Breakfast area was spacious and comfortable with ample seating. On-duty attendant kept tables cleared and cleaned as well as food trays filled. Lots of choices. Good coffee. Not a goumet breakfast but adequate and better than a lot I've had at this type of hotel segment. The pool, walking distance to town centre and free parking were reasons for selecting this hotel. The hotel is only 5 years old and everything looked well maintained and property nicely landscaped. Staff were very friendly. During 3 night stay, there was no room make up. Appreciated not having to worry about being out of the room for this to happen. Towels dried easily between uses. Lots of towels at the pool. Liked fridge, coffee/tea maker and microwave in room.

Don't prefer non dairy coffee whitener in room. Reception gave me some cream. Could also take some back to the room in a cup from the breakfast buffet and keep in fridge.

Overall very well maintained facility, with very professional staff. The room was spacious and perfectly clean, with confortable queen beds and a large, modern bathroom. The indoor pool is a strong plus, just as large as it can be. A small 24h fitness center is also available. Breakfast was just perfect: omelette & sausage, plenty of sweet options including a waffle maker, and an adequate number of tables. A great choice to spend a few days in a small but wonderful town like Goderich and visit the beautiful East coast of Lake Huron.

I would upgrade the fitness center by adding one more treadmill.

Breakfast was the only disappointing part of our stay. We went down at 8.45 am. There was no warm eggs or other sides. Infact, it was empty. When we asked and we got barely a response. Her attitude was "coming" after 15 mins when we asked again. The other breakfast items were okay but not well stocked. Several of the people waited for her. She did not seem friendly or say a word. Unfortunately the whole experience was great till breakfast. Being in the service industry I understand staff can be an issue but everything was great till the end. However, I must say the rest was excellent from the location, beach to the comfy beds and the rest of the staff.

Very nice clean and tidy place. Staffs are always approachable and pleasant. Basic amenities are available.

Swimming pool was under maintenance. It was a boring rainy day when I checked in. We were planned to spent some time in the pool. We missed that opportunity.

I liked that the staff made great efforts to help me have the quietest experience possible. When my car didn’t start when I was leaving, the staff were SUPER HELPFUL to help with a battery boost.

The first room had a very noisy fan so I got moved. I was hoping for a bath which they said I could move to but I didn’t want to move again. I was surprised that at that cost they didn’t automatically offer daily room cleaning. We had to ask for it. I also would have enjoyed a whirlpool but none there.

Spacious parking, beatiful lanscaped building. Quiet area, staff friendly, clean, quiet (we there during week), continental breakfast was unbelievably varient. Loved waffle maker. Our room was clean awesome as had sofa couch extra and seating area(half wall. Microwave mini fridge. Town very beautiful and beach not far. Beach street restaurant right at beach,recommend the pickeral. We never been to Goderich and we were impressed. Quiet tourist town (weekends busy). Ps:must go to Culberts bakery,Cream puffs delicious.

We stayed in Comfort Inn, in Goderich August 21-23, 2023. The staff were very welcoming and efficient. We did not have to wait for the check in or check out process. The beds were very comfortable and they provided clean linens, shampoo, conditioner, shower cap, makeup wipes, lotion, soap, decaf coffee, Columbia coffee, tea and sugars in the room. They fresh bake cookies each day and place them out in a cookie jar in the entry area near lemon water. The pool was kept at a good temperature and goes to 4 feet 6 inches in depth, there was also a small gym for those who would like to work out. The buffet breakfast was great. There was bread, bagels, muffins, yogurt, apples, oranges, sausages, small omelettes, a couple kinds of cereal, a couple kinds of packages oatmeal, and waffles. For drinks there was coffee, tea, water, apple juice and orange juice.

The pool was kept at a nice temperature and we enjoyed all the available towels; however the pool walls could have used a scrubbing and their accessible entry chair was not working.

The rooms were clean and the beds were comfortable. Breakfast was good even if there were only few choices. The omelet and sausage were tasty. Their coffee was also good. Checking in and checking out was fast. Staff were nice. Location is also great because it is close to restaurants, groceries, the beach, and the downtown area.

Booking.com charged me 414.60 CAD when I booked but upon check in, I was charged 418.22 CAD by the hotel. It is just a small difference but it was just weird that the amount I booked with was not the same one i was charged by the hotel and when I asked why, the staff could not explain the reason.

The room was clean, updated and the staff were amazing. Great location

The TV. It was beyond frustrating to have to use different techniques to turn it on. It should have been easy peasy with the click of a button. This process involved powering on a few times, waiting, switching posts to Hdmi then in the meantime the box in the back would power itself off for no reason. This occurred each and everytime we tried to watch TV. and we are tech savy people but this was frustrating both of us. Never had this at at any other hotel.

Second time here,Anniversary. We had breakfast and actually were lucky on our timing and met the owners.(they live out of town) Lovely family , we were impressed that they check in places frequently and have been owners for very long time. Great breakfast selection. 730-10 am weekends. Staff super friendly and clean area.

Our room being close to ice machine room,but disturbing. Pillows need to be firmer,more stuffing. We had to double up ours. Tv remote hard to find guide (channel 10 by the way).
