Location is good next to beach & close to town Hotel not massive, but neat & homely. Breakfast was sufficient with polite attentive staff. Room rates are much higher compared to nearby hotels. Water sports activities & island hopping charges are very high. So we went to Nipah beach for two days. The to & fro taxi fares, water sports, island hopping plus meals & refreshments for the two days totalled up to less than half of the charges at your hotel for just kayaking & island hopping. Did those guys think we were easy targets to fleece? We are much travelled experienced Malaysians. I suppose they are private operators & not part of your hotel facilities! However, they could drive tourists away from your hotel with their high rates for beach/sea activities..

As stated above.

A small hotel on the beach, well maintained and excellent gardens. The pool was small but warm and idyllic, the hornbills fluttered back and forth over the pool. The rooms were excellent, the chalets near the beach are well finished and excellent. Breakfast was a small buffet but they changed the menu each day and everything was good quality. If you have stayed in a Malaysian hotel you will know the breakfast can be dodgy and runs out by 8am. Not this one! Very clean they came round every few hours to check for leaves having fallen. The sand was raked early in the morning. An absolutely idyllic stay. We stayed at merdeka weekend so was not cheap but was good value. We will stay again, it is everything you hope for in a Malaysian resort and rarely get.

Not much.

Friendly staff. Easy check-in and check-out. Room was clean and comfortable with everything we needed. Breakfast provided enough choices and restaurant was a good option for lunch and dinner as well because not a lot of the local eateries were open during our stay. Beautiful gardens around the pool and beachfront location was great. Regularly saw hornbills and giant hornbills. Overall very relaxing.

Our room didn't have a view. Not sure if this was because we booked late so not many options for double room left. Chalets looked nice.

this is our 4th time to pangkor sandy beach resort. we booked the deluxe family room, enough pillows, good sized bed. the room was spacious enough. it had a patio facing the pool, which the kids loved, as they could just zoom into the pool at any time. the pool was good sized, enough sun beds. there was a adult and kids pool. breakfast options were enough, they gave a change of menu every day, so it wasn't boring. lunch and dinner also can be ordered from their restaurant. food was good. celebrated my husband's 50th bday there. with a short notice, the hotel staff could pull off a pretty decent and nice dinner for the 6 of us by the beach. it was such a beautiful sunset birthday dinner. their food was also superb. nothing much to fault here. everything was good.

the bathroom shower pressure could have been a little stronger. the kids pool part of the pebble were rough, probably due to constantly being submerged by chlorine water. but there are very minute problems. rest was all ok.

Check in was a breeze. Check in staff was so nice and accommodating. You have to give a rm100 deposit during check in. Stayed in the chalet. It was spacious, clean, beautiful and comfortable. Bed was so comfy. It has a big giant tv that can play netflix, and the wifi connection was good. So many plug points, even next to the bed. Toilet for the chalet have a bathtub and a hair dryer which I love. Chalet was facing the beach. Beach was clean too and very quiet, which I love. Free ala carte breakfast which is adequate. The hotel is in pasir bogak which is quiet compared to teluk nipah. A free duty shop just nearby and you can get taxi in front of the free duty shop. They also have a restaurant that open for breakfast, and open for dinner. The price for the food in the restaurant are very affordable. Nothing fancy but good if you don’t want to go out for dinner.

Alot of mosquitoes staying in the chalet area as alot of trees and plants around there. Making it abit annoying when I try to sit at the patio to hang out. Breakfast taste wise abit bland especially the eggs but pancake was nice. It comes with the room so not much to complain free breakfast. Pool has abit too much clorine which stings the eye but its not that bad. I came during weekdays so alot of restaurants are not open but not the hotel’s fault.

My first visit to Pangkor, and I must admit, the views are stunning—both the sunrise and sunset are truly breathtaking. They served an excellent buffet breakfast, and we also tried their dinner—the butter prawns were simply amazing, and the prices were reasonable. My dad, mom, and sister absolutely loved their teh tarik. Getting around town was convenient since we rented a car, though it’s not really necessary unless you have kids with you. The swimming pool was fantastic, with easy access from my room to both the pool and the beach. The manager is always around, and he's a very friendly person. We had a great chat, and he even shared some must-visit spots for our trip. The staff were also incredibly kind, and on my last day, I met the owner—a warm and welcoming uncle. One memorable experience was the manager stopping by during breakfast to feed the hornbills. I would definitely visit again!

Hmmmm, I couldn’t think of much at first, but then I remembered—there were dogs on the beach, so don’t run, or you might get chased! Also, keep in mind it’s a humid area, so leaving your sliding door open may invite mosquitoes 🦟 . I learned this the hard way when I opened my door to enjoy the beautiful view of the pool. By the time I noticed the mosquitoes, it was too late. I called the reception, and they promptly came over to place mosquito repellent in the room, so it was all sorted! Honestly, there’s nothing I can think of that I didn’t like! 😀

The room is great. Sparkling clean and all amenities is available. Big smart TV screen. Water pressure good. Bathroom feels like new. A lot of hangers provided for all 4 of us. There's a safe and fridge in the room which is convenient. There's also a sliding door which leads to the pool and every unit has a tap outside to wash sand or dirt from your feet. You can hang your wet swim wear outside your room.

There's no fan so you need to be on air-conditioning as long as you're in the room. Stayed on the ground floor, you can hear people on first floor walking. The bed is a little bit springy. Would have enjoyed the sleep if bed were better.

The location is strategic. Love that the resort located at the beachfront and close to the jetty. Love the fact that this resort is small but complete with facilities. I don’t have to walk far from one place to another. The place is clean and well maintained. I also like that almost all the room built surrounded the pool area.

There is no phone connected to front desk. The taste of the food can be improved. The stairs connected to the beach is quite steep. Supposed to add handrail for support. But there is ramp next to the resort.

It's as advertised, a 3 star hotel. So please don't compare to a 4 or 5-star. We got room 103 and 105 (both facing the swimming pool) and it's on the ground floor. And it's just steps away from the beach. The bathroom looks pretty new. TV is Netflix-ready, so we used our Netflix account to watch movie in the evening. The restaurant was also very close to the rooms. They prepared adequate breakfast spread. Kudos too to the front counter staff because I did call earlier to get some info on how to reach the hotel from the mainland. The advice was extremely helpful! A great experience overall!

Everything is almost perfect (for a 3 star hotel). Perhaps to change some of the worn out towels?
