the traffic. On two occasions, we heard voices and scuffle from passersby during the middle of the night. It could use some wall insulation and thicker window panes as it sounded like the window was open. The zebra blinds could be a darker shade to block the light.

The rooms were great, very clean and well maintained. The property was lovely and had a great vibe to it. We didn't get to use the pool but it was a nice feature to have. Clean comfortable room and spacious beds. Free coffee in the lobby was nice. The location to the beach alone made it so worth it! We asked for extra bedding and the staff were more than happy to accomodate our request. The hotel also has a huge parking lot which was helpful also when it came to beach parking and access. It is also right at the top of main street so access to lots of other bars, restaurants and shops just within a few steps was such a gread add on!

Not the fault of the hotel but it is right next door to a restuarant that hosts a karoke night and the musisc and sound travelled to our room because we were righ next door on that side of the hotel.

Great hotel in a good location. The room was huge and clean. The beds were big and comfy. The pool was a bonus and the staff serving at the pool were super friendly and efficient.

The hotel is in a busy location. When we went to bed after a long day it was super noisy as the hotel window was adjacent to the main sidewalk. Better window shades or curtains would have been ideal for this particular room. There were also a set of stairs as you open the hotel room door which made it difficult to get the suitcase la in.

We stayed here last year before all the renovations, and enjoyed our stay. We were surprised to come back to a new and improved hotel with a restaurant and pool. The hotel is well run, it's in a good location and the staff are lovely, especially Alex by the pool. My family will definitely visit again.

When we first arrived, the parking lot was a mess. It was a long weekend and I guess the lot gets used to public parking as well, but it was very difficult to find a spot.

Fabulous time at the Colonial. Beautiful, clean, modern, and well-appointed hotel. The staff were amazing. Emma on the front desk was wonderful and Chris the chef went the extra mile, and the food was terrific. As well the tropical drinks, poolside service, great music, amazing pool, and surrounding lounge areas made us feel like we were on vacation in the tropics. Would definitely recommend and plan to go back before the summer is out.

Only offered Earl Grey tea and it would be nice to provide shower gel.

The outdoor fire pits were a wonderful addition! All interaction with staff was by far some of the friendliest weve experienced. From front desk lobby to cleaners and security! No one was too busy to stop and chat or offer directions and suggestions. We absolutely loved the renovations this establishment has done. The rooms were spotless, and everything had a wonderful clean smell. The complimentary coffee was actually.. some of the best we have had in our travels! Bravo!

The bed was a little uncomfortable. But not horrible. Advertised as a queen bed.. seemed more like a double size. The room itself was on the smaller side, but it did have what you needed. While in Grandbend vacationing, you really are there to just sleep. It didn't have any affect on our desire to return for another trip!

Located at the top of the Main Street leading to the beach, this beautiful hotel is the perfect location to everything. The staff are so friendly and welcoming. Rooms are clean with comfortable beds, and linens and towels are great. Our rooms located in the centre court provided us with a fabulous patio outside our room with tables and chairs, great for evening drinks and socializing.

We stayed in rooms 138 & 139, great rooms!! My only complaint are the rolling shades on the patio sliding door which does very little to keep the room dark so by sunrise the room is so bright there’s no sleeping in and the beds are located right next to the sliding doors. Room darkening sliding drapes for those who want more privacy would be a nice addition.

When we arrived to the hotel, Emma welcomed us with a warm greeting and was VERY kind and with no hesitation she was very accommodating to our needs. The grounds were beautiful and we especially liked the sitting area available for us to enjoy with umbrellas and a very warm and comforting environment. We also enjoyed the free coffee available in the lobby in the morning. It was a great grab while walking to the beach.

The room had a very strong cleaning product scent that was carried throughout the hotel hallways. But on a side note we were happy to find spotless rooms.
