This was my second stay at Joe Fisherman Inn, having last visited two years ago, and I’m so glad I decided to return! One of the key reasons I chose this place again is its perfect location—just a short walk to the beach, which makes it ideal for those looking to enjoy the sea without having to travel far. Additionally, the night market, cafes, and restaurants are all within easy walking distance, which makes exploring the local area super convenient. The staff at Joe Fisherman Inn are consistently friendly and helpful, just as I remembered. They go out of their way to make sure guests feel welcome and comfortable. The service has always been a standout here, and this visit was no different. My daughter and I truly love it here and will likely return again in the future. If you're looking for a cozy, well-located place with a warm atmosphere, this is the spot!

While we enjoyed our stay, there were a few things that could be improved compared to our last visit two years ago. This time, there was no minibar in the room, which was disappointing since it was available during our previous stay. Having cold water on hand is rather important at a beachside location, and we paid a similar price, so we expected the same amenities. We also noticed that the bath towels were stained, and the bedsheet felt sandy. There were some flies in the room too, though the overall cleanliness was okay. We didn’t complain since it was peak season, but hope these issues are addressed so guests have a better experience. Fixing these small things would make the stay even better :)

My genuine review. I recently stayed at this property and unfortunately, my experience was not up to par. The cleanliness of the accommodations left much to be desired, and the facilities were quite limited. Basic necessities like toothpaste, a toothbrush, were not provided, which is disappointing for any guest. Additionally, the bed sheets had an unpleasant odor, making it difficult to feel comfortable during my stay. I would also like to emphasize the importance of timely food service, particularly breakfast. For guests who rely on medication that needs to be taken with food, timely meals are crucial. I hope the management takes these issues seriously and makes improvements for future guests.

I stayed in room number 60, where i was informed to be the best. It was spacious, full of amenities and facilities. Example, they have even air purifier in the room. The bed is really spacious same as my personal standard king size at home, and the coverage around the bed is padded. This provides safety for my 8 months old baby. I think the owner himself served me well. I need a van taxi with special requirements and request and he arranged it accordingly with my needs. The room came with supplementary breakfast so no extra fees. It was simple as in nasi lemak, roti canai kosong, kuih, teh tarik, coffee.. but it was freeflow! And it is surprisingly delicious! Damn my morning is so good and relieving after a tiring day.. Their in house swimming pool is superb. Got enough space for adults and children. Really cool. All in all, Joe fisherman is really great. Trust me as i am regular here for around 10 years.. i know all the corners in the island's road.. haha...so far this is the best hotel i stayed here after so many years.

1. Malay lady staff needs to work more on her communication skills. She's good but there's room for improvement. 2. They need to upgrade and add more water tank. As in the peak hour (morning and late evening) everyone is using washroom. The water tank emptied and no water at all for almost 2 hours. Im just showering but imagine if someone's pooping. Sure it'll be very disappointing and got fed up.

Minor thing, there is a basic but good and large breakfast included. Drink options are tea or coffee. When we asked if they had milk or juice for our 2 and 4 y.o. the staff said that they didn't have any, so the only available drink for kids is water. Not a big deal but we would have bought milk if we knew it.

Spacious room. We had quadrant room that fits well for 3 adults 2 child who are 11 and 4. The super king size bed, two super single bed. The air conditional is very cool 😎 we really appreciated as thus far this is one of the best rooms we had stayed I meant the air cond is superb! Air purifier and hair dryer, number of mineral water are very satisfied. Location to the beach is superb, it’s just walking distance, if you are renting a car, there is spacious parking area behind the resort (no need to worry at all) , the owner Joe is very friendly and kind in recommending good and reasonable food around Pangkor. The staff are very friendly.

The lock of the room is very normal and can be opened easily. The tv channel in the room is limited but it’s fine, the room is family room however the cup only has 2 units, the tower and floor mat could be more cleaner, the floor is wooden but required more maintenance as some felt like dropping when you walking by, the pool is not cleaned due to sands but acceptable as the resort is just right walking distance to the beaches, breakfast is repeating and hence we had skipped on day two. By the way, the guest who staying here mostly are oversea tourists and you can easily make friends with anyone from other country 😃

I had booked a room for 3. But it only provided one Queen and one single bed. We were seniors in our late 60s and early 70s. This was too small for us. So the host agreed to upgrade our room to a bigger one - so that we could sleep comfortably. Of course we had to pay more. But this too was a discounted amount. The Inn is a 150 metre walk to the beach. There is a Duty-Free shop at the junction.. The road was lined with food and clothes shops all along the way. That was good too. Across the road , there were benches to sit and watch d sunset. Or u could take the steps down to the beach and bathe in d sea. Oh and breakfast was the same for both days, but perhaps there could be some variety. In addition, there was a visitor for breakfast - the hornbill. Such a lovely sight.

This room was for 5 people and big. But there is only 1 a/c. So it takes almost an hour for the room to cool down. I would suggest a stand fan be available, on request, for us to use while waiting for d a/c to complete its cooling process.. Other than this, I have no regrets.

The location is excellent—just a short walking distance to the beach. The hotel also offers motorcycle rentals, which made exploring Pangkor much easier. The pool is large, clean, and very comfortable since it’s located in the middle of the hotel, so it’s shaded and not too sunny. The hotel room was spacious enough to accommodate five adults and two toddlers comfortably. The bedsheets and toilet were clean, and there’s a restaurant right at the hotel junction, making it easy to find food.

Breakfast was okay—nothing too special. They served packed nasi lemak and roti canai, along with some sausage and popiah. But its all worth the price you paid for the hotel.

The kampung interior and location were great. Very close to the street market and beach. The room was very clean too.

The side of the wooden beds were chipped and my sons got scratches from the rough edges. The floor also have some bumps from the nails on the wooden floor, they are not sharp but can still hurt people's feet. I had to buy a tikar/ mat to cover them so my children dont hurt themselves. I also did not like the door latches (both inside and outside), not convienent as I have to use inside door latch to keep the door properly closed.

The stairways has no safety holding rail...quite dangerous for tenants who has weak knees bcoz there no elevator. Maybe should use daylight bulb instead of warm light tone bulbs in the rooms...

Staying at Joe’s means you experience the room and breakfast. My family enjoyed the family room after the long trip to arrive at the property. Clean ! We respected the policy to wash before entering the premise after spending time at the beach. Breakfast was average servings. My compliments to whoever prepared the ‘Nasi lemak bungkus’ and very nice teh tarik. Water at the pool looked murky so didn’t try the pool. Other than the beach we took a walk at the other end to look for the waterfall. Overall, I would recommend Joe’s place.
