This is a lovely little motel. My husband and I have stayed at many hotels and motels and we really appreciate the little thoughtful amenities..The room was spotless..The owners have thought of a lot of little things: a separate freezer for the fridge a kettle,very high quality mirror and lighting, a little night light inthe bathroom, good quality blinds, , two high quality blankets, etc. A lot of pride in ownership !

Adirondack chairs were not very comfortable

The location made it easy to walk to the square and visitor center. I appreciated the owner seeking me out to ask if there was anything I needed! That doesn’t happen at a major chain!! I felt very safe and taken care of during my stay, and having my car just next to my room door was convenient. It was a pleasure to stay in this family-run motel, which was great value and CLEAN. It was a wonderful stay.

I can’t think of anything that wasn’t good.

Everything! You can easily get anywhere walking but if you need to get out to the bigger chain stores you will need to drive. Personally I think people should support their local businesses. The people running the Maple Leaf Motel are amazing. Unfortunately I get migraines and one hit me the morning I was to leave there. I called the front desk and they said not to worry just lay back down and take care of my migraine. Then I spent the extra night there and was ready to go the next morning. Not only did they understand I needed to rest but when I checked out they gave me a discount on the extra nights stay! Amazing people ❤️

The location is great, a short walking distance to the Square where there are many eating places. Staff were friendly and helpful. We arrived late afternoon on a Sunday and Iqbal, the manager/owner informed us that most restaurants close at 7 on Sundays. That was good to know.

There was a smell of urine from the floor mat, but it was replaced once we told the staff about it, and our room smelled better.

No breakfast. Was one included ? We were not aware.

The lights in the bedroom area were a little bit too bright. There could have been more of a selection of dishes in the kitchen possibly some wine glasses would be nice. The light for the kitchen was at the front door, which was very strange.

I liked the owners. Nice couple who obviously care about their clients. The motel was exceptionally clean. Beds were very comfortable. Very close to the downtown core and lots of historical sites. Great free parking. The kind of motel I would love to spend a week at with my kids. Lots of things to see and do and the Goderich beach is certainly a bonus. Really enjoyed my stay.

Staff went above and beyond to help us during our stay and worked with us when we accidentally booked an earlier date. It was our anniversary and they also got us roses to celebrate and left them in our room. They were so sweet! The room has all the general amenities you could ask for and was clean! Would definitely recommend!

The hosts were very kind. The room was clean, comfortable and quite adequate for a one night stay.

Didn't like the smell of the room. We used a body spray to cover the scent. It might have been the smell of the cleaning chemicals.

Staff were very accommodating of our late arrival and helping us manoeuvre into a parking spot. Room very clean. Air conditioner worked well on a hot July night. Modern facilities, including fridge, kettle, and microwave in room.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Maple Leaf Motel, We were really close to downtown , we were able to walk from the motel and that was great, we also walked to Chucks roadhouse for dinner, about 5 min from motel. Our room was small and so cute we were very comfortable. The owners were so nice, helpful, We will stay here again when we are back in Goderich.
